A very old production. A simple dark ambient track, slow, brooding. It can be the dark cold regions of space, or the cobweb-filled but lifeless corners in the cellar of a haunted mansion. Mostly vst synthesizers, lots of reverb effects and eq's to shape the sound.

Quindar sounds were used by nasa for controlling the ground station transmitters that allowed communication with spaceships through the space shuttle era. Fiber optic cable has made quindar sounds obsolete. This sound, at 2525 hz, was generated when the capsule communicator pressed the ptt button on his microphone, and the pitch told the ground station transmitters to start broadcasting. If i made a movie with open space shots, this would be my background. It is originally a rubbing sound, recorded on a zoom h2, then filtered and slightly stretched. It's great as an ominous background sound.
