Some audio file i had while making music.

Cicadas recorded from my balcony in a melbourne suburb at night. Cyclochila australasiae, the sound they make is around 4. 3khz. Recording was done with a roland r-26 using built in omni mics, and noise was removed with izotope plugins.

I like rolling my tobacco, so i thought "why not use my roller to make a sound effect?". I gently opened the lid infront of the mic. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.

The final step before you make it into the duty free section. This is a recording of my hand luggage being screened at perth airport in december, 2019. The recording was done using a tascam dr-05x.

I forked unfa's freesound #243170 then i modified it in wavepad. To make the effect, i cut out the one part then fade out. Sounds like that one sound when the power has been cut in fhfif remix.

A deep, windy loop that sounds like nothing in particular, but makes you feel uneasy. Could be used to establish a feeling of anxiety or fear.

I recorded myself singing in the tunnel that connects the buildings on the minnesota state capitol complex. This is the first measure of music in the kyrie mass in g minor, which is usually sang by a chorus in a cathedral environment. The tunnel makes it sound exactly like i'm singing in a church.

My fifth attempt at a glitch style loop. In order to make the samples used here - most of which are only hundredths of a second long - i took samples from the amen kit, then switch the format from >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< into >adpcm 11. 025 khz, 4 bit, stereo< then back to >pcm 22. 050 khz, 8 bit, mono< again. I found that if you do this with a sample under 00. 35 seconds long, you get an almost random glitch sound, about. 04 seconds long, that barely sounds like the original sound. I just figured this out, but i'll make note of it; i like some of the effects.

My headphones started to screw themselves over while i was going for a walk with them and it started pouring in the middle of my walk. Which made my headphones pretty much unusable and it seemed to make this strange static noise even when turned off. It was actually kinda creepy but i did realise that this would make for a good sound for a videogame or movie that needs static of some kind. It's just too bad my headphones don't work anymore. I made a saw wave and put some flanger and paulstretch effects to it on audacity and made this synth-like saw wave inspired by the saw wave sample from the ps1 startup sound. If you want to put a loop to this sound, it's 67109 to 84907 on openmpt. Do whatever you want with this (like sounds or music) and credit me if you want as pk superstar256 (in a fan project) or ismo-kun games (in a commercial project). I wanted to record the sound of a keyring - or rather the keys strapped to it - make while in mid-air. There are the keys audible, recorded hitting the stack of hay (soft landing) and air blowign into the mics while the recordied has high velocity. I was throwing my recorer with my left hand, while simultaneously throwing my keyring with my right hand. The throw was vertical and the landing zone was a pile of hay. I thing there are some interesting sound here, i'm uploading it unedited to make it possible to cut out whatever you like. Recorded with a flying zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.

Something i threw together for a personal project i was working on. I couldn't find any high quality samples of a dragon so i decided to make my own. This was created using ableton and contains the following sounds:a dog growlinga lion roara horse gruntingan elephant vocalisinga flamethrower sound. All sounds used were obtained from royalty free websites and manipulated using software so that the original samples are not identifiable. The combining, layering and processing of the sounds were all done by myself within my daw. I hope those of you who find this are able to make great use of it. Since i have recently found and love this site, i figure it's about time i upload something. I have been making some meditation and relaxing music and made this thing! this was made on ableton with an instrument rack. It's a basic chord progression with a drone note. This was created with sampled percussion from the keyboard in adobe audition cs6 and recorded via logitech webcam mic. The sound was further de-noised and cleaned in audition's spectral view and effects applied to make the arrangement work. Hopefully this will prove useful to some.

My desktop pc's front audio out sometimes (depending on the wifi connection) makes various sounds, which i tried to record. . . Not sure i was successful. :).

A real series of gastrointestinal sounds - very funny. Robots converse about the sounds and one of the robots make a funny comment about another one. Contains real human laughter and a real human scream placed in a specific way in the sound wave to add a funny effect.

Simple drone sound, created by using ableton's operator plus some granulator and effects. It can be used as a subtle background noise to make your scene tenser or etc. You get itexperiment with volume automation.

Formatted for the make noise morphagene. This reel consists of a spliced breakbeat. The final splice is the whole loop without any splices. Trashy drum kit, recorded by me, re-sequenced with elektron octatrack and played through a crappy speaker.

My toaster oven's door makes this screeching sound whenever it gets hot. Pretty harsh and could be good for horror sound design. Recorded with a zoom h4n.

A very basic click. I'm not even intirely sure where i sampled it from. The only potentially problematic thing i could see is the slightly off left/right balance. Makes a cool noise when you loop it too.

A large pane of mirror glass sitting across two sawhorses is drummed on, making a surprisingly big resonant drum sound. At about 0:18 the inevitable happens: several extra smashing and shattering sounds are audible after the initial break.

This is an acid loop i made with free vsti called rubber duck. I run it through various lfo type filters. I've tweaked it to make it a perfectly looping one shot hit at 112 bpm.

Recorded on my iphone for a project, me hitting a shelf with trinkets on it that makes a loud thud and a rattle. Good for body impacts on furniture. Hard hit, good body and nice light rattle after.

Tapping large water bottles (metal) against a leg to hear them make melodic sounds. You can hear the slosh of the water inside and the resonant tone. Noise reduction and amplification were applied to this sound using reaper.

A pencil writing on some cardboard. Makes a good scratching sound for something like note taking or plain writing. It's semi-erratic with a couple pauses in between and i took different distances from the mic and angles with the pencil to try and get different sounds.

I mixed, slowed down, and sped up different small chunks of an audio file of a glitch noise, making something that sounds like a receipt printer at costco/walmart/freshco/any other big store chain.

3 year old child playing a metallophone, a homemade percussion instrument consisting of tuned metal bars which are struck with a mallet to make sound, fixes to a wooden box which works as a resonating device.
