A simple sine wave beep running through soft saturation and modulation, then being exported deliberately at 8khz and 8bit to simulate the low quality of a phone call. Use this as a standard beep sound coming through a phone speaker. The latter half is a little faster to enable a simulation of hanging up or the call being rejected.

Could not find the automated voicemail message i seem to hear constantly so i decided to plug my phone into the tascam and record the message myself. In an antique store in laconner, washington i saw a old black desk rotary dial telephone. I dialed the numbers 1 through 0 and recorded them on my cell phone. It's a fairly clear recording and different from the other rotary dial sounds here. I rolled off the low end a bit to get rid of some ambient noise in the store.

I used 3 instances of the builtin synth subtractive, 1 was for the body of the snare the other 2 were the noise to try and replicate the wires of the snare, finally i used zynaddsubfx to create the transient. There was some eq applied to boost key frequencies in around 200hz and mastermix plugin to compress the audio.

Bell tower of the basilica of the national shrine of the immaculate conception. Recorded on the catholic university of america campus with a zoom h2 in four channel surround mode. The front mikes faced the basilica. The rear mikes were fairly close to a building and captured an off axis recording of the original peals while the reflection off the building was on axis and is louder than the original peal. The doorbell in my apartment is so loud and obnoxious i decided to share my pain with the rest of the world, lol. In all seriousness, hopefully someone finds it useful for their production. The first sample is the purest, with the last two i *attempted* some dampening, but the difference is really inaudible. Recorded with zoom h6 (xy capsule), minimal processing done (loudness normalization, slight panning rebalance, hi-pass @ 40hz).

Some generative wildfire sfx made with sunvox. The crackling sounds were made by taking some highpassed white noise, ring modulating it with some more white noise, and then using a noise gate to usilate the loudest 'crackles'. The rumbling was created using lowpassed white noise, and the wind was made by bandpassing white noise with a high resonance and randomly sliding the filter frequency. Everything was sent into a reverb and a stereo expander.

There was some sort of running event going on, so you can hear the footsteps of lots of runners and the crowds cheering them on. I use a screenreader, nvda. I decided to set it to the eti eloquence speech synthesizer and put the voice on the french voice. I then set the inflection to 50 and typed the letters "r" and "h" over and over to make it sound funny when it tries to read it. The first part is the normal voice, the second part i applied ring modulation with lots of lfo effect.
