A recording of a thunderstorm using my zoom h4n from my front porch. The clip starts toward the tail end of the storm, and the thunder and rain slows down throughout. Starting in the middle and towards the end of the clip, there's even some birds and forest frogs in the background. A few cars drove past, and they can be heard as well.

I got into a small crawl space under a concrete road, which seemed to be an old sewage tunnel, and recorded the sound of a car driving overtop of me. It's a gentle rise and fall of a car engine. You can hear me let out my breath as the car drives away.

Part of a pack of source recordings i created to use as part of the sound design for the ios/android game 'hipster zombies'. This is the sound of a toy skull type thing my girlfriend found, which has a lid you can open and then there's a gooey brain inside which makes awesome squelchy sounds.

I combined a lot of fx from this site to make a huge explosion with a large aftermath and ringing in the ears- to make it a more 'cinematic' moment, i have a build up in reverse to the moment, a pause, then the explosion. Rubble and glass fall as the listeners' ears ring from the explosion.

Self-created fire alarm. The idea is based on the typical fire alarm in buildings and was supplemented by a typical (slightly pitched) sound sequence of the us emergency vehicles. The sounds and the composition were created completely with audacity. I would be happy about suggestions for improvement and how you have used the sound sequence. This is the digital belgian railroad crossing alarm sound. The belgian railroad company infrabel replaced all the mechanical bells at railroad crossings with a pulsating digital sound that they claim to be more efficient and safe then the previous analog bell sound. Infrabel made this recording available online as part of a media campaign about the replacement.

And the device being too tiny to produce the sound signal, it was difficult to record the full length and frequencies. There could be other better sounds from a professional recorder.
