This sound was created from an image of 16 bits / channel grayscale. You can see the image on the following link https://goo. Gl/j5cuhp. The image has been exported to raw format and then was imported into audacity where i applied effects and plugins. The effects and plugins that i use for these sounds called "image sonification" are: eq, paulstretch, reverb among others.

Scenario: dog is given a treat on a tempered-glass dinner plate, which he licks clean. Plate remains on the no-nap outdoor carpet, unnoticed, because it isn't terribly important that it be picked up right away. In the meantime the wrapped-up power cord to a shop vac falls to the floor, right next to it. As i walk by i accidentally kick the electrical plug, striking the plate. Woww gotta record that. . .

A simple sound consisting of four notes using pizzicato strings of the program tuxguitar v1. 2. May be used as a pop-up sound, the effect of a window or program opening, or even in a game of yours. You do not have to give me credit of any kind. I think of this work as a simple but important contribution to the community. However, if do you wish to tell me, i would be glad to know how this sound was used in your project!.

Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. Result a generative ambient patch and sound. I recorded for 1,5h. The synth gave me some strange slow crescendo. Don't really know why. This is the last 30 min. Space drone sci-fi sound.

Digital noise made from raw binary files extracted from hdd with hexplorer using raw import function in audacity. Files were 4, each made from 200 sectors. I modified each sound using filters and joined them together to make longer looping example. Good to use in a game or 3d video animation as background ambient noise. Audacity and hexplorer are freeware and you can make similar job with them. . .

Money pengar. Used ms paint in windows 7 to create a. Png picture with the words money pengar written, it looks like this: http://cwg83cwg83. Deviantart. Com/art/money-pengar-412988974. Then i used audacity to import raw data in form of the picture. The resulting sound is obvious if you click the play button on my sample. Did this as an experiement, making a sound out of a visual file. I made several files from different images and noted that they had different sounds. Cheers.

This recording was made by me on monday, october 20th, at approximately 7:30pm. It was done in my house in montgomery county, pa, with a rode ixy mic (the 30 pin version), attached to an iphone 4s. The iphone, with the mic, was placed on the sink, approximately 6 to 8 inches away from the toilet. The sound was recorded using rode's iphone recording software, then uploaded via their file transfer site, downloaded, and then imported to adobe audition cs6 being run on a mac book pro, and normalized.

Channeling the /dev/sda1 hard drive partition into a file. At last i've imported the raw file properly as the 8-bit unsigned linear pcm. This is 8bit mono 44100 hz windows wave. Lots of strange digital sounds. Quite useful for noise and experimental musicians. Interesting that if we just do cat /dev/sda1 > /dev/dsp we hear different sound more like modem 56k. I also made a record of it. See my files.

A sample that was made completely by accident. I was recording outside my local park and trying to capture the bird calls (with a semi-successful effort - too much motorway noise is a bit of a bummer) one morning and aimed my uchó pro at the ground as i stood on a sludgey leaves and wet sticks with the input too high - overdriving it but also somehow making a gore sound effect. When i imported it to reaper, time-shifting it - i spotted the unique flavor of crunchiness and wetness it gave.

Simple patch. Two oscillators, ring modulation, lfos, vcas and digital effects. No spring reverb this time. Important module is the clock divider. The oscillators where tuned to the same tone one octave apart. Well. . . Not exactly. After having recorded i measured the frequencies 228,8 hz and 117,7 hz. . . But that made the output from the ring modulator interesting. What is generative with this? i modulate amplitude of the sounds and the decay for all thee sounds. This also affects the rhythm sound.

Recorded from my apartment, second floor. This starts with a few bolts of lightning during the end of a typical early summer afternoon and ends up on a pretty huge thunderstorm including hail. I wish i could have recorded more but the storm was getting so important, i had to close my window.

