May by it was a mistake to amplify the sound in audacity? but i think there is a nice room ambiance to the recording. Ideas for next time. Use guitar amp. Find old tape recorder. Young girls are practicing music in a room. There is a drum-set and a piano there. Recorded with olympus vn-120, which is basically designed for taking voice memo. Drum beats are compressed by a little electronic circuit built in vn-120's tiny body. The mere thought of it just impresses me.

Here are some english truckers(?) chatting over cb radio. They seem to be talking about one of their mates growing a beard and suggesting they ‘give him a quran’.

Underhood recording of my renault 19 with oldish carburetted cleon engine (c2j). Double barrel webber 32 drt carb ~72ps engine. Start engine, tire skid, hard acceleration up to 6000 rpm and coast down to idle, several times. Throttle blips up to 7000 rpm. Mic: sony ecm-ds30p stereorecorder: sony mz-n707 mini disc, sp mode, agc: off. Wanted to test this cheap mic and custom made windscreen - this is my first car recording, and that's why i started with this cheap microphone, don't want to learn on expensive stuff. Still, i'm amazed how the recording turned out, it's $24 mic in not very silent area, yet it captured sound rather nicely. Windscreen (cost $0) turned out to be not that good :).

My headset was plugged in into internal audio device, capture level sets to maximum and used command:arecord -c2 -f cd -d 10 internalaudiodevicenoise. Wav. Yes, guys, it's linux! :-). So pretty noise generated by very cheap device!as you can see from the console command, audiofile have the next format: signed 16 bit little endian, rate 44100 hz, stereo, duration 10 seconds.

This sound is made from ground up intirely on the computer. It was meant to sound like something is breaking down. Actually it's made up of two sounds mixed together. The one is a chip (snack) that is being crushed and the other is a drawer being smacked hardly. The entirety is then downpitched. Made with adobe audition and a regular cheap microphone.
