This was made with kontact and a korg ea-1, mixed with a behringer mixer with light dirt and overdrive. Sampled into an mpc. Left and right are separate channels processed differently. So each sample is actually 2 different sample, 3 if you combine them. 44. 1k, 16-bit.

A digital sounding humming ringing noise, or a ringing humming sound. Not really sure how to describe this what this is, but i liked the way it sounded so i uploaded it. Sound is a paulstretched cello. Used audacity's pitch lower till it made that ringing noise. Was trying to make sound for ambient tracks.

Train passing and tannoy announcement as heard on-board the train leaving from portsmouth towards southampton central. The doors are still open so you can hear the platform announcements too. Recorded on a zoom h1 with roland in-ear mics.

I made this with iampagan's slimy_flesh cc0 sound as i needed something to draw attention to a centipede i had appearing in my animation and couldn't find anything else that would suit it. It's not the best sound ever (i'm a newbie), but maybe somebody else might have use for it. So 'ere ya go!.

I stopped at a dog park in los angeles on my way to work. There weren't too many dogs, but the maintenance workers were there cleaning up, so i recorded them. Recorded with: sound devices 702t, beyer dynamic mc930 mics.

Two small blades sliding over each other. The sound is made by using two small kitchen knifes however, try pitching it down to -12 semitones and further for a sword-like sound. The noise of the recording is gated so it still comes through a little on the decay.

Nicely recorded shower that is in the public domain so thats a bonus. Sounds great for any bathroom sound request.

Pulling the cord on my blinds to shuffle them open and closed. Done to accompany an acquaintance's 3d animation thesis. Multiple iterations and various speeds are included, so find one you like and isolate it.

One snare out of a bunch of custom snares made by me, combined samples, multi-band compressed and hit to tape. Custom to the point that i layered and re-sampled, layered and resampled. So much mangling and layering and resampling that its impossible to tell you the source to these snares.

Some bells - first played one by one, then some clusters. The bells were part of an art installation from yougoslavian artist stipo pranyko, who was having a retrospective at tea, in santa cruz de tenerife. Field recording of a large truck being used to transport some kind of utility maintenance equipment. I couldn't begin to tell you what kind of equipment, but i can overprocess the sound it makes, so i did. Sounds a bit more industrial and imposing now.

I was wearing a flat cap so the sheep thought i was the farmer and raced down the hill towards me, expecting to be fed. They were disappointed. It was early may and the air was still and clear. You can make out the echoes from the steep hill behind them.

Pine cones dropping and landing on a bed of pine needles. This recording was made on a windy day, so there is some background "whooshing" wind; all in all, i think these pine cones softly landing on the needles can be put to good use. Recording made with my zoom h4n recorder, with a rode ntg-2 shotgun microphone. For this recording i literally wanted to get as close as i could, so i placed the shotgun microphone on the ground and carefully let the pine cones fall as close to the microphone as possible, but without hitting it. *not easy to do. I did edit out some of the direct hits!. Enjoy, and if you ever get the chance to spend a warm afternoon in the peace of a thick stand of pines, you should. Kvgarlic.

Welcome to rome. We needed some drum cadences for julius caesar and i was unable to find any i really liked so we grabbed our orchestra drummer here at the theater and we came up with 13 different cadences for us including jfk's funeral march. Most are done on snare and then again on a single tom, easily looped for duration. They have no verb on them so you can add as you desire for your space. You are free to use these samples in any project you are working on. Just say hi here and let me know what you're up to. I like to know it's helping a fellow sound designer out. Acid bass: 110 bpm c2 note, not your typical saw/square basslines. High sweeping filters in parallel sampled in ableton using massive, compression using psp compressor2 and psp warmer. Random presets, and very little other effects used, mostly so this sample can be re-sampled. 110 bpm so it can be pitched up which is usually better then having to pitch samples down. This recording was made 15 nov 2008 at 21:55 when i was walking my dog. At a distance i heard running (melted) water so i took my h2 and went to the place where the sound originated from. Recorded at gps coordinates n59 16. 303 e18 04. 460.

Ian dury used something like this in "what a waste". . . It's the gurgling noise made when the last of the water runs down a bathroom sink plughole. Conveys almost as much meaning as a cistern flushing, but in a shorter time (smaller file size). As ever (with my stuff) no "noises off" and so ready for mixing!.

Two young men, one on a drum kit, his friend with a cow bell, improvising percussion in a square in copenhagen. Recorded with a hand-held mp3 player. After a few minutes, i walked away, so you'll hear the drumming get fainter and conversations of other pedestrians and shoppers in danish.

A quick multisample snare hit i did with pro tools 10. I didn't add any reverb so y'all could choose one that fits your project, but it's full and punchy. Sum to mono if you don't like the subtle panning i added. Enjoy!.

Recorded with a zoom h1 n. Waves lap gently against the sand shore, absorbed by tons of freshly strewn kelp. It is near a tide turn, so the wave action is relatively gentle. The sounds are more like lapping, and not crashing. It is a very gentle sound.
