This was recorded inside the blue mosque in istanbul during friday prayer in may 2005. To get in to the blue mosque with recording equipment we had to get a permission from the religious authorities. We also needed a muslim to operate the equipment since the friday prayers were forbidden for non-muslims. We set up the recording equipment and let our turkish guide hit the record button once the prayer started. The sound is recorded using an m/s rig straight to dat and processed afterwards with a hp filter in protools to remove microphone rumble. An early spring bird-recording trip turned into a surprise, steady rain. (*actually, it should not have been a surprise, i just was too lazy to check the weather before i went out exploring nature!). I set up my zoom h4n recorder partially under a picnic table and recorded this wonderful, peaceful light rain falling in a small field of very large white pines, which were growing on a penninsula of a small lake. Every now and then you will hear a bird singing out. Again, recorded using my handy zoom h4n recorder with the built-in stereo microphones. Enjoy. Kevin.

After returning from a trip to korea, timeshift does not let me sleep. This recording of a thrush nightingale took place at 4 a. M. It was made in my garden in berlin. I took a field recording on my back yard in a summer day. You can hear kids playing and laughing in the background. You can also hear birds, leaves moved by wind, a plane passing by and some cars in the far end. Recorded with zoom h4 sound recorder and senhheiser k6 me65 microphone.

Another recording of one of my favorite fall soundscapes featuring cottonwood leaves "shimmering", the lonely call of a blue jay and the soft sound of insects singing a little more quiet than they do in the warmer temps of summer. Test recording using pair of nt55 omni mics mounted end to end (using modified female-to-female xlr coupler) in a blimp. Recording on quiet but breezy day in norfolk village garden: sounds of birds etc. And, towards the end, a car going past. Recorded via sound devices mixpre-d and tascam dr70d. No processing except normalising.

This is a recording of a very old typewriter. I had a digital audio recorder that records 96/32 wav files onto an sd card. I took the recording inside an antique shop of a classic typewriter for sale, used some noise reduction on it, and added some dither. Here you go. Use it for any project you may have.

This sound was recorded in april 2021 in a beach of monterosso, beatiful place very well know, (it is one of the "5 terre"). You will hear the unmistakable sound of the beach, when the waves comes and goes. It recorded with a zoom h1n (96khz /24bit). Recorded in a sunny morning. The sound was no post-processed.

I use dreamtalk recorder for recording funny things i say in sleep, but sometimes it will pick up other sounds, it picked this horn up outside my window. Reason i added yellow as a tag is because i have synesthesia and a horn is the colour yellow.

My recording "fizzy water" is much better than this version. Please use it, not this one. I made a video recording of a glass of carbonated water in a tall glass, using an ipad. Then i played it back and recorded it using a zoom h2 stereo recorder. So it got processed through the different media. It produces a nice fizzy sound that some people will find useful.

This recording was made near a large windturbine, which is located right next to a highway. I am not a professional audio producer. I sometimes make recordings with a zoom h5 recorder. After many years of downloading and using sounds of other people i want to contribute something myself. Maybe this will be useful for someone.
