I made a simple alarm sound on logic pro x by layering 2 alarm sounds on top of each other to give a more realistic panic alarm sound. Thought i'd share it with the community as i found it really useful in some of my videos.

Soundscape of an enfolding air raid on a doomed city, period around world war ii, from some distance from the city itself. In the onset, the listener stands on a windy heath, and hears the air-raid sirens in the distance. Then come the bombers (propeller planes!), supposedly lancasters or so, passing overhead toward their target. . . I did this for a tv documentary, however i kept all rights and, as usual, you may use it free of charge and attribution. Enjoy.

Tried to emulate sound of a large motor starting. This sound is actually from an air raid siren. Reminds me of some transit bus but also sounds like some electric motor.

This sounds like an old mississauga transit (mi-way) bus engine starting, running for a short time, then slowing down. The sound was made by simply playing the sound of air raid siren backwards.

User name fmagrao's sound 80761__fmagrao__siren was stretched, put in a sampler and played as described but of varying duration and it would appear that there is an optimum frequency range for these sirens. I will create a lower frequency version in due course and a foghorn/siren hybrid. This was recorded on july 4th, 2013 in enumclaw, wa. I was not expecting the bomber to fly over and it was a tribute to one of the last surviving members (edward saylor) of the doolittle raid on tokyo on april 18th, 1942. He was in the parade too. I can just imagine the sound of hundreds flying over in ww2. There is a bit of distortion as the plane flew directly overhead. Please comment on what you will use it for. :^).
