Searched everywhere for this sound and was astonished not to find it. Very basic slap of the bare palm over the opening of an empty glass bottle, while holding the bottle in the other hand. Sound of the tip of a retracted pen being scraped and run over my hand. There is the odd squeak of the plastic against the skin. Some minor processing has been applied to cut the really low frequency sounds (sub 200hz).

Slow deliberate snipping of scissors. I operated the shiny new steel scissors with my right hand whilst gently holding my chin with my left, providing a thoughtful pose for my onlookers's enjoyment. Olympus ls-5, built-in mic capsules, no filtering.

Proper rainforest simulation this- a low-pass filter self-oscillating, with a lot of modulation, run through both a delay and a reverb. The result was not recorded off the mixer, but by means of a hand-held zoom h1n, giving it an ‘outdoor’ ambience.
