Time to give something back. Drilling right in front of my house. Because internet cable was broken. Used the opportunity to mic it up. Recording made from inside. Drilling is about 5m away with a wall in between. You can hear my son about halfway through way in the background. But thought i wouldn't cut up the sample. Recording using 2 x gefell m930 in ortf stereo. No processing. Use freely. Would appreciate attribution if you use it, but not mandatory.

An interesting sound from a house we were staying at. The outdoor exhaust for the clothes dryer made this jet like noise, particularly when the microphone was moved around it. There are some bird and mower noises in the background, but this really just wants to be the basis for some cool sound design jets, whooshes, turbines, etc. Play with it and make something cool. Recorded with a zoom h1n, 24-bit, 48khz, stereo. Cleaned up a bit in izotope rx.

This was recorded from my windowsill facing onto a tarmac driveway in august 2012. There is the occasional tinkling sound of raindrops hitting a metal gate, some traffic noise, the occasional bit of thunder, and some shouts of people getting wet. At the end, raindrops start falling onto the recorder. This is fairly heavy rain by oxford standards; we probably get something like this only a couple of times a year. This fall turned into hail a bit later. Recorded with a marantz pmd661.

24 bit sample, direct to sound card, volume adjusted to remove peaks. . . Sound is a long recording of static and crackling noises with random notes and music from a circuit bent musini toy. I honestly don't know if the static sound (activated with two body contacts) is classified as "white" or "pink" noise, but i really like the sound of it! a plethora of crunchy, crispy, noisy snippets to transform into a drum kit or something like that!.

Every saturday morning workers roll the large garbage bin down the driveway at our apartment and dump it into the garbage truck. Usually it's an annoyance, because they come early, but today i decided to record it. I think they thought i was recording them to complain or something, but i told them it was just for my sound effects collection. Recorded with: sanken cs-1e, fostex fr2le.

A diesel train flushing out the condensation from a particular valve, as i am told. Sounds like electricity sparking or something. It was quite loud, my gain was set extremely low, enough that i didn't pick up any of the road traffic with cars passing a few feet behind me. So this is actually a heavily edited sound of me making a weird mouth noise. It sounds like it oddly fits a video game jump, or just something game-ish perhaps. Raw audio of me typing on my old perkins brailler, this time with a sheet of paper in it. I believe something was wobbling around the desk and i couldn't get rid of that noise with audacity, however it isn't all that unnatural for an object to be vibrating or wobbling when someone is typing on a heavy brailler like this. Recorded with a zoom h1n.

Ambience recorded at a wine tasting evening, around 15 people to begin with, increasing to about 20 in total towards the end. Recorded using a single akg c451, run through an sqn 4s mini, into a tascam dr680d. Sorry it's not nice and stereo, but it was just recorded after an interview to give us something to work with in post. Might be panned hard left, too. Uploaded raw, thought it might be useful for someone!.

echoes from an age of misery is made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. I wanted something massive and huge sounding with a certain groove and swag to it. But instead of going straight to the fat bass / big drums-part i made a quiet little intro before it kicks off. I made the drums with both sampled drums and a drum-machine to make it big. And i use 3 different basses. For a little extra spice i put some strings and stuff on it. Would fit anything big, dramatic and scary!!!. Could be perfect for an intro, outro, something spooky and cool, mysterious or whatever you feel like. . . . Let the imagination run wild. A patch generating triggers not that random. . . The triggers are triggering an envelope generator and a sample and hold. The sample and hold cv is quantized following a minor 7th chord rules. Hope you understand. . . Pardon my english. Why this. Answer. I have to start adding something like this to my patches. But i use 3 lfos for this :-/ thats about all i got - right now. The alm pip slope works fine as an lfo too. Square wave this time. Take a close look.

I was just messing around in audacity, like i usually do all the time. I made a corrupt audio file, and i found this extremely weird sound. I got rid of all the white noise, which made it sound even weirder, then i slowed it down and got this sound. You can use this however you want. This is audio i recorded of my husband using his ten year old decrepit constant positive air pressure sleeping machine. I was trying to convince him that he needed a new one. The variety of sounds he and it managed to make is extraordinary. The intermittent beeping is the machine's warning sound. When i played it for him he cried laughing. I was just trying to recreate some monster sounds & came up with this. I overlayed a few sounds on top of each other, some of the sounds are mainly me sneezing but stretched. Other than monsters, it sounds something from underwater too. Regardless, other people may interpreted it as other types of soundings too!. This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).

It's sounds like something that can be used for example a light aircraft'spropeller blades that is struggling to start or to swing as such,. . Or with a little bit of imagination, it can be used for a couple of other sounds as well. Depends on what it is you looking for or a project that requires this type of sound !. . This is my voice of frustration. I recorded this by an accident, i got angry in the middle of recording something else. Authentic - no acting. "kurwa" is a polish word as popular and as meaningful as english "fuck". It is also (sadly) the most well-known polish word among other nations. Recorded with a zoom h2 via usb @ 48khz/16-bit into ardour 2. Edited and converted to flac using ardour 2. I apologize for uploading this.

This is a sound effect for when somebody or something (like a bone being snapped in a fight breaks). When an actor breaks somebody's arm wrist or ankle. It is really good and you can get creative with this. This is no doubt the best sound effect i have ever made. Try it out! all you have to do is give me credit in the credits if you use this sound. A glissando that's perfect for sliding in and out (both sliding in and out for each sample have been added). A lot of cartoons use this particular sound. This sound was recorded by a very talented violin player that i know personally, and edited in audacity. I used the 'dolby on' app on my iphone to record it. Please let me know what you think of it! absolutely no attribution is needed but please don't reupload this sound unless you add something to it.

I recorded this quick improvisation with my built-in laptop microphone and track monitoring on in reaper, which resulted in it sounding washed-out, warped, and screechy in the high end. At the beginning you hear the distorted wail of a left click initiating the recording. Somebody walks into the living room at the end and we share an exchange.
