Recorded with iphone while waiting in line at a notary's office in rio de janeiro brasil. Some very loud dot matrix printers, some stamps and a talking (portuguese) background. You can't really get what is said or even the language.

I recorded this with a yamaha pocketrak that i taped to the feeder and enhanced the vol. With sony sound forge. It was fun to watch their reaction to the recorder but they eventually figured out it was harmless. Hunger overcomes fear every time. :o) here and there you can hear our tv in the background as i forgot to mute it. Please comment on what you may use it for. Thanks. :o).

I don't know what kind this was, but several red-headed woodpeckers appear at my feeder. I got just one series without background traffic noise. If you want to repeat it for effect, each series came 46 seconds apart. Probably how long it took him to eat the bugs he turned up.

This is a clip of various engine sounds recorded on my 2003 subaru impreza wrx with a 3" turbo-back exhaust system. The audio starts with the engine at idle and includes a few engine revs at different rpms. You can hear some turbo whistling and also some rattling of god-knows-what parts. It's a little muffled (kind of a muddy sound), but could be used as part of an action sequence or with a music track laid over. A compilation made from a longer recording taken in my backyard on the 4th of july 2021. There are lots of pops and booms of neighborhood fireworks. I strung together what sounded like the best and got rid of longer periods of inactivity or other distracting noises. Enjoy!.

This is a very interesting sound to make. Luckely i knew exactly how to make this sound. I used leather jacket. I twisted the jacket back and forth moving it in front of the mic. The sound is almost identical to what i wanted. This was recorded at the open window institute sound booth in centurion, south africa.

Some creatures chirping at night, with city ambient noise in the background. I don't know if they are birds, or bats, or what. I stayed at my grandmother's place for a few days, where these creatures are heard every night, but no one ever saw them to be able to identify them. Recorded with a zoom h4n portable recorder, on the balcony in my grandmother's apartment.

Recorded using a pair of rode lavalier microphones from a loft window. The hail stones were hitting the metal flashing (i think that it what it is called) around the window. Trying so hard to alleviate the boredom. Synths are cool. I tried to make a sound to emulate the slim phatty poly/multiosc. Moog that i saw earlier, it's nowhere near as big and beautiful but it helped pass some time. Like champagne on a beer budget, it's just what might be.

I'm trying to create a sound that resembles captain america's shield from the marvel movies. I took a recording of a metal garbage can ringing and brought it into iris 2. I cut the attack from the envelope and added light amplitude sine wave modulation. I also set a short decay. I also layered a clean sine wave underneath the recording sample in order to give the recording more umph and body when it resonates. This is the base of captain america's shield. Layer this with metal impacts and sub sonic stings and you're all set. Please post a link if you use this file. I'm excited to see what you can do with this!. This is a simulation of the sound produced by the fabyan anti-gravity device which was built, tested and debunked in 1913 at riverbank estates in geneva, illinois. The device is now in the geneva historical society museum but is too fragile to attempt to operate it. This simulation was produced to accompany an asa conference presentation "what did colonel fabyan's anti-gravity device sound like?".

This was a recording i made on a zoom h2 of a cat's purr, ran thru several filters until i had what i wanted, a repeating, ordered, police like siren underwater. Recorded at the highest wav settings on my h2, so it should be decent enough. (chirping sound heard on freesound disappears on full downloaded version. ).

Generative modular acid line sequenced with my own custom script that is specialized for non-quantized sort of strings of notes. I mangled the envelope quite a bit though so it just sounds more swingy than anything i guess. Not sure what the bpm would be. Would be better if it were cut up for one-shot sounds maybe.

Recording made in july in deep forst; a plane is lazily droning overhead, and the ever-present chorus of summer insects is heard. Made with zoom h4n using the internal microphones.