This was meant to be a part of a track i was working on, but ended up getting caught up in something else. So, i decided to give this away to those of you who may have use for it. The most important effect used to make this was absynth 5's atherizer. If anyone needs any of my sounds (or sounds not yet uploaded) customized to meet their preferences, please feel free to let me know, and i'll see what i can do.

5 individual sounds created for a cyclops monster in a project that was cancelled before any real sound design could begin. This sound was created by recording various vocal noises and importing them into pro tools. Each vocal take was then pitch shifted down by -24 semitones and duplicated into 4-5 layers. These layers were processed individually using techniques such as reverse reverb, distortion and eq to emphasise different aspects of the creature's roar. The final sound is a result of all these layers playing simultaneously.

Alam Ara (Hindi: à¤à¤²à¤® à¤à¤°à¤¾, Urdu: عاÙ٠آراء , translation: The Light of the World) is a 1931 film directed by Ardeshir Irani. It was the first Indian sound film.[1][2] Irani recognised the importance that sound would have on the cinema, and raced to complete Alam Ara before several contemporary sound films. Alam Ara debuted at the Majestic Cinema in Mumbai (then Bombay) on 14 March 1931. The first Indian talkie was so popular that "police aid had to be summoned to control the crowds.

A simple multi-sampled synthetic spacebass pack, containing 25 samples, derived from 2 octaves of a home made soft-synth patch. The original quality was 24 bits with a sample rate of 88. 2khz, which i converted with a very good src to 16 bits and 44. 1khz. Not that is was that important after all considering the fact that the patch itself has a grainy character in the higher frequencies. . . No compressing, equalizing whatsoever involved, the panning is pretty wide tho, with left and right sounding rather different, but in stereo it still feels pretty balanced i think.

The raw data is result of this command in my linux command line shell:. Cat /dev/sda1 > my_hard_drive. Then the file my_hard_drive has been imported as raw by audacity sound editing program with attributes:. Signed 16 bit pcm with no byte order 2 channels (whatever. . . ) stereo, 44100 hz. This sound differs from that which can be played just by command "cat /dev/sda1 > /dev/dsp" - this last command plays sound through speakers instead of writing a file. The sound is closer to sound of 56k modem. Later i will upload it (i've just connected line-out of sound card to it's microphone slot).

Thought this would make the perfect, very unique style to use drums as filler background music during a very important statement or speech. This track is a little over two minutes long and has just enough soft beats to not distract the listener to what is being said. This was recorded using a yamaha keyboards guitarpop style drum rhythm, audacity & a little improvisation. I must admit. . . I like what i hear and i think - so will you!. No acknowledgement to me is necessary but maybe a shout-out to yamaha would seem in order.

Recording of my duduk. It's in the key of a, so i played a b3 and pitched it up to c3 with melodyne so it's usable in a sampler or to import as a wavetable in serum or whatever. Because of it's harmonic content, it actually works great as a clean yet relatively translatable sub bass for electronic music. I used it to make a wavetable in serum which works perfectly. The instrument is a double reed woodwind folk instrument from armenia, the reeds are made of a flattened piece of bamboo, and the body is made of the wood from an apricot tree. And it's history dates back to approximately 1200bc. Enjoy!.

This sound is produced by one of the eye tracker experiments at cbc (upf). These experiments are oriented to newborns and it analyzes their brain cognition by stimuli. As researchers of the center for brain and cognition, we work to advance our understanding of how experience influences the emergence of structure and function through computational and experimental investigation. We are also interested in understanding how mechanisms regulating brain development interact with the effects of experience to produce the structural and functional characteristics of the brain. These lines of research clarify how specific biological mechanisms routinely support the emergence of cognitive functions, leading to insights into why experience is so important for normal brain development. Hello all,. I do hope that i am doing it all okay by the book, and if it is picked by the moderator, than do enjoy the file, thank you. Process :i did download a cc open scream file from freesound. Org. I imported that file to my ableton live. I reverse the sample and shorten a little. From the sample window i changed flux and grain values to bring out uneasy tones in front. I did make two other copies of the sample and played them all in same sequence, with slight different transpose values. I rendered it out and from the rendered file i did do further cleaning with audacity and export mp3 file for final. Here is the original sound http://www. Freesound. Org/people/claracarpintero/bottom one (female scream). Thank you kindly.

