Recently, i have been playing "the last stand legacy collection" and got inspired to create some of my own zombie sound effects. These are all created by me from my own voice. I was looking for the sound of a hot engine clicking and found just one with lots of background noises. So i decided to build it from scratch in bitwig studio and this is it. The sound starts with fast clicking slowing down. It's not perfect, you can still hear it's made from samples. But as the sound is normally used at low volume, i think i can get away with it. Feel free to add a gate and shape it even further. I may upload an updated version later.

My first little attempt at making some film-like sound effects. Alot of bass in this one, tried to cut it below 30-50hz. I just want to point out to the people having a listen, that the sample that streams on the website has a small static-like noise in it. . Squeaking old office armchair. I have recorded this sound using my ipad 3, and software is dictaphone by alon software, version 1. 7. 6. Recording quality setting: normal. It was recorded at my office in mexico city, i was looking for a kind of similar sound at freesound. Org, and since i did not find anything related, i decided to make my own sound effect and my first upload to your web. I lowered the ipad in my hand under the chair and swayed back and forth three times to achieve the tone i considered efficient. Recorded: august 31, 2019.

Some sounds of blowing across the top of a glass bottle. Specifically a 33cl cider bottle. :-). Captured using a rode nt5 small-diaphragm condenser microphone and a zoom h5 recorder. Basic editing in ocenaudio, also applied some slight de-reverberation. I intend to record a proper version later on, including different articulations at various pitches. But that may take a while. When i first tested out my zoom h5 i began talking into the mic and then all of a sudden i needed a sneeze. I was about to stop the recording but then thought it would be good to record the sneeze to see how it handled my loudness. Well it coped very well and the recording came out perfect!i then played around with it in audacity and slowed it down -86% which makes me sound like a roaring lion. So i thought i'd upload this slowed down version too!.

This was recorded using the application recording studio pro. It was made for sound effects by the sister company, beyond the mind design™ and was created for a commissioned short animation. It was produced using a metal ruler and my voice. In this version: the sound has been slightly amplified and overall tone has been equalized, giving a more refined sound effect and higher overall volume. Five minutes of rain, artificially created. Using a blue yeti usb condenser mic on the cardioid pattern, i made a 30-minute recording of sounds from my sink (drips, splashes, different faucet pressures) and cut them up into 60 files, later edited down to 20. These were layered together and mixed with white, pink, and brownian noise. Slight noise removal done. Recorded some basic mic noise, and used a subtractive processor (reafir in reaper) to remove that sound from the final mix. Convolution reverb was added for a fairly realistic set-it-and-forget-it option. I've uploaded a dry version as well.

I needed a rattle-snake sound for a tracklay so recorded myself shaking my salt and pepper grinders. Considering i recorded this on a stereo mic in the bedroom of my two-bed flat, i think it came out pretty well!. This is the processed version, which has been through noise reduction and high-pass filtering (soft cut off begins somewhere around 200hz). I believe that this has drastically improved the raw recording, but if you would like to use the original and process it yourself, feel free to send me a message and i will upload it. Recorded using my zoom h1 at 48k/32-bit (because i didn't realise it wasn't set to 96k. . . Whoops!).

Afternoon rain, a light rain or drizzle. Recorded with my desktop computer, anhp pavillion with vista and realtek audio. Standard microphone. Since the rain wasnot blowing in the door, i could hangthe mike out the door. Audacity was myplatform, with very little processing. This version was recorded with the default amplitude at o db. There is a little thunder now and then,and birds chirping outside, mostlycatbirds or mockingbirds. At one pointone of my neighbors was outside talking,the conversation is not distinguishable. This recording is just over 37 minutes. Since there was almost no wind or breeze, the rain is easy to hear. Thatis when it falls on the sidewalk.

I really enjoyed exetone studio's recording of a bell found here - https://freesound. Org/people/exotonestudio/sounds/416992/. I took this sample into melodyne and moved all of its frequencies into "c" range. This gets rid of harmonics and makes the sample well-suited to use as a musical instrument. I prefer the original sample for some purposes. Unprocessed, it has a richer sound. And i also truncated to get rid of a tricky bit i couldn't fix. And i combined stereo tracks into mono, since that works better for an instrument where one wants to control panning inside of a composition. So as a pure sound effect, i recommend the original. This version is just useful as an instrument.

