Samsara ekd was used for the kick, sent through eq and a couple of distortion plugins. Black noh snare was used for the snare, with a resonator and reverb placed on top of it, as well as eq and compression. Hcx was used for the hihats, with one eq plugin placed on it. The master channel got brickwalled (or bricked) using compressivecm vst.

My original dw toms, mixed with themselves 1 octave up [the octave up is lowered -6db and the envelope reshaped to allow loud only the attack]. Then for that resulting mixdow again the same thing [so i used the same method two times]. At all steps i was using the simple compressor[not multiband] for not allowing overlimiting. For the two general mixdowns [because it was a double process] i used hard compressor at -0. 45 dbs. And for the two octavic parallel channels i used hard compressor -3. 60 dbsbecause the octave doesn't sound realistic if not well compressed. For all my dw octavic tomsed i used the same exact method. My original dw toms are here if you want to read data or mics. These toms do not sound realistic as stand alone sounds. These harmonics work better only in a complete mixdown, and have increased audibility than the original recordings [for silent music parts use the original because low velocity of parallel instruments will expose the supportive tom-harmonics].

Possible applications of this sound could be used for atmosphere building, such as a player going over a trigger in a map design for industrial-themed levels where there is a lot of hot water pipes. This is a sound to emulate cracks on a wall as they happen or rocks falling off a cave or earthquake aftermath. Simply by holding my olympus ws600 against a lamp with beeds and crumbling hard plastic on the other then i uploaded the file to audicity and added the gverb effect to make it sound from a short distance and converted the file to mono as well :).

I used bdx for the kick, sent through disto-fx and various eq plugins. Cymbalistic was used for the hihats, with further eq and gating placed on it. The snare was from a free sample pack (i can't remember the name of) sent through a resonator, eq plugins and some soft-clippers to give it a bigger sound. Clipmax was used on the master channel.

I moved the zoom h1 n onto the window sill in the veranda. It picks up the rain beating on the thin plastic roof sheathing above, and on the glass windows next to the window sill. It is rainy weather - january winter rains on vancouver island. It is a hard driving rain. My recollection is that it was about twelve millimeters in one hour. It was wet, the trees grow fast & tall.

This is a sound of a mercedes benz 709d mini bus driving on a really hard icy road. It was a rattly old bus, everything squeaked and rumbled on it. This was recorded in a university building in melbourne in 2018. It was after hours, in the evening, so the building was mostly empty. I was in a hallway that had lots of hard surfaces including linoleum floors. I could hear a baby crying in a room that was several metres away. This recording is mostly reverb and its very atmospheric. I just recorded it with my smartphone, but it was such a great sound that i had to get it!.

Brief mechanical motor and clicking noises followed by the famed sustained f sharp major chord (detuned 30 cents flat) being projected over low quality, built-in speakers. Mechanical noise has defined pitch and is predominantly in the mid-high frequencies. Recorded on zoom h2n, in small, empty room. Audio clip normalized in post-processing.

This is a background sound i've created designed to imitate the noise produced by a vast collection of typewriters being worked on in a large warehouse environment. All the noises within in have been taken from freesound. There are 8 different typewriters here. On some channels i stuck a lo pass and some big room reverb, and on others i added a little compression to bring them to the forefront. The whole had a hard limiter to -6 on the top.

This sound was very simple to make. I just took the sound of an opera singer singing a scale and added reverb to it. Nothing more, nothing less. A classic movie punch sound recreated by hitting a leather car seat with a cricket bat. Recorded using a rode k2 tube mic and a schoeps cmc6, driving the preamps hard and compressing the input, then heavily compressing a number of takes using analog-emulation plugins (including a fairchild 660) and running the mix through waves maxxbass. Then limiting some more and finally adding the swoosh of a riding crop and a non-linear reverb noise tail.

This is a nice clean recording of hard-rubber soled shoes running and walking up and down metal stairs in a concrete stairwell. It's reverberant, but clean. I hope it's useful to somebody. Found a half-broken wind-up rotating christmas tree music box. . . Thing. . . Raw 24/96 ms recording; be sure to decode before use. Left channel is mid, right is side. To do this manually you should separate the channels to two mono tracks, duplicate the side track and invert the duplicate. Pan the side tracks hard left and right, and mix with the mono mid channel. Created using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ). Here i have used zynaddsubfx for the hoover type sound and 3 instances of glitch2 vst on the drum loop that i created. There is some compression, stereo widening and side-chaining used also. ( i used a higher resolution samplerate to export this file, which created a further glitch effect on the glitch2 vst,i believe it is maybe hardcoded to 41000hz or perhaps lmms can't handle higher sample rates on vst plugins ).

This is a sound effect for when somebody or something (like a bone being snapped in a fight breaks). When an actor breaks somebody's arm wrist or ankle. It is really good and you can get creative with this. This is no doubt the best sound effect i have ever made. Try it out! all you have to do is give me credit in the credits if you use this sound. So yes, it's royalty free!:).

I initially created this snare using lmms ( linux multimedia studio ) and a single instance of the zynaddsubfx plugin. There were many effects and experiments done before exporting as an audio stem. Next i opened this stem ( single snare hit ) in bitwig studio and made a few copies of it and timestretched and chopped and then joined together in a group track the parts i liked to make the whole sound. Final effects included saturation, equalization , sidechain-limiting and compression.

Using a bass drum module to get not that bassdrummy sounds. . . Combining this with different types of feedback. I didn't know how to end the recording, as you will notice. I'm using an analog delay and spring reverb. Maybe the ending in it self is interesting? i find it hard to "tag" this sound :-)how useless is this sound on a scale from 1 to 5? 5 is totally useless. . .

Foley footsteps on gravel/small pebbles for a beach. Walking, running, and sitting gently and hard - originally being used for an audio drama podcast. This is a completely raw recording, so have kept in 'silence' for you to clean how you prefer, depending if you're doing anything to the pitch. Recorded on a se electronics x1 large condenser mic. This was recorded at the edge of a field, so it's literally a field recording. It's summer, there has been some rain but now it has stopped and the sun is out. A lark is singing its heart out. There is some wind noise which i've reduced with eq and noise removal using audacity, also some traffic noise from the road some way to my right (hard to get away from traffic noise).
