What effects the color of the wave here on freesound? i could ask, but here is a little test. Part 1 - a (about) 60hz tone going from sinus to triangle (vcv-rack vco-2)part 2 - same tone. Sinus wave. An accelerating vibrato. Part 3 - now 2 tones. Same 60hz sinus tone plus another sinus tone slowly increasing in frequency creating beating effects. The second, rising, vco has a lower amplitude. All three part has the same peak amplitude (-4db)#colortest.

Rauhigkeit 1 Apser = Sinus 1000 Hz und Sinus 1070 Hz gleichzeitig. The sound of a harshness of 1 asper = a sine wave tone of 1000 Hz 100 % modulated with a sine wave tone of 70 Hz at 60 dB sound pressure.

Aha! the wave form effects the wave color! here is a 60hz tone playing alternatly sinus and triangle wave. In this test im using vco-1. #colortest.

Testing/documenting my bartonmusicalcircuits (bmc21) full wave dual rectifier. "this is an all analog synthesizer module used to alter the timbre and create new harmonic content. " using the fact that it's a dual. 2 sinus waves through both of the rectifiers, through a filter and a little spring reverb.

Bass with variations made on modular synth. The original wave is a sin-wave. . . I think number six i my favorite. Number ten is quite funky too.

Today i'm supposed to play with my modular, or anything. As long as i'm not disturb the boys watching gremlins down stairs. . . Okay. I put some modules out for sale. Made this. The sound is generated by self oscillating vcfs. I love sinus wave. I will sell my triple oscillator now. It does not have sinus wave! the randomness is generated to old fashion way. I don't have any fancy random trigger modules. Bla bla bla. . . I stop there.

Testing/documening my nonlinearcircuits timbre!. "this is basically a clone of the buchla timbre found in the easel. ". Sound:1. Sine wave not going throught wave folder2. Sine wave though wave folder3. Triangle though wave folder4. Square through wave folder5. Saw through wave folder. An lfo is modulating the bias. No, when going through the folder the there is never a sinus wave. . . Next time. . . Also it is a matter of calibration. I should check it out.

I use a voltage controlled lfo (vclfo) for this experiment. When i send a trigger to the lfo it resets and start over again. In this example i'm using a sinus wave output. I send the output, the sinus wave, to1 - a sample and hold (s/h) module2 - a quantizer3 - straight to vco. The s/h and the quantizer are triggered at the same time. Even an envelope a generated with the same trigger. All three sounds are controlled by this envelope. First out we have s/h (left)second straight to vco (right)third the quantized (center). As usual its fun to take a real close look at the wave!.

Same patch as in electronic minute no 226 but on my real modular. I'm using a wave folder. Thats why i call this version additive. I'm adding timbre to a sinus wave. I will do an subtractive version next.

Modular synth patch with 2 voices (vcos). One sinus wave and one triangle wave. Max reverb (hall) on my ladik d-330. Output to reverb is mono. Observe how the output from the reverb makes affects the channels. Meanless and bizarre video on https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=daymdm8vrz0.

I want you to compare this sound with:"electronic minute no 18 - vcv rack sqr sequencing"https://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/413520/in this sound, no 19, i use my modular synth. The sound is not as clean as in the virtual one. To some extent i blame my method of recording. . . Different oscillators sound different. Here i use a self oscillating filter. That produces a clean sinus wave. The cleanest sinus in my rack. But i guess the real thing is not perfect and that is what you are hearing? in neither of the patches i use a quantizer. . . (that's art :-)and, i almost forgot, i use a cheap analog delay pedal. Noisy. . .

I made the vcf self-oscillate at a frequency of ca 270hz then i connected a sinus wave vco to cv1 and swept all the frequencies.

Self modulating a standard doepfer a-110 vco. We are listening to a square wave. I'm modulating with a sinus. I'm wiggling pwm and the degree of self modulation (and attack and decay). Spring reverb and analog delay from stomp box.

Low pitch bass drum. I've recorded some cutoff and resonance on a basic sine wave kick drum patch i created with strobe2 synth. You don't have to provide attribution or anything, but please let me know how you like my sounds here or via twitter @tailorvj.

I wanted to make a very gentle wakeup alarm for my android phone. It's a 25-minute long fade in of a pure 3-khz tone. Created with audacity. I encoded this to ogg vorbis for personal use, but i'm sure you can do this better for yourself (maybe you'll prefer other format), so here you have a quality flac file for source.

Yes! så nöjd att detta ljud hände, typ! let me take this info in swedish, okay. Buchla style slow krell. . . Google translate :-)buchla style slow krell. A modulating osc and one that is modulated, but you can hear both in the mix! ena osc goes via a lpg the other via vca / mix. To the "creepy" sound i use a pip slope modulated by jerkoff and sloth. The sound source is a sine that goes through a quietly modulated wave shaper. An envelope follower plus sloth gives a trg to an s / h sometimes and then the tone changes. The cry sound also goes to my analogue delay. The tone is also liiite modulated by an env. Pretty west coast and buchla. . .
