Another one with 1 looping envelope and 2 vclfos in a dance. I start the recording with the looping envelope in non looping mode. After about 33 sec i switch to looping-mode. Records and hope that a pattern should emerge. So, what do you think? one more time i switch looping mode off and then on. Cool technique.

I captured this excited pileated woodpecker on the edge of some deep woods, on a hot dusk in august 2010. It was about 7:30 on a calm night at the edge of the shawnee national forest. The tempurature was 85 degrees. What i find really enjoyable though is the rising, and ebbing and flowing of, i believe the typical summer cicadas. Recorded using my zoom h4n recorder using the internal buil-in microphones.

I created a click track and got rid out the last two beats of each bar. I shortened the spaces between the first two beats of every bar. I then added a reverb effect and created another layer of brownian noise to even out the silence. Big lightning happening in my hometown the evening of may 24th 2020. Went outside with a tascam dr-05 handheld recorded to try and get some thunderclaps, but unfortunately the rain and lightning were more prevalent than the thunder. A mid morning field recording on 05 march 2021 in our rural garden. There is a road at the side of the garden but i have removed what i could hear of the few cars that passed by. Also removed sounds of a gate and doors opening and closing. There was a slight breeze that a wind sock didn't entirely prevent coming through as wind noise. I have cut most of this.

This sound was the unintended result from fidgeting around with audacity on a song (i can't remember which song it was though). I thought instead of trashing it, it might be useful for someone looking for a little horror background sound. (grusel is a german word for horror. ).
