Hitting radiator with fingers and scrapping over with a metallic object (car-key). When amplify the quiet content, some interesting sound can be worked out. Recorded with a ultra cheap microphone unit of my mp3 player. Reduced noise.

This is only a recording of me playing a djembe, recorded with a pair of nt1-a mics, but after messing around with some of logic's amp and resonator effects i ended up with this. The 6/8 groove reminded me of the doctor-who theme, and the interval displacement of a minor 6th i thought sounded pretty cool. You don't have to credit me, but if you use my sound i'd love to hear what you come up with!.

Gas boiler in my kitchen starts up, you can hear the piezo ignition inflaming the gas and the subsequent burning gas. This version is processed (compressor, eq). Recording by a zoom h2n.

A droning science fiction or haunting horror spooky droning sound with a wahwah fading in and out several times. Great for halloween. Recorded on a samsung galaxy s3 (processed in audacity).

A rhythmically vocoded synth chord progression.

Processed foley recorded on an early 90s handheld recorder, recorded via line in and processed with reverb, delay and slight eqing. It made for some pretty weird and cool effects.

(edit of other recording, with eq, reverb etc. ) recorded inside of an abandoned building next to a boarded-up, old wooden exit door. Has a nice, subtle low hum, which is actually from a plane flying overhead. Also contains knocking sounds, which is most likely the door being a bit loose. Would be awesome for horror atmospheres. Feel free to use this sound for what ever you wish to. Credit is appreciated but not needed. Let me know what you use this sound for!.

Stereo recording of general atmosphere in oil processing section in automotive factory.

I really enjoyed exetone studio's recording of a bell found here - https://freesound. Org/people/exotonestudio/sounds/416992/. I took this sample into melodyne and moved all of its frequencies into "c" range. This gets rid of harmonics and makes the sample well-suited to use as a musical instrument. I prefer the original sample for some purposes. Unprocessed, it has a richer sound. And i also truncated to get rid of a tricky bit i couldn't fix. And i combined stereo tracks into mono, since that works better for an instrument where one wants to control panning inside of a composition. So as a pure sound effect, i recommend the original. This version is just useful as an instrument.