A soundscape of several thunderstorms mixed together to create a uniquely immersive, full field recording. This editing process allows for rain and thunder strikes to be recorded at different volumes and creates a more diverse atmosphere with different types of rain, wind, and ambiance melded into one found sound. Although each storm was recorded in a slightly different location, everything is from the greater detroit, mi, usa area. -recorded entirely with a tascam dr-03 set at 48 k / 24 bit. Then each different storm was edited together in magix music maker. -this album version fades out with a simple, repeating synth line.

During my exchange semester i took a class called "sound and electronics in theater". We had to do an editing project where i had to make a 30 second sample of the sentence “a large monster charged a whole group of people. I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. An mp3 version of the 4-minute recording of an apartment parking lot in a small neighborhood with a busy nearby roadway - from a different perspective. Cars can be heard driving by, along with a faint humming with from some machinery and a small amount of wind. There is also some faint talking, laughing and coughs from a group in one of the apartment buildings, which can add to the effect. There are two instances when cars drive into the parking lot (about at 3:20 and 3:40), and shortly afterward a person walks by the mic. Recorded with the microphone of a nikon coolpix camera.

Upper maxwell falls, evergreen, co, at the top of the falls. Recorded a little before dusk, 2017-07-19. Recorded binaurally using sound professionals ms-tfb-2 binaural microphone headset, 12vdc battery box, sound devices mixpre-6 at 24/192. Postprocessing: digital gain, downsampled to 16/48. Flac: encoded. The rock formations here play appealing tricks with the sound of the running and falling stream. Facing out over falls dropoff, vaguely. A lot of digital gain (+30db?) was applied in postprocessing. The analog preamp was originally set to +21db on the aux-in (ch5/6) input, but this may not have been the optimal gain staging. A request for freesounder neilreynolds1980, intended as a soundtrack for the play dr faustus at the point the eponymous character is sucked into hell. A bit of technical information: the basic sound is a stacked set of ‘devil’s intervals’ (augmented fourths) with doubling at the octave, playing an instance of calf organ set to a truly horrifying demonic choir patch i created. The rest of the effects are accomplished using automation of this instrument as well as calf pulsator and calf filter in ardour. This sounds much better when downloaded than it does in the freesound player. The stereo image and sample rate are much reduced in the version you hear in the player.

I was fooling around with audacity and created this neat little sound. I have no clue how to lower the volume, and really, i mean it: this thing is loud. I keep my volume at 10% and i couldn't even listen to this thing with my headphones. I have tried to lower the volume (so that it doesn't hurt the ears) but to no avail. If you by chance know how (in audacity) then feel free to tell me in the comments and i'll re-upload a non-deafening version. If you use it i don't mind at all, though i am curious, if you do use it, what you'll use it for. Either way, i don't mind, but i'm curious by nature.

Brownian noise sounding like a flying plane at 3×10^4 feet above the earth. . . I created that in audacity! final peak amplitude: 0. 75000 (linear) -2. 49877 db. I applied a bunch of filter curves to make this 90 second loop, normalized to 75% volume. I started with 120 seconds, then made it 90 seconds. Estimated start pitch: d2 (75. 000 hz). Because of the 1024 mb limit, i can't upload the 108-minute version (2 channels, 24-bit, 48000 hz costs 1. 74 gib). Sorry. The final sample rate is 48000 hz, 24-bit wav. I created this myself in audacity 3. 1. 3, so no need to attribute! :). Note: this sounds like it's the 2370 screen ;o).

When Johnny Comes Marching Home performed by the Brass Quartet of the United States Navy Band. Members of the quartet include Chief Musician Stanley Curtis on trumpet, Musician 1st Class Philip Eberly on euphonium, Musician 1st Class Anthony Halloin on tuba and Chief Musician John Schroeder on trumpet. Originally an early 19th century Irish tune that became popular during during the civil war, Patrick Gilmore wrote lyrics for it and published it as "When Johnny Comes Marching Home" in 1863. The version you hear performed by the Navy Band Brass Quartet was arranged by Schroeder. This is a short, dissonant loop made with a neapolitan mandolin. This has been recorded with an sm7b into a rme interface, and quantized to 148bpm in logic pro x. This is a dry file with no other processing. I used it on a couple of old-school hip-hop beats to trigger effects or completely butchering with distortion for some extra textures. I thought it might come in handy to rap producers out there! if you do something with it, i would love to check it out!. I was recording an acoustic version of a song called "closer" by my band dead rituals, and a friend let me borrow this old neapolitan mandolin. I made some random noises by picking behind the strings at the end of a take, and i decided to sample it!.

