Chefchaouen, a small town perched in morocco's rif mountains, is made up of cobbled, windy streets. These lanes are too narrow to accommodate cars, which results in very unique soundscapes. While you might hear children during the day, at night you hear men standing around, selling their wares, and chatting. This recording is from february, 2020, using a tascam dr-05x.

Not just any thunder this! this is the spanish variety and anyone who has been around a spanish thunderstorm will know what i mean. This field recording was made from my villa and this is both rural and situated between two mountain ranges. So, you've got the thunder, the acoustics, the sound of the rain and the birds in the nearby trees. If you listen closely enough then you might hear the sound of the breeze through the palm trees.
