I sampled the bell tree at our church. After seeing how much the instrument costs at the music store, i opted to not buy one. The long version of this moves from left to right, and has the single sample repeat twice. So it begins on the left, has a delayed start in the center, then finally a third repeat starts on the right. Add liberal amounts of reverb, to taste. A walking recording, starts off with a very noisy garbage truck, then all sorts of other street sounds in east village, nyc. Ends with me entering my apartment building through a double door. Explicit content starts at around -2:00 where a guy wants the *whole* world to hear his drama and he uses some explicit language while i'm waiting to cross the avenue to my building. File also edited a little bit for time.

Lazer sound. I made this lazer sound with the use of operator in ableton as well as adding a few effects to help round it out. I started with a basic sine wave and then began to adjust the frequency range to cut out some of the low end of the sound and enhance the high end to make it more realistic and movie accurate. I also had to shorten the decay time so it is more of a short zap sound than a prolonged note. Another step was giving it an initial high pitched sound and this was achieved by having the sound start higher up the scale with semitones and then dropping down giving the effect of shooting and something traveling from the source sound.