For a podcast project i needed some coffee related sounds so i recorded our techni-vorm moccamaster, filter coffee machine as it brewed a full pot. Our version has a metallic thermos jug rather than the standard glass jug. This recording was made using a sound devices mixpre6ii and a stereo pair of fel em172 mics. Low cut on the sd which in basic mode is 80hz (i think). There is no processing to this recording other than to ‘normalize’ the levels. I do not require any credit or attribution. Note: the high-pitched squeaks are artifacts from freesound's preview and aren't present in the actual recording. 10 minutes of a thunderstorm, recorded september 7th, 2019 from my apartment window in seattle. This is the raw recording straight from my zoom h5. Levels were kept low to minimize the chance of clipping. A few thunder sounds were still too loud, but luckily the h5 has a backup function that recorded an identical track 12 db quieter. I've uploaded that as well, so you can splice the two together to taste. Eventually i'll release a processed version with the two combined, plus compression and eq, but i wanted to upload the source material in case you'd prefer to diy it.

I recently contributed a track to a triple lp set of krautrock cover versions ("head music 2", released by fruits de mer records, december 2020). The song i chose to cover was kraftwerk's "autobahn". If you know the track, you'll know that it uses synthesised traffic sounds alongside recordings of the same. On my version, i achieved these in three ways:. 1) i downloaded some public domain traffic sound effects from elsewhere here on freesound. Org (thanks, guys!). 2) i got in my car with my zoom recorder and made my own recordings of the engine starting, stopping, etc. 3) i made my own sound effects using virtual synths and effects in ableton live 10. This particular sound falls into the third category. Let me stress that while the song "autobahn" is copyrighted, these are isolated sound effects and are not covered by copyright. I'm making them available here under a public domain licence. If you download and use any of these samples, please let me know in the comments what you did with them. It's not compulsory but it would be interesting to know what people did with these sounds.

This is the unprocessed version of my "sci-fi ambient drone" upload. It's creative commons cc0, so please treat it as public domain. You can use it in any commercial or non-commercial media for free, no restrictions. I took a quick 8-second drum loop from my teenage engineering po-33 (ko) and ran it through a free time-stretching/pitch-shifting program called akaizer. This program is based on old samplers like the akai s1000 that had extremely artifact-heavy time-stretching and pitch-shifting features. If you slow a sound down enough, the final product tends to sound harsh and electric. Akaizer turned my 8-second drum loop into 2 minutes and 38 seconds of harsh, bassy noise, pretty damn close to the final. Enjoy :).

A hot summer afternoon in the swedish forest/mountains. Recorded with zoom h5 (xy) outside the cabin i rented. Recording mostly consists of birds and general life from people moving/talking as they arrive to their cabins with family. Its intended to represent a peaceful vibe with some human presence. I decided to not remove much movement/actions from the people such post because i felt it might suck out the soul of the recording. In post: in pro tools i removed some low rumble, and and trimmed the highs just a little bit. Added a "pro expander" to lower some noise, both generated by the h5 and the location. Ps. I have a version with 2 dpa 4060 in a ab stereo fashion of the same recording, abit noisy but its on my profile if you want to listen. Hope you like it.

Saying " gamsa hamnida ! 🙏 "which means thank you in korean / a kind way to express gratitude. Gamsa can also be pronounced kamsa. Hamnida can also be pronounced habnida / hapnida. Note: i have created a newer version which has better looping. It is called drum beat loop 2. 0. This is a drum beating. It is 12 seconds long but can be looped. It was createdusing ableton live (including plugins like acdgen, drumbrain, and polyrandom). The files were then combined and edited using audacity. Feel free to comment your opinions on this. Note: while this did loop just fine in my tests, some software don't handle the looping as well (like groove music pauses before repeating). If the looping doesn't work the first time, try using a different software. You can easily do this on a windows pc by right clicking on the file and pressing open with (i am sure there is also a way to do this on a macbook but i have never used one so i am not sure how you would do it).
