Clean notes played on a home-made diddley bow. Sampled with an electric pickup and a little added reverb to make up for lack of sustain. Seasick steve inspired me to construct a diddley bow (it ain't hard). All you need is a length of wire, 4 or 5 ft of two-by-four, some timber nails, an empty bottle and a hammer.

Smokey joeand replicant a compressor, some darkware, and a touch tiny touch of reverb, and more stuff. . Ran through a mathamatical midi program. . . . 3. 14 (pi).

Three quick samples of the gear one mk1000 on kick (+ a single audio technica at2020 overhead on the rest of the kit). Recorded straight into a tascam us-1800 in a lousy room with a less-than-optimal 22" mapex kick drum. Each quick loop / snippet is 1) presented in mono / processed with compression and some eq (mostly a 6dbish scoop at around 300hz on the mk1000 and 80hz rolloff on the 2020 with about 5db less on the mk1000 than the 2020), then 2) presented exactly as recorded / no processing at all save normalization, mk1000 panned hard left channel, at2020 panned hard right. The first two samples are the mk1000 in the resonant head cutout, the third is the mk1000 positioned about 4" from the head and just about 2" from dead center of the drum.

Heres a quality fat "street" beat ready for use in a aggressive hip-hop or big-beat production. Long sample containing subtle variations and a ending tail fx. I went out back to record the robin and also noticed a smaller pileated woodpecker right over on the wood pile. Listen hard and you'll hear it peck the wood. That's the first sound you hear along with the robin and my neighbors kids. Recorded on my yamaha pocketrak and edited on sony vegas with two track duplications. An elderly bathroom extractor fan is switched on with the lights, left running, switched off and eventually cuts out automatically. Its bearings might be about to pack up, or there's something catching the blades, or both! the start was surprisingly noisy so the file has been hard limited to -1db. Recorded with a sony pcm-m10.

This first loop in series is a simple, beat in 4/4 time run at 140 bpm. It features an extremely thick bass sound with general techno patterns you might hear in normal techno music. The pack is aimed for general use in any type of techno, trance music. The loop was created mainly with reaktor's arobic.

This series is done through layering and processing many samples of drum sounds i synthesised using various plugins namely xoxo's vst's and zynaddsubfx mixed with some old hardware samples i made a long time ago. Walking on the concrete area of a nature trail on a late summer evening. Heavy footsteps with hard impact on concrete. The sound of crunched acorns and sticks can occasionally be heard and a pine cone being kicked. Crickets chirp continuously in the background. Recorded in southeast usa with a sony ic recorder.

I've spotted two skaters on a pavement and i decided to spend my last few free megabytes on the sounds they were making. The skaters were rolling on a hard pavement made of small square panels. Recorded with rare pair of xy mics of zoom h2 (hand-held) @ 96khz/24-bit. Unprocessed and unedited recording. Converted to flac with audacity.

A guitar through defective self-modulating delay. The time potentiometer went "bad" after years of hard twisting and abuse, and now it warbles and pitch-shifts on it's own. It's very temperamental, though. The pedal is a johnson "ead-2 analog echo delay". May be useful for an outro or something! let me know if you use it, i'd love to hear the results!.

I recorded the fan on quite loud and i opened and closed the cd drive on my hp eletebook 8460p, different laptop models have a different frequency from the fan and different cd drives make a different sound when checking it. Recorded from the internal microphone.

It was quite windy and the rain hit the windows really hard. The wind tinkled the lamp. I recorded this sound by positioning a rode nt1 a few decimeters away from the lamp. You can hear some talking in the background. Recommended audio edit: low cut at 30 hz and soft high cut (6db/oct)starting at 1. 5khz.

This is a kick i made with my mouth. I've been making this hardcore kick sound with my mouth since high school, more than 10 years. I blended two layers of the sample, one normal pitch one an octave down. Added a distortion and eq to it. Used adobe audition and fl studio to make this. 请享受.

Samsara ekd was used for the kick, sent through eq and a couple of distortion plugins. Black noh snare was used for the snare, with a resonator and reverb placed on top of it, as well as eq and compression. Hcx was used for the hihats, with one eq plugin placed on it. The master channel got brickwalled (or bricked) using compressivecm vst.
