A recording of ringing a bicycle bell, slowed by 64%. Production stages- first of all we recorded the sound of a bicycle bell, then i imported it to audacity. I cut the beginning as well as the end, adding a constant gain at the beginning and a constant fade at the end so that the sound would be even more harmonic. Then i slightly compressed the sound, and normalized it. Then i used a “noise reduction” in order to get rid of the sound in the background and a slight equalizer. The clip was created using a synsonics "terminator" guitar with a built-in amp by running the output to my sound card and sound card's output going into to a secondary jack intended for headphones on the guitar. It created an interesting metallic noise, almost like a ring mod. . . There is a segment where i was poking the guitar's amp circuit board with my fingers which creates lots of grumbling/squelchy noises. . . The guitar is kind of crappy, but it makes a pretty neat noise synth! :b.

I used goldwave's mechanize feature at 10000khz, then applied low pass filter at 10000 khz to filter out the newly created upper sideband, then i used mechanize again at 9000 khz, which tuned in the recording just like if i had a tuneable receiver.

I decided to go out for the night so i thought it would be a good idea to have my sound recorder going for around 3 minutes. My ac turned on a little after. I caught a few things like fire truck sirens, and some sort of ear ringing sound. Not sure where that came from but it happened. Postprocessed to normalized 16/44. 1 stereo pcm with cooledit 2000, flac-encoded. An electric light rail train approaches i-25 & broadway station while ringing its bell in rhythm. It stops. Doors open, an announcement plays, doors close, and the train departs.

Plucking the rim of an empty wine glass with my finger. Recorded a bunch of samples then isolated the ones i liked into this file. Left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. While all the samples were initially recorded at 16-bit 44100hz, some of the later ones compiled into this wav were accidentally saved at 8-bit and have gathered some noise as a result. All samples recorded using a blue yeti microphone. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. Attribution appreciated but not required.

Main street in tourist costal city of dziwnówek in west poland. It's typical for cities like that: full of cheesy market stands. The game of coin-football, which you can hear ringing constantly in the background is also characteristic for polish coastal tourist areas. Many people (talking mostly polish language), and several cars are passing by. I am standing on pavement, and have thestreet in front of me and backside of supermarket behind me. The sound was recorded with zoom h3vr (ambix format).

This is a remix of oceas 8th loop at 130bpm, the samples in this pack were made mostly by running the original loop through a custom plugin i made with synthedit. The general idea of the plugin is to seperate the incoming audio into 8 seperate channels using high-resonance bandpass filters, then run each of the 8 channels through its own special effect including reverb, delay, harmonic generation, ring modulation, modulation of the original signal by the harmonic generation signal out, and another reverb.

This is the sound of the short part of guitar strings plucked over the headstock, between the nut and tuning pegs. It uses a real bell for ringing and of course it can only do pulse dialing. This was recorded with a single røde nt5 microphone via a behringer ddx3216 digital console into ardour. The artistic idea was to use background noises, signal fidelity, harmonic distortion, low-frequency in order to foster a soundscape of infrasound that travels through space. The recording was conducted close range at street level directly at the intersection by a tram line, the rear mics, featured in this file, are pointing onto the sidewalk, away from the street, at a right angle.
