time travel is a short piece of wicked delight i made in garageband for a thing called victors crypt. Did a simple drumpattern on sampled drums, added a bassline and a kind of eerie melody on top of it. Added a music box sound for extra "pleasure" ;). Could be perfect for an intro, outro, something spooky and cool, suspence, sci-fi, futuristic, mysterious or whatever you feel like. . . . Let the imagination run wild. A flexible sound effect that i created on ableton for a time travel, you can use it anywhere!.

This reel is formatted specifically for use with the "time travel simulation" technique seen at https://youtu. Be/1nqemcvv2xo. Each (short) splice is recorded only on the left channel, so that it can be processed and then re-recorded into the right channel without interference. See the video for full details. Sound: transient sounds formatted for use in make noise morphagene. Recorded by mike johnson of the make noise crew, using zoom h4n in a kichen, then processed in ableton live. There are a few drum transients from a recording session as well.

Studiorecording of time ticking away. I used a small, older alarmclock. You hear its clockwork ticking in two steps each second. Mild noise reduction was applied.

This recording was made 12 years ago, in 2008, so i may be wrong, but i believe it was recorded in times square. Recorded on edirol r-09, 48k, 24bps. Free to use anyway you like!.

I tried to get a surround recording using mics, but there was a horrible street musician playing off in the distance. I thought it wouldn't be clear in the recording, but one of the mics picked him up quite well. The recording was ruined, so i did a little processing at home and came up with this freaky bit for your listening pleasure. Not sure if it's usable beyond listening, tho. . .

A long trip with a touring bus from barcelona to germany. Recorded with mic of a sony xperia xz1 compact at 2:50 in the night, we are somewhere near lyon, the bus is driving approx 90km/h. Recorded outside louisville city hall next to the courthouse at a time with lighter traffic. Recorded around 9am on 1/30/2018. Recorded with a sound devices mixpre-3 with two rode nt5's in a x-y setup at an angle to emphasize the sound of footsteps on the sidewalk.

Captured at the brand-new castletown branch of sainsbury's. Another of those mindless public safety announcements played at either end of a moving walkway. This time, members of the public are asked to be prepared to get their trolley off the walkway. In surveying the scene, it occurred to me that there was also no other choice! one could, i suppose, deliberately come to a screeching halt immediately after disembarking and my late mother-in-law would have been somebody who did just that! so, i suppose there's some point this after all!.

This recording was taken in the edinburgh cbd during the fringe festival in august 2022 in the early evening, around 7pm. I like it because it gives an idea of the unusual way that sounds travel in that city. I could never figure out the reason for it, but it was noticeable to me the whole time i was there. If anyone knows the reason please post it in the comments. The recording was made with the inbuilt stereo microphones of a zoom h5 portable recorder.

This sound field recording was made back in 2000 on a very late/early morning. I placed the sony microphone ontop of the car outside to record the crickets and cicadas. There were a lot of mosquitos out that hot night. One of them landed on the mic and actually bit the microphone. You have to listen close but the bug bites at about 14:28 and removes the mosquito blood sucker at about 34:28. The microphones are facing across the street to the el tracks which cross diagonally across the block at this point. The curvature of the tracks causes the squeaking of the wheels. Trains heading into the loop (north) tend to travel more slowly than those heading south. Cars accumulate at the intersection of harrison and wabash to the south (left). Time of recording was 5:41pm. Weather was warm, in the 80s. Recording details: 2 audio technica at4022s in rycote windshields > sound devices 302 mixer > tascam dr-40 recorder.

I videoed this sound of a subway train in glasgow scotland on the famous "clockwork orange" train as they are called. I used my canon powershot a460 digital camera to video this, i simply took the sound from the video. I was lucky enough to get a good run on this with just a few poeple on board, so there wasn't any other sound apart from the train, the only time you here some movement of feet is when the doors open. Please note, anybody is free to use this sound, you don't have to credit me, but it would be fun to hear how you use my sound if possible. :) here is the link to the type of licence i use. I recorded the last part of my travel to work, the first day after my vacation. Inside the train my recording equipment (soundman digital recorder dr2) generates a lot of digital noise – more than usual. Interesting. Therefore i upload from when the commuter train stops at gothenburg central station and the doors open and i walk away from the station. The digital noise is there all the time but just less audible. In the beginning of the sound file you hear the noise clearly. Don’t buy this little recorder… (it has a sigmatel recording chip. ). In the frequency analysis, and spectral view, i notice peaks at about 800 - 950hz, 7850 - 8350hz and 16100-16450hz. I guess this is part of the digital noise. Tried to eq this away with spectral edit. This did not improve the sound. The noise has a wider spectrum. Tried to download the “latest” firmware at www. Soundman. De. Had to open command prompt and use unzip to extract the files. What?! but the firmware downloader does not detect the “device”. I doubt there is a new firmware anyway. The year for this recording, according to the recorder, is 2002…. The recording starts about 07:50 monday, august 07, 2017. I took 2 seconds from the beginning of this file and used paulstretch. Resulting in a 20second digital noise drone, “dr2 digital noise”,https://freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/399075/had a thought that i could use a file like this to cancel out these frequencies from the other file with an inverted digital noise file… but i cant invert frequencies – off course :-d.
