Original description: a deep noise with some clickyness to it, came from an edison recording of a kick.

In the garden of an old house in dreux, france, on a warm july day. Some footsteps in the dry grass, then still. Birdsong, a little bit of wind at the start, a buzzing insect. Recorded on a stereo zoom h2, slightly filtered to take the edge off the wind sounds.

Hitting an old, empty oil drum lost in some old woods in various ways (on my palm, knuckle, with a stick, etc) to make different deep bass noises. Natural reverb since it was in a large open space.

Slapping a wooden desk with palms and made a simple percussion loop. It is already trimmed and looped, so you can immediately use it in your daw. Recorded with xperia phone, and then denoised, normalised. The sample is dry with no effects, so you can process it further to your liking.

Just did a video where a man was rolling down a hill hitting rocks and bumps along the way. This is a public domain free to use for any purpose. I recorded this in my audio studio with a simple large diaphragm condenser mic dry. It's supposed to sound a bit corny!.

Frogs croaking, getting louder as the person approaches (footsteps on dry grass)recorded 8th june 2015 at 11 pm on a field in the outskirts of hamburg, south-east of the centre near the elbe (a field north of the street kirchwerder elbdeich). Recorded on a samsung galaxy s3 phone.

This is a clean stereo recording of a oddly shaped gong with some stones resting inside it. Recorded in a very dry room with a mid-sides mic setup. Mics used were akg 414, and an oktava mk-012-01 pencil condenser.

Mono recording. I used a sinusoïde, and i put an effect to change the height (-31. 000, pitch from a to d#/eb). I put an other effect like the phaser (phase 2; dry/web 128; frequency 0. 4; phase departure 0; depth 100; return 0) and an echo (duration 1 sec, factor of diminution 0. 5).

Simple noodling using the soprsax! patch on the yamaha vl70-m physical modelling synthesizer using the yamaha wx11 windcontroller. Vaguely inspired by listening to a video about wayne shorter’s infant eyes. Might become useful in a future piece of musicking.

Wind recorded at the end of 2016 in canary islands. Strong wind (thanks to the mountain), but it was recorded on the other side of a house and it wasn't that strong in that moment. A fly buzzing around. The thumps are the fly bumping into the wall and a lampshade. This file is dry, so there's some low-frequency garbage from my holding the mic and following the fly. A high pass at around 200hz fixes that. Feel free to use this for whatever you want. 100% public domain.

This is a sample of a classic (diy) dubsiren build by me. Its a squarewave synth modulated with a squarewave lfo. The sample is dry. Add delay and some chorus, reverb, (resonant) (auto) filter or so to get the typical dubby soundsystem style.

City sewer outflow to the baltic sea in gdynia, poland. Outflow dry, zoom h4n's internal mics placed 30 cm inside a sewer outflow (about 1m diameter) directly to the sea. No editing whatsoever. If you're as sick as me, you could hear the waves coming in and out of this tight pipe. . .

I recorded these samples after recording a loop of the famous think beat. I used mapex big rock kick and toms and a mapex daisycutter snare along with zultan 15" raw hihat and a zultan 20" dark matter crash.

The sound caught my attention and i thought others might find it useful. The sound comes from a small cardboard box with a glossy exterior being removed from a slightly bigger cardboard box causing the little pop at the end.

A simple sine-generator piped through a slew of wacky effects automated with randomized lfos. I added some cabinet emulation to give it a 'living room' feel but left it dry enough to add additional stereo/reverb processing. P. S. It loops cleanly. Software: bitwig studio.

Graham cracker foley recorded with a pair of mics in xy stereo arrangement (close), and small diaphragm condenser mic (far) running parallel. Processed in reaper with ambient noise reduction, compression, and eq. Each file mixed according to the title ("far" or "close" dominant).

This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

I got into a small crawl space under a concrete road, which seemed to be an old sewage tunnel, and recorded the sound of a car driving overtop of me. It's a gentle rise and fall of a car engine. You can hear me let out my breath as the car drives away.

I made changes in the impulse response of the fisher k-10, i used a demo of the fisher spacexpander on youtube that had a warmer sound, i did eq match using small sections of the video where the audio is dry or wet, i did this sin several times and the result was fantastically similar. Two sustained voice samples i subsequently pitch shifted and layered for an ambient work (to achieve an 80's choir pad effect). The key is almost in middle c, but slightly off. . . Because i can't sing. The second, lower voice sample was recorded extremely close to the mic to achieve clipping; i wanted to get a buzzy, boomy sound out of it.

This is the sound of attempting to uncork a bottle of champagne with a saber, but, after a few practice hacks that hit the glass neck of the bottle, accidentally cutting off the bottle at the neck. Champagne explodes out and drips onto the ground, which is grassy and dry. Recorded with a boom microphone onto a p2 card via a panasonic hvx200 digital video camera.
