Storm i recorded last week on my deck in montreal. Theres a few different recording locations for about 2 minutes each, and you can hear me walking in between sorry!.

I was doing some field recording and it so happen that when i was out and about we had hail storm so i recorded from the start to finish. Whew! almost got hit by a hail stone as big as a pingpong ball. Yes, it was that big my car has dent all over, not good aye!.

This sounds as if it were staged by hollywood, but it actually did happen, i swear! birds chirp away to set the scene, but a beefy thunder roll intrudes. Soon after, raindrops begin to fall as if on cue. Theres a little handling noise click in the begining that is easy to crop out if you like. The recording is unedited. At 1:35 i move the mics closer to the deck so you can hear the splashing. At about at 3:10 i you’ll hear a different timbre as i move away from the rain and under an awning. About 3:45 the rain settles down and the birds start chirping again. Hopefully there are some useful segments in here. Recorded with a dead cat on a tascam dr-05 at 48khz 24 bit, then compressed with “lame --preset insane --scale 10” to make up for the low gain i used (i was afraid a thunderclap would engage the limiter). Very dense afternoon summer thunderstorm in the city, with rain on the metal roof, recorded by huawei phone, inside of the office room. You can hear how the rain intensifies after the thunder. Recording date: 20. 06. 2019.

Recorded during the heatwave that the uk endured in 2022 this was a recording made from the garden on august 25th. The recording starts with gentle rain which slowly becomes heavier. Around 25 minutes the first distant rumble can be heard. From 30 minutes onwards. The soothing sounds of thunder and heavy rain. From an hour on the storm moves away and the rain eases.

The sound of rain falling interspersed with rumbles of thunder at varying volumes. A lovely, rich recording. The audio is raw, so you'll need to amplify it to suit your needs. This was recorded in-person with a tascam dr-40 stereo recorder and a faux-fur wind guard due to occasional breezes. Public domain: i have released this audio file into the public domain. 4th of june 2016 thunderstorm in pécel, hungary at 5pm recorded by sony icd-ux512 dictaphone. You can hear the rain slowly coming toward us. The storm was also involved with a funnel cloud and a downburst.

City atmosphere - the mirkrofon was attached to an open skylight during a heavy rain with thunderstorm. In the background you can hear sirens of police and emergency vehicles, as well as other cars.

Caught a heavy downpour while at home and figured i'd capture it for posterity. The recording features rumbling thunder, an ambulance in the distance and a piston airplane flying over. The storm gradually drops in intensity.

Rain wind and thunder : rain with heavy thunderstorm outside a shop (or coffee shop or house or tent) with raindrops on the rooftop or the canopy being mildly sharply audible. Thunder storm in london, it happened in the early hours so traffic noise is low. There's a little hiss from the recorder, some of it is rain though. I've uploaded the whole file, its pretty big, i can upload an mp3 if anyone needs it.

Long recording out of my bedroom window of a distant thunderstorm in the summer. You can hear the distant thunder and light rain on the street outside.

Electric storms are not very common in sevilla, so after a couple of days of intense activity, i recorded some thunders from my window :). Gear: zoom h6n built-in micsedit: wavelab (just fades).

Thunderstorm developed over pécel on 6th august 2014 and produced about 5-6 mms of rain with heavy rainfall (large raindrops). This only one-thunder thunderstorm was recorded by my sony stereo dictaphone.

A thunderstorm in munich, recorded 2020-07-01 in my backyard on second floor on a balcony. It rains, the strikes come closer, then they go away, the rain recedes. Some backyard noise, faint traffic and tram. One time you here me sighing (sorry).
