410 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Mountain"

Ambient recording of the 2nd exhibition level of the "museum der bildenden künste" (museum of art) in leipzig/germany. Voices can be heard in the far distance, along with the rythmic ticking of the hydraulically powered art-installation "heart of a mountain". This file is part of the sample-pack "muzeum"recording was conducted with a zoom h2 with the internal mics set to 90° dispersion.

H4zoom recodered (place: quebrada de here, toconao, andes mountain on north of chile) processed with sound studio (normalize to 0db). I work in documentary and fiction films in chile. These small sound clips i made while accompanying friends to make hands-free climbing on a small creek near toconao south of san pedro de atacama. They like to play drums to quench anxiety. Was in october 2012.

A door is trying to keep itself closed with a strong wind (very fast thanks to the mountain). You can notice the cracks: it's old, more than 30 years old. I left a wall clock running by mistake, but i think it can't be noticed. If you do and don't want it, i have another recording with it stopped (same name, number 2). Recorded with a zoom h4n. Surround recording of a hiking track in the biokovo mountain national park in croatia. Good, clean mediterranian summer-atmo, ideal for motion-picture or broadcast work. It is noon, very hot and sunny and millions of crickets are chirping. In the distance, some goat-bells can be heard, otherwise the place is deserted. Recorded with a zoom h2. This file contains the rear channels, recorded with 120° dispersion.

Most of this recording is of insects in a special field of native wildflowers at a dog-park on south mountain reservation in new jersey. Near the beginning of the recording, you can hear, in the distance, a dog at the dog park yelping in pain very loudly, perhaps after receiving a bite from another dog. The rest of the recording is pure ambience, except for a plane (newark airport isn't far off). ---two primo em172 capsules -> zoom h1.

Technically the original sound was not a switch, it was a rain-proof cover on a power outlet. Recorded on 20. 05. 2020 on schneealpe in styria, austria. Its funny - and a bit scary - that one can see the exact crevice the recording took place from a satellite. There was a bit of snow left from winter but rapidly melting. Drops fall from 30 cm to the rock below in different rhythms. Recorded with 2 km184 ab ~40cm apart into sounddevices 744. Unfortunately i had no proper windscreen and so there is quite some rumble up to 120hz. The rumble can be filtered out easily, but i left the recording as is (i normalized and converted from 96k to 48k in audacity).

I was awakened at about 3 am by a local thunderstorm. It was raining softly and lightning came regularly. I recorded over 4 minutes of it from my front porch using an iphone and added recording app, and nothing else. This file is unmodified. A young backpacker is walking along a country road but is kidnapped and bound. When caged, he comes to the realization that his mountain-dwelling captors are practicing cannibals. After escaping his bonds and getting out of the makeshift cage, he silently slips from the campsite into the hills, and after picking his way around rocks and waterfalls and through miles of forest, he is hopelessly lost. He sits and rests, then, alone in darkness and a summer thunderstorm. All he has other than the clothes on his back is a folding pocket knife. When you make it and it wins at cannes, let me know.

Jaroslav Jezek was born in Prague 1906 and studied at the Prague Conservatory, graduating in 1927. He studied music during the period of the new freedom with its' influence of American jazz and dance on Czech composers which can certainly be seen in Jezek's works. From '28-38, Jezek composed music for 20 plays and revues performed at the Liberated Theater where absurdities of the times-moral hypocrisy, the mistakes of democracies and the inanities of totalitarianism-especially of the Nazis, were humorously skewered. He composed waltzes, tangos, charlestons, rhumbas, and jazz for his admiring Czech audiences. During WWII he moved to New York, possibly because his past criticisms of the Nazi Party would have landed him in prison. He continued to compose there in 1939-41. He died in New York in 1942. The Bugatti Step was written to commemorate Czech racing car driver Eliska Junkova's 2nd place finish in a Swiss mountain race in '27 in her huge Bugatti touring car, seen at 2:08 in this vid.
