Recording of a noisy study room in a student residence. Guys speaking and laughing, noises of the surrounding ambient like people walking, opening/closing doors, going upstairs/downstairs on a iron staircase. Recorded with a zoom h4n recorder positioned some metres from the main sound source (guys who are studying). The recording was done with the authorization of present people.

I took this recording from my room in a beautiful casa on the main square in santa clara. It was warm and not windy so i could keep the windows open during the storm, and eavesdrop on this little party, which seemed to warm up as the storm did. This is an edited version of a longer clip i have also uploaded to freesound.

The main sound is the sound of someone playing a thumb-piano. There's also a gong, and two clock chimes. All of these i added reverb to and sloooowed dooooown about -81 percent. I think it sounds like the interior of a giant clock, but call it what you will. This sound is free, anyway. Made with audacity.

This is a recording of very low frequency hum of a steel mill. The sample has been low pass filtered. The main frequency is about at 25hz. The sound was recorded some distance away of the steel mill area, where it mixed with other sounds as a constant hum, which could be felt in body too at certain spots.

Found this on my computer from a year ago, i made this after reading the name of the wind and imagining the mood of the main character, kvothe, being in the middle of nowhere in autumn. This track might work well for films, if you use this track please credit me!.

The old flour mill at woodbridge in suffolk, england is powered by water from a tidal pond, which refills at every high tide. It is one of only two in the country. The sound is of the vertical wooden main drive shaft creaking in its bearings, with the mill-wheel rumbling in the background. Recorded with my sony pcm-m10.

Created for a trailer for a film. I used a grandfather clock for the main ticking of the hands but layered and added other sounds such as a heartbeat, hall kick drum with reverb and synthesis techniques. Please note: the ticking by note be in sync if you use and a countdown image i had to move the ticks to accommodate the wall clock i was working with due to the ticks where not always in time.

A sound of a metal knife and fork is the main sound and in the background we can hear the typical sound of a cafeteria with a lot of people. It was in the lunch time and the sound have high frecuencies due to the metal contact and middle-low frecuencies due to people talking.

A rumble of thunder from a storm over 50 miles away over the irish sea from an mcs during july 2016. The atmospheric conditions of that night, along with the lack of other noise allowed sounds to be heard much further than they normally would. The main reason was likely due to a strong temperature inversion close to the ground. Recorded with zoom h4n onboard mics.

This is the sound of a 98cc sachs engine of a 1938 light motorbike. It is one of the bikes in my private collection. The sounds reflect the fuel cock switching, flooding of the carburettor, sucking of the cylinder and two tries to bring the engine to life. The sound in between is the clutch lever. The engine is started by pedaling the bike on its stand. Main engine run features idle to half throttle open. The engine is eventually stopped by using the decompression lever which you can hear at the end. This is a true recording of the actual item.

A recording made in mid june of 2017 near the ohio river from the bank of rosiclare illinois. The main sound is an angry killdeer that was constantly fussing at me for being too close to her nest. Stereo recording of about 5 lads skateboarding in a small square (custard factory, birmingham uk). Sound of wheels rumbling and nice meaty thwacks as the lads jump then land. They went around the square and some movement across the stereo image is audible. There is traffic noise from a nearby main road. Some comments and talking between the lads is audible but not clearly articulated. Recorded on a zoom h2 with the built in front microphones (90 degree nominal separation). Recorded as wav, loaded into audacity for removal of handling noise at start and end only.

Some kind of tardis-esque machinery humming away, ready to project the adventurer into outer space. Would be useful as a sound effect for a video involving strange futuristic machinery. No effects have been put on it to aid this. This was created with my eurorack, the main component is a waldorf wavetable oscillator nw-1 module, put through an a-127 triple voltage controlled resonance filter and a a-188-2 tapped bdd delay. The filter and oscillator are modulated in sync by an a-145 lfo.
