This is a nice clean recording of hard-rubber soled shoes running and walking up and down metal stairs in a concrete stairwell. It's reverberant, but clean. I hope it's useful to somebody. While attribution isn't necessary, i'd love to hear what you've used it in. Also, for anybody who's interested, it was actually recorded in the parking garage of universal studios in hollywood, ca. I used 2 low frequency operators (lfo) on a low pass filter (24db) on a generic pink noise sound with medium resonance settings, one of these lfo's was manipulating the other one with a random ramp, to make it sound more diverse and realistic. I put an aditional long envelope on the q (resonance) also, not to mention some chorus at a low tempo to make it kinda binaural with a stereo delay at a short time setting. . . I hope you enjoy it!.

I got a weird story for this one! i took a machine sound from my grandpa's workshop, overloaded it with flanger so it didn't even sound like a machine anymore, got a little snippet of the sound, pitch shifted it up, and repeated it, eqed it, and added some reverb. (the machine didn't have anything do do with it btw. You can do this with any sound. ) hope you guys enjoy this sound. Feel free to use this anywhere you want. :).

Large metal sheet and ornamental metalwork gate to village cemetery opened and shut, creaking on it's hinges. Recorded around midnight to avoid bird and insect calls - despite this precaution there were birds calling in the distance. On arrival i saw there was a house adjacent to cemetery. Fearful of waking the non-dead i didnt hang around for more than two bad takes. I've added this not so impressive recording to give a taste of what i hope to record of this wonderfully vocal gate in the future.

Recording quality was not as great as i would have hoped although there should still be something useful here, i learnt 2 valuable lessons though:. 1. This is an aif (garage band) file of just good ol' tape hiss recorded from a jvc tape machine (cassette). It's just tape hiss. You can change the freq to help blend it in your recordings. I have the volume on this at a higher level. When i blend this with my digital recordings i turn it down just enough to hear it without it being too analog sounding. Hope you can use it. It's great for soft passes and solo instruments, much like white noise of a studio perhaps.

This is the sound of seagulls, ducks and other water birds competing with gigantic carp fish, and each other, for food on lake mead. It starts mellow and and grows into a full-blown frenzy with lots of calling, quacking, chirping, splashing, thrashing and slurping (from the fish). The hoover dam isn't far from this lake, so tourist helicopters occasionally pass by. I hope you all like it. :).

I was trying to make a techno song for my friend that went horribly wrong!!! i converted her voice into midi, then opened the midi into sony acid and used refx nexus to try and make a techno song, but something went wrong in sony acid during rendering and it took 30 minutes to render, and this scary suspense ambiance was what came out of the failed rendering of the song. . . This is perfect for those scary movies you need to make. . . I hope you find a use out of my failed song attempt!!!.

Created and formatted for the make noise morphagene, this reel is divided into three sections with like sounds clustered together for ease of navigation. The first group of splices are glitchy, percussive, experimental, modular snippets. The middle third consists of melodic and chordal washes. The final cluster is a series of field recordings taken from a recent trip to beirut, lebanon, with a cut up inspired splice at the very end. Collectively, i hope this sonic material will inspire the user to mangle, manipulate, and deconstruct to taste.

Hello,. This is the sample pack that i completed for the sound design course at slam academy. The theme of this pack is sounds that could be used to make melancholy and dark sounding music, but use however you see fit. I used ableton’s operator and analog synthesizers and xfer’s serum plugin to create this sounds. All processing was used using ableton’s stock effects and serum’s stock effects. A patch generating triggers not that random. . . The triggers are triggering an envelope generator and a sample and hold. The sample and hold cv is quantized following a minor 7th chord rules. This sound was taken with zoom h4n recorder. Location: meylan, france, in the alps. The town is situated near a 300. 000 inhabitants city, in a valley surrounded by moutains. Description : rain is pouring louder and louder, rolling thunder strikes periodically, exploding like a gunshot or echoing from one moutain to another. (i'm afraid at one point, the sound of a music from a video game played by neighboors was recorded, but apart from these few seconds, this sound is cool ;))hope you'll find it helpful.

My swiss army knife of sounds: i recorded myself falling over a plastic stool for an episode of our comedy podcast, mission: rejected. It was supposed to be a one-time sound, where a clumsy analyst named stuart gilligan trips while getting out of his chair. I've used this sound two dozen times since, for fights, trips, tearing pictures off walls, throwing people out of windows, and plenty of others. I can't explain why this sound amuses me so much, but i hope others can find use and amusement in it as well.

It's a recording of audience applauding during a gig. You can hear around 50 people clapping their hands, sometimes shouting. There is also sometimes a piece of music or the vocalist's speech audible. I tried to eliminate any music, without badly trimming the sound. I used some fade-ins and fade-outs here and there. The sound was recorded with a zoom h2's rear stereo mics, originally 48000hz/24-bit wav. Edited and converted to flac using audacity. I hope you'll enjoy this sound and find it usefull.

I placed about 200 small brass ball-bearings (2mm diameter)on to a "half-life analogy apparatus" (which i have access to but i've never see the like using a google search. Basically its a titled wooden box with holes. The ball bearings roll down some of which fall through the holes and are collected in a beaker. The remainder are collected at the end of chute. Anyway, i just like the sound and hope someone can make use of it !i used a zealsound microphone and recorded directly into my laptop using audacity. The sound is as recorded.

This is a compilation of recordings from behind my daughter's house in dallas. Close to the rr track where they probably travel. But she seems to have a group of them near her who live there for at least part of the year. The 2 barks are from her late dog leo who she lost this year so i could not bear to take them out. Also i processed this audio with audacity and they started as mono. . . So i put them in stereo tracks. . . . 1 looping envelope and 2 vclfos in a dance. I think its harder for this combination to find a nice pattern - equilibrium. It happens sometimes. Maybe the mixture between positive and negative cv confuses the modules. Makes it harder. I start the recording with the looping envelope in non looping mode. After about 19 sec i switch to looping-mode. Records and hope that a pattern should emerge. This time there is a pattern. Yay! not 100% stable but that's perfect!okay, it is harder to recognize patterns when a sequencer is involved.
