Plane- it’s difficult to get good recordings of planes taking off these days. There’s always major streets or highways close by which results in a bunch of unwanted traffic noise. It’s difficult to find a good vantage point to set up because there’s hardly any public parking with unobstructed sight lines (or in my case hearing lines) to the planes. Plus, with all the extra security measures in place these days, how suspicious would i look setting up a laptop andsome cables and some other electronic equipment in the general area of the runway?but i managed to get this recording. It’s not spectacular, but it’s ok. There’s some worker truck at the end of it which gets in the way, but doesn’t ruin it. A nice ambient recording made on sunday morning may 5th 2013 around 6:30 in the morning in the shawnee national forest in deep southern illinois. I had originally wanted to get good, clear recordings of the tremendous numbers of warblers that are here, but a good, soaking steady light rain decided to stick around. I though, what the heck, that is a part of our natural world also, so let's get it all "on tape". . . . Hope you enjoy this. Recording made with my handy zoom h4n recording utilizing its built-in microphones. To keep as much water off of my h4n as possible, i put one of my big, furry, knitted insulated sock-cap over the recorder, that at least kept my recorder from swimming in water.

Here is some more of that couple next door. This one got some good loud noises as well as some soft noises of the woman. The sex noises is from 2:30-5:54. The other unnecessary noises kept in were mainly from the couple. This is edited and shortened with audacity.

I was searching for good door sounds, but i couldn't find any, so i recorded myself opening my door. Recorded with samsung galaxy s7 edge, and cleaned up in audacity. I think the result came out nicely :)i hope you can use it.

A field recording of some machinery humming and some distant background construction in my street. I decided to record it as part of my college project. Would make good atmos. Recorded in stereo on a zoom h4npro microphone. Hope this helps! :)).

An ominous ambient background hum that is heavy on the bass and with other layers to add subtle complexity. Loopable. Good for a dramatic scene on a space ship to add tension. Created in adobe audition.

This sound i did create with cubase daw. It's based on the sound "guitar harmonics" of cubase and i added the following effects : multi delay, chorus and phaser. It's only one track. Samplerate : 48 000 khzit's free to use. It might be a good background sound for special scenes in games, movies or videos.

A quirky weird song of dead people singing about flowers. Maybe good for a musical about zombies? ha! i did all the singing voices and also i created the music with my yamaha keyboard. Mixed it on my roland vs-840.

A thunderstorm outside my house in nashville. Recorded on at2020-usb microphone, from various angles. Includes a brief couple seconds where i talk (just before the audio spikes). You'll probably not want that in your mix.

Enormous pumps running at at tva hydroelectric facility at elder mountain, tennessee. Very loud machine sounds, good for factories, jet airplanes, and other heavy industry situations. There is some talking at the beginning, but after 20 or 30 seconds, it's a very clean recording. Made with an iphone.

Im just playing on my acoustic guitar open d-major chord with fingerpicking style. Record through "akg perception 100". This is good sweety loop for your background needs. Tempo - 60 bpm.

Synth bagpipes with snare only. I made this for the backing track, at very low volume, for a video sound track. It's good enough for something like that. I don't know anything about pipes so don't freak out if play them. It's g at 100bpm in 6/8.

Finally, a month after i needed it for my last film, i got really good foley of a spectacular thunderstorm. Here's 10 min of the best part. I can't use it right now, but maybe others can. It contains steady, heavy rain with peals of thunder at various distances.

Waves on a winter beach. It may be good for those who love nature ambiances. I used audio-technica bp4025 half plunged into my bag, which sometimes masks right channel. A distant ship makes slight low frequency hum. Korg mr-2.

Saint john's night (23rd june) at caldes de montbui, barcelona. Several fireworks explosions recorded with a zoom h6 with the stereo shotgun ms capsule. Some of the explosions are clipped, but the average quality of the recording is good.

Wooden stick: the sound of a wooden stick falling on the floor. It bounces a bit around. Only one stick falling. Recorded with a zoom h6 (rode ntg-2). Recorded in a room with good acoustic. Can be used in the scenario of a drum stick falling down. Or wooded weapon staff.

Here's a low volume, low frequency noise recorded during an acoustic survey of a condominium to identify a sleep-disturbing noise. It is primarily a combination of 13, 18 and 23 hz (5 hz steps). Not audible on computer speakers, it should be listened to on closed back headphones or very good quality sound system.

A man's scared, arrhythmic breathing; good for horror. Came here to find the sound of a male's scared breathing, couldn't find one i could use and instead recorded myself. Figured i might as well upload it for anyone else who'd need it for their morally questionable projects too, so enjoy!.

A real small laugh. During a recording, i started laughing for a stupid reason, and ruined the recording. But one good thing that came out of it, was the laugh. I have the full version of the recording saved somewhere(i know where), but i do not believe it is that great. I decided to cut the beginning of the recording, leaving only the laugh.

Stretched sound, good for video games. I made the original sample in fruity loops using the reverse effect on a basic software sample sound. After that i used paul stretcher effect in audacity to stretch everything up and give it a longer feel. Also added little bit of dellay and reverb after stretching it.

I have created this bass out of my voice, it is pretty rough for ears if you have got a good headphones or repro. I had to widen it and make it sound more dynamically. Enjoy!.

Another sound that has been heavily edited to the point of being unrecognizable. This sound byte is an odd one that i made when i was pretty bored, it might be good for a drone or sound of a phantom or something. It could even be a warning or system message for a game. Either way, hope that this strange sound is useful to you somehow.

A summer field near a big lake in july, at dusk using zoom h4n recorder with built-in stereo mics. You can hear a quick fly buzz at 33 seconds in. You will also hear a boat in the distance towards the end. Great to enjoy with good headphones on.

This is a "recreation" of the sounds heard at the beginning of the "alice in wonderland" superbowl tv spot. I used jobro's cinematica 7 in reverse and timbre's bass drum and discordant bells. The ticking sound i made by tapping a pen. I recorded the full "ticking track" (up to :17 in the spot) but didn't have the string hits to make it sound good.

While doing sit-ups in my bedroom - i've discovered that the friction of my back with the floor makes hilarious "fart-like" sounds. I grabbed my zoom h4n recorder - and recorded some. Good fart sounds are sometimes not so easy to find :). (this is file 2 of 2. Each was recorded in a different rec. Level. . . ).

Independence day fireworks display, recorded july 2004 in tewksbury, ma. The noise floor on this one is not so good, but there are a fair number of very nice explosions, pops, and whistles. The sound of quad cycles being ridden in the distance is also audible, particularly loudly starting around the 15:00 mark.

This is a looping sound effect. Timing got screwy while making it so i dont have a bpm or even a time sig. Made it with an old yamaha synth and a mac. Makes me kind of nervlous when i lissen to it so it might work good whe you wanna confuze somebody or make them cautious.

A recent visit to london and i recorded these sounds with my iphone4 for a project, they aren't the highest of quality (limited by the mic quality on the phone) but they give a good indication and could probably benefit from some eq to make it sound better.
