It is one of the largest shifting sand areas in western europe. The wind can blow undisturbed in many places, resulting in an ever-changing landscape. By purchasing it in 1921, it has been protected for 100 years and we can still enjoy this brabant sahara today. You can roam freely on the sand plain. So there is plenty of room to explore extensively. Marvel at the submerged trees, enjoy the chirping field crickets and quench your thirst at one of the many cafes or restaurants on the edge of this nature reserve. Field recording of times square in new york city recorded at 6 am on a saturday morning. The recorder is situated in the center of times square, some cars (mostly taxis) are underway, some (very few) people as well, cleaners and a team of subway construction workers are on the scene. Recording was conducted in march 2012 with a zoom h2, mics set to 90° dispersion.

Oh! How I Hate to Get Up in the Morning, a song by Irving Berlin produced on U.S. Army time for the Army benefit show, Yip Yip Yaphank (1918). I believe the version used in the show used the opening verse from the Irving Kaufman recording; the opening verse here was probably made for publication. This is Edison Blue Amberol #3639, which was created using Edison Diamond Disc matrix #6287.

An Edison "Perfected" Phonograph cylinder recording of The Lost Chord (composed 1877) by Arthur Sullivan (1842-1900), played on piano and cornet. One of the earliest surviving recordings of music; was played at the press conference that introduced the phonograph to London on August 14 1888. Cuts off slightly before the ending of the song. The recorded version is somewhat abridged (a middle section has been cut, possibly due to time constraints). Overall a well-preserved example of wax cylinder recording technology. Length: 2:07
