A car being started. It was recorded from outside the car, standing in the garage. I believe the make is a volvo v70 but i'm not entirely sure as it is not my car. Recorded with a zoom h1.

Playing with a bike pump. Recorded wide-stereo, 24-bit in an echoey bathroom. The files has been edited to the best parts. Some degree of headphone bleed is audible in the recording. This makes a pretty good whale sound if you stretch it 500-1000 percent.

Hello here is another sound for you peeps! i made this using serum vst and messed around with the noise knobs and automation to make it sound like the wind gets more powerful.

I made this sound with my microkorg, making lfo1 and lfo2 hella fast, and made them modulate the pitch and amplitude, respectively, at full strength. The values for the frequencies i don't know, but it is fun to dive in to a synth and try to replicate the sounds that you're hearing.

I've been playing friday the 13th lately and i love the chase music on it! so i decided to make a little loop that has that getting chased feel using just a hard hitting piano! hope you like it!.

These are a series of gunshots that are supposed to resemble a laser sort of weapon, like an alien weapon. To make this, i used a filter that has a vocoder, polyvox, and talkbox, with distortion added. The initial sound i'm making is a chirping with my mouth and the filter does the rest. I think this works well on its own but it should work well mixed in with another sound effect if you choose to mix it. There is no reverb added or environment effects so its very flexible. Okay, i actually did make a rather horrorific sound, despite my slight dislike for the horror genre. I know. I contradict myself. Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.

My idea for this track is when an astronaut is exploring an alien wreckage and his base realizes there is more than just a wreckage when he asks the astronaut to get of the area. Inspired by amliebsch's "voice from hell" sound, i decided to take a crack at making something similar. This was made with my own voice. If you want to know what it's saying, it's:. Single note sampled from a deckard's dream diy analogue synthesizer that i built myself. Deckard's dream (ddrm) is an 8-voice analogue synthesizer designed by black corporation and inspired in the classic yamaha cs-80. The ddrm (and cs-80) is all about live performance and expressiveness via aftertouch and modulations. Therefore, sampling the notes like i did here does not make much sense and by no means makes justice to the real thing. Nevertheless, i thought it could still be useful and would be nice to share. I wanted to record the sound of a keyring - or rather the keys strapped to it - make while in mid-air. There are the keys audible, recorded hitting the stack of hay (soft landing) and air blowign into the mics while the recordied has high velocity. I was throwing my recorer with my left hand, while simultaneously throwing my keyring with my right hand. The throw was vertical and the landing zone was a pile of hay. I thing there are some interesting sound here, i'm uploading it unedited to make it possible to cut out whatever you like. Recorded with a flying zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.

My fifth attempt at a glitch style loop. In order to make the samples used here - most of which are only hundredths of a second long - i took samples from the amen kit, then switch the format from >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< into >adpcm 11. 025 khz, 4 bit, stereo< then back to >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< again. I found that if you do this with a sample under 00. 35 seconds long, you get an almost random glitch sound, about. 04 seconds long, that barely sounds like the original sound. I just figured this out, but i'll make note of it; i like some of the effects.

I made a saw wave and put some flanger and paulstretch effects to it on audacity and made this synth-like saw wave inspired by the saw wave sample from the ps1 startup sound. My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. Composite several recordings of large coins (silver dollars, ike dollars, 50 cent pieces) dropped on a carpet from about 25cm. The aim was to make it sound like lots of money was falling out of a secret compartment - much like a slot machine.

I generated a square tone with audacity and applied a few effects to it, mostly wahwah i think, and faded in and out. It's the same as "machine. Wav" that i've uploaded, but louder. If you repeat it, it makes a very believable sound for an old video game machine.

The sounds from an old elevator. First going up, the door opening, and it returning back down before the door opens again. This elevator is fairly old (from the 1960s) and is fairly dilapidated. Scary to ride, especially after you hear the sounds it makes.