The "annoying" speed chime, turned world famous drift hero by initial d; as it was intended to be heard by the toyota motor corporation. A common issue with these chimes is that the second impact is muted by the impact rod, this was mitigated in this file by holding the chime with a specific side up. This is marked by the second bell properly ringing out after the second impact. This rendition is a pre-timed, loopable, clean version of the chime, recorded from a real imported 86640-12070 "king kong" (kin-kon) chime. Sound created by attaching a power supply set to 12v ~0. 35a in an amateur studio. Like many of my files, these are completely free to use without even giving credit! :) my only request is you tell me where you use them!. These are also called 「速度警告チャイム」(sokudokeikoku chaimu) meaning "speed warning chime" and colloquially 「キンコンチャイム」 (kinkon chaimu) literally derived from the "kin-kon" sound it makes. Dream on‼.

A recording of flushing the toilet’s water, followed by a groaning door closing sound. Production stages : this sound was originally recorded by a group of students at university lyon 3. Then it was imported to audacity where few modifications were made. First of all, the record was precisely cut so there are no human voices in the background. Then, the sound was normalized and slightly compressed before applying the noise reduction effect. Last, but not least a constant gain was added at the beginning and lightly fading effect took his place at the end.

A recording of ringing a bicycle bell, slowed by 64%. Production stages- first of all we recorded the sound of a bicycle bell, then i imported it to audacity. I cut the beginning as well as the end, adding a constant gain at the beginning and a constant fade at the end so that the sound would be even more harmonic. Then i slightly compressed the sound, and normalized it. Then i used a “noise reduction” in order to get rid of the sound in the background and a slight equalizer.

