This is a field recording of a grey seal pup wailing while trying to find its mother's teat. Recorded at a lincolnshire grey seal colony in late november 2012. A lot of wind noise, unfortunately.

A grey squirrel (sciurus carolinensis) recorded early afternoon on 23rd july, 2018. The animal was shaking its tail while calling from the trees, approximately, 3 metres from the ground. Recorded with sennheiser k6/me66 attached to a zoom h5. Editing was done with audacity, mainly to cut the worst of the road and aircraft noise. No noise reduction was been carried out. There is some road, aircraft and rail noise. There can also be heard woodpigeon, carrion crow, blue tit and some insects.

Soothing lake waves rolling onto beach with a bird call 3/4 through the clip. Not sure of the bird but it was grey and the size of a grey jay/whiskey jack/camp robber but a different spices as it had a black and white saddle on its back and a different head than a grey jay. I was not fast enough to get a photo of the bird. The sound was captured by a rode videomic on a cannon vixia hg20. I broke the sound out with corel videostudio pro 8 and saved the file. Recording of loud frogs in a small pond out behind my house in massachusetts. As near as i can figure from other recordings i've heard, these are eastern grey tree frogs. Crickets are also audible in the background throughout the recording, as is some background traffic noise. A peeper or two make cameo appearances as well.

A grey squirrel at the edge of a wood seemed quite upset and repeated called for about 5 minutes. I recorded the end of its calling. It is also my first attempt at recording sound with my camera (canon eos 550d). There turned out to be a fan noise with a slight clicking. I ran noise reduction in audacity to remove it and to help reduce the sound of traffic.

I wanted to escape the parade of our schützenfest, but suddenly i was in the middle of it. . . I was amused of the looks of these guys and how they wondered "what the hell is that grey furry in his hand?" but no-one was hero enough to ask me ;)well, the recording is a great one! but i guess i will never be that near to a marching parade again.
