Suspended cymbal bowed with a [cheap] synthetic double bass bow heavily rosined. Recorded using a samar al95 ribbon mic and metric halo unl-8 interface. Recorded august 27, 2020.

This is part of the jack daniels sample pack - a small analog synth (alesis sr-12ssa) triggered by real drums played by jack daniels. Yamaha oak 13" snare triggering the synth.

My sax player friend played a few things for me and so i sampled parts of them (fairly long parts) to share. Used a sm57 about 3 inches away from the barrel.

This sound is created with a drumbrute impact. There is a sweet spot with the drumbrute-impact fm_drum that can create a dual tone drum sound, this is how it can sound, but it is not easy to get it into the right pitch.