Br-laser vector synthesis reel for make noise morphagene. These sounds have visuals encoded into them at high frequencies. The vector synthesis reel for the make noise morphagene is a collection of different xy samples, to show off morphagene's stereo sampling capability. The sample material can be displayed on oscilloscopes, modified vectrex game consoles, ilda laser displays or oscilloscope simulation software in xy mode. Some splices on the reel can be used as seamless loops. Here is a video to give a basic idea of the reelhttps://youtu. Be/cxxb9veyq6w. Calm ambient track. Winter woods / pinewood february 12. 41 pm (noon) in the netherlands near village giersbergen. Bram’s admin request-text and my answer in audio. Hello freesounders,it happens very infrequently that i post requests. However, i have an extraordinary sad reason to do so today. I don't want to go into detail in this public forum, but someone incredibly important and incredibly young in my life and my wife's just passed away. I am thus looking for an extra long recording of a peaceful "forrest ambience" to play during the good-bye ceremony. Something with some birds and perhaps some wind through the leaves,. . . . Currently the ceremony is planned for april 6th so i would need this before then. I know i can look through freesound, but i would like something specifically recorded with this in mind, something we will be able to listen to later as well, remembering this important and sad time in our life. . . Nl/natuurgebieden/nationaal-park-loonse-en-drunense-duinen. In the loonse en drunense duinen you will find forest, heathland and especially a lot of sand. It is one of the largest shifting sand areas in western europe. The wind can blow undisturbed in many places, resulting in an ever-changing landscape. By purchasing it in 1921, it has been protected for 100 years and we can still enjoy this brabant sahara today. You can roam freely on the sand plain. So there is plenty of room to explore extensively. Marvel at the submerged trees, enjoy the chirping field crickets and quench your thirst at one of the many cafes or restaurants on the edge of this nature reserve. Walking, cycling or on horseback: it's all possible here. With the wind in your hair and the sand in your shoes. You may even come across the sheep herd. The sheep keep the heath short and eat away saplings. This is how they keep the area open. The loonse en drunense duinen still has 270 hectares of shifting sand. That sand creates rather extreme conditions: the soil is dry and nutrient-poor. The difference in temperature between day and night can be as much as 50 degrees celsius. This ensures a unique flora and fauna. The animals and plants have adapted or feel at home in drought, aridity and temperature fluctuations. Sand sedge and various lichens, for example. And the viviparous lizard, sandpit beetles and sand bees. All species that love sand. In the last ice age, the polar winds blew sand from the north to brabant, where it remained in thick packages. For a long time this sandy plain was covered with primeval forests. Until the fourteenth century the trees were felled by people. They used the wood as fuel. The bare plain was filled with heather, where the farmers grazed their cattle. This intensive grazing and the sod cutting of the soil depleted the soil. This gave the sand free play. For a long time, the sand was a major problem for the residents. Villages and fields threatened to disappear under it. Trees were planted to stop the advancing sand. You can still see the traces of this today: find the submerged trees that only peak above the sand hills with their crowns. Date/time: february 15th tuesday 2017, start 12. 44 pm. This is a sci-fi ambient drone sound i made. It's creative commons cc0, so please treat it as public domain. You can use it in any commercial or non-commercial media for free, no restrictions. For those curious how i made this, i took a quick 8-second drum loop from my pocket operator po-33 (ko) and ran it through a free time-stretching/pitch-shifting program called akaizer. The program's based on old samplers like the akai s1000 that had extremely artifact-heavy time-stretching and pitch-shifting features. If you slow a sound down enough, the final product tends to sound harsh and electric. Akaizer turned my 8-second drum loop into 2 minutes and 38 seconds of harsh, bassy noise, pretty damn close to the final. Then i imported the file (we'll call it file a) into reaper, my daw. Track 1 has reaeq with a high-shelf acting like a low-pass. Its curve is set at 1386. 2 hz, gain at -inf, and bandwidth at 2. In retrospect, i have no idea why i didn't use a low-pass. Track 1 has a send to a blank track 2, which has a fab-filter pro-q 3 high-pass filter with a 12db slope. It's at 320. 57hz, q is 1. 096. After the eq, track 2 has valhalla shimmer set to the black hole preset with no changes. Track 3 is the default file a with valhalla shimmer on the black hole setting, but with two tweaks. Low-cut is at 30hz, high-cut is at 6630hz. Everything else is the same. That's followed by fab-filter pro-q 3 with these eq settings:-0. 72db at 69. 463hz, q at 1. 007. -1. 11db at 536. 64hz, q at 1. 013, dynamic eq (click "make dynamic" and leave everything as-is). The point of this dynamic eq is to give a slight drop in gain in the 500hz region, which tends to get muddy in larger mixes. I wasn't sure if i'd use this for a larger project, and i didn't want build-up in that region from the already large-sounding track 1 and 2. The ocassional eq drops here also adds a warble to the final mix that helps sell an analog, electrical sound. +0. 85db at 3697. 3hz, q at 1. 009. This is to add subtle airiness to the drone. It seems weird to have "airiness" in the 3-4k region, but it's the sort of rumbliness of the sound traveling away and dissipating in the atmosphere after the lowest drone sounds. My volume fader settings for all 3 tracks:. Track 1: -8. 59 dbtrack 2: -6. 46 dbtrack 3: -6. 43 db. On my master bus, i have izotope imager 9 with these settings:. Band 1: width at -100 (mono) for 59hz and below. Band 2: nothing at 60hz to 525hz (width at 0). Band 3: width at 48. 1 for 526 to 1. 4khz. Band 4: width at 49. 4 at 1. 4khz and above. Stereoize is set to 6. 4ms on mode i. And that's it! no compressors or limiters anywhere, since i liked how dynamic the actual tracks were and i figure you can always add your own compressor or limiter to the final if you want. I've also added the original po-33 drum loop on my page, as well as the loop after it was run through akaizer but before it hit reaper in case you want to do your own processing. Enjoy :).

