A stereo wav recording from a zoom h1n during a thunderstorm today. One siren picks up followed by several more producing a convincing stereo image. I have done a basic bass roll-off, but have left it otherwise untouched. If you have a spectral editor you can probably clean out more of the noise, but i couldn't do so and keep the sirens sounding good.
User name fmagrao's sound 80761__fmagrao__siren was stretched, put in a sampler and played as described but of varying duration and it would appear that there is an optimum frequency range for these sirens. I will create a lower frequency version in due course and a foghorn/siren hybrid. Ambience in the park of schloss eggenberg. Standing at the small lake, the sound of crows digging in the grass, many different birds, ducks landing on water, a siren and even a peacock can be heard. A bell of a church and people in the background can also be heard.

September 19, 2020 shenzhen, china tested the air raid system. Sorry for the background noise. I was standing on a city street on a rainy day and the cars made a lot of noise driving through the wet streets. I'm not sure if they do this test every year but i do remember they did it last year. I'm also not sure if this is province wide (guangdong) or maybe even country wide. The government let us know about a week earlier that they would do the test. If they let me know one day or even better one hour before the test, i may have been able to get to a quieter area for a better recording. There were some tests earlier with longer tones but my recording had even more background noise and this was the best one.
