Footsteps in the snow after a recent snowfall in january 2018. About a minute of walking in the snow with boots. This is the original m4a file, there is a converted mp3 file available that is the same recording with a different format if you don't want to mess around with conversions.

Recorded with two røde nt3 at about 2 meters from the window. Used a software eq to remove -20db at around 80k, to remove small bass "thumps", other than that it's unprocessed. 256kbps mp3.

Because it's recorded in april (before air conditioning required), early in the morning (no background traffic), there's not much urban background hum. Blending a smoothie. Blender goes on and off a couple of times to help churn frozen strawberries. During the blending, there is the sound of a spoon tapping on the pitcher. Recorded one wonderful morning at the shores of lake issyk kul, kyrgyzstan. Three hours from its capital bishkek,the lake with its little bit salty water and the mountainous landscape is a wonderful place to rest and relax. If you're under 25 then you might hear a rather nasty high pitched siren sound. . . Terrible quality (mp3) recording but interesting to know just how much sound isn't heard. This is a recording of two gretsch catalina maple floor toms, one 14 inches in diameter, one 16 inches. I replaced the original tom feet with pearl air suspension feet, which gave a huge improvement in tone, resonance and sustain. Recorded with a sony ecm-ds70p stereo recording microphone into an iriver h340 mp3 player. Normalized in sony sound forge.

This is another loop i made with some software i'm cooking up for unity (to allow users to make short loops like this and embed them in their games without necessarily rendering them to wav/mp3's first). Recording of rain in a small town with some thunder, cars and birds. Plane passing by in the sky. Recorded with sound devices mix-pre-6 ii and two mxl 603s mogami custom mics in din stereo. Recorded in 192khz/32bit. Post editing with rx8: low/high cut with eq to reduce rumble and noise, also gain increased and cut to length. Converted to 320kbps/cbr mp3.

Opening a sliding door to a lot of chatty morning birds. You can hear a some fire truck sirens far in the background. After a few minutes, door is closed, i let you hear the difference, and we’re done. Recorded with a tascam dr-05 at about 5 am. Converted to mp3 with command “lame --preset extreme” since it’s rather huge. Not normalized; lame reports a playback gain of +21 db.

Fire alarm as used in sunderland royal hospital. This damn thing was tested over a dozen times, whilst i was sitting in the urology department waiting to have the p***taken out of me. I happened to be testing the voice recording capabilities of my sansa clip zip mp3 player, at the time. I'll think you'll agree this is exceptional quality for such a tiny microphone and only minimal background noise removal.

Recording of clothes in the dry cleaner for a bit longer than one hour. I recorded this in order to use for my newborn to be able to fall asleep as white noise sound. Works pretty fine because of the repetition;at the end of the recording, the machine stops and restarts a few times for a few short cycles. Recorded with zoom h4n in mp3 format. Reduced background noise in audition. Exported to ogg because of large file size.

A friend sent me an audio file that wasn't supported by windows media player. When opened in audacity, this is what it came out to be (but it was way louder. ) once i converted the original file into mp3, i was able to get the actual file, but i wanted to save this broken one too. The original file was her doing a vocal audition for me, so i posted the broken audio in wav form so no one could take it.

This was recorded in a small, underground brick wine cellar during a wine-tasting event in europe. While the language spoken in the clip is slovak, it's impossible to pick out any indivdiual conversations, so this could be used as background noise in any project. Multiple gunshots recorded at an indoor gun range. Many of the shots are from an ak47, including single shots and full auto. There is some background noise, but there are some good clear shots in there that can be easily cut out and used. 320kbps mp3 version. Recording of a heavy, impressive storm which passed over bristol on 23rd july 2013. One loud, underwear-browning thunder clap at the beginning, followed by 30-40 minutes of thunder rolling away in the distance. It's effective as a sleep aid, but don't loop its playback because the initial thunder clap will tear you from your dreams. Available under a creative commons 0 licence. Recording a storm while i sleep doesn't constitute the kind of creative labour that fills me with a sense of ownership. Enjoy the recording and use it as you wish.

Listening to nightingales & other sleepy birds in the evening. . . You can hear my baby rook taki squak at the very end, cause he was getting restless & wanted to go home to sleep for the night. You can hear nightingales, warblers and thrushes all around. This was recorded using my crappy, old mp3 player in the countryside of henfield, near brighton, england, on the 31st of may 2010. I often play it & other recordings i made around there for my birds in the evening, as a kind of nature lullaby. ^-^.

nonlinearcircuits jerkoff chaos circuit is based on sprott's chaotic jerk equation. This sound is long and boring. . . But i wanted to test the nlc jerkoff. This might be of interest to someone. . . I upload an mp3 file to save disc space. . . The single module has 3 outs. 2 of them are controlling vcaa and one is connected to an envelope follower that generates a trigger when the cv is high enough. The signals in to the vca are the same (1. 5v). A way to illustrate the work of the module. Maybe.