Sounds of orchestral drums that can be used for film scoring or making other kinds of soundtrack music. Begins with oneshots, there's also rolls, accents and phrases. This is synthesized with zynaddsubfx. Sequenced and rendered with lmms, eqd, normalized and edited with audacity. Paste the following text into a text file and import that as labels in audacity, you can then export multiple files from this one and have them properly named. A neat trick to put order into this sample collection, quickly (i did the hard work for you), it alsow is much easier to uplaod multiple files i this way, as describing them all would take ages. 0. 000000 30. 545306 oneshots 0130. 545306 61. 272766 oneshots 0261. 272766 92. 018435 oneshots 0392. 018435 123. 000884 oneshots 04123. 000884 153. 710113 oneshots 05153. 710113 184. 692562 oneshots 06184. 692562 244. 690340 oneshots 07244. 690340 304. 360249 oneshots 08304. 360249 309. 860952 roll short 01309. 860952 314. 924512 roll short 02314. 924512 320. 060930 roll short 03320. 060930 325. 124490 roll short 04325. 124490 330. 333787 roll short 05330. 333787 335. 506621 roll short 06335. 506621 340. 706803 roll short 07340. 706803 350. 915896 roll decelerating 01350. 915896 361. 115873 roll decelerating 02361. 115873 371. 534422 roll decelerating 03371. 534422 381. 989410 roll decelerating 04381. 989410 392. 189388 roll decelerating 05392. 189388 402. 498662 roll decelerating 06402. 498662 414. 647574 roll decelerating 07414. 647574 422. 752925 roll long 01422. 752925 430. 803628 roll long 02430. 803628 438. 854331 roll long 03438. 854331 446. 795737 roll long 04455. 101429 463. 152132 roll glide up 01463. 152132 471. 202834 roll glide up 02471. 202834 479. 326395 roll glide up 03479. 326395 487. 413537 roll glide up 04487. 413537 495. 500658 roll glide up 05495. 500658 503. 587800 roll glide down 01503. 587800 511. 565646 roll glide down 02511. 565646 519. 652766 roll glide down 03519. 652766 527. 776327 roll glide down 04527. 776327 535. 972744 roll glide down 05535. 972744 542. 019887 phrase a 01542. 019887 548. 176304 phrase a 02548. 176304 554. 296281 phrase a 03554. 296281 560. 379841 phrase a 04560. 379841 566. 463401 phrase a 05566. 463401 574. 696258 phrase a 06574. 696258 578. 666961 accent 01578. 666961 582. 819819 accent 02582. 819819 586. 899796 accent 03586. 899796 590. 761224 accent 04590. 761224 594. 768367 accent 05594. 768367 600. 997642 accent 06600. 997642 606. 316213 phrase b 01606. 316213 611. 634762 phrase b 02611. 634762 617. 026190 phrase b 03617. 026190 622. 344762 phrase b 04622. 344762 630. 431882 phrase b 05630. 431882 635. 714014 glide up 01635. 714014 640. 959728 glide up 02640. 959728 646. 387574 glide up 03646. 387574 651. 669705 glide up 04651. 669705 657. 061134 glide up 05657. 061134 662. 416122 glide up 06662. 416122 667. 698254 glide down 01667. 698254 673. 089683 glide down 02673. 089683 678. 444671 glide down 03678. 444671 683. 799660 glide down 04683. 799660 689. 045374 glide down 05689. 045374 695. 071319 glide down 06703. 454324 711. 891179 roll long 05711. 891179 720. 076735 roll long 06720. 076735 728. 540499 roll long 07728. 540499 733. 672177 wobble 01733. 672177 739. 129206 wobble 02739. 129206 744. 406735 wobble 03744. 406735 749. 731383 wobble 04749. 731383 755. 116599 wobble 05755. 116599 761. 650683 wobble 06.
