There is a vent in my house that sounds fantastic when it rains. The drops hitting the tin cover sound almost like popping popcorn in this recording, but it's a more friendly sound in person. The rain outside is very much present in the background, but the bouncing raindrops are very easy to hear. Recorded on a windows x8 phone and left as-is. A simple recording of a metal drawer. Recorded with zoom h4n + sontronics stc-10 pencil condensors. This was recorded in my room so unfortunately the signal to ambient noise ratio isn't great, i think it's just passable though. The sound can be used for free (though it would be great to hear about what you do with it). It may not be re-distributed as it is, or as part of a compiled sound library.

This first loop in series is a simple, beat in 4/4 time run at 140 bpm. It features an extremely thick bass sound with general techno patterns you might hear in normal techno music. Nighttime construction sounds, recorded in oregon. No voices, just the sounds of trucks & equipment on a building site at 1am. You can hear the large running diesel engine trucks, forklifts and backhoes working.

There is nothing that sounds as refreshing as a soda can being opened and hearing the energetic bubbles. Open happiness and taste the feeling of coca-cola in this recording! the sound file includes the opening of a coke can, pouring into a glass, placing the can down, and drinking the soda.

This monstrosity is what i got when i attempted to add a reduce vocals effect to an episode of an old low-budget nickelodeon show from the 90s. I don't know why, but trying to apply this effect to it only gave me this horrific garble. Kinda like a messed up tape recorder or something, idk. City Ambiance sound effect. Great for a movie or game that is set in an inner city or downtown area. You can clearly hear cop or ambulance sirens in the background.

It's a recording of water boiling in a kettle. You can hear the electric gas ignitor, the ignition and then warming up. The water was already very hot so this wouldn't take forever to boil. Then the whistley does it's job. Rising, steady, then the gas was taken out and the whistle slowly fades away. Very long natural fade-out. Recorded with zoom h2. Edited and normalized with audacity.

Walking on wood floor, medium pace, dress shoes. You can hear mild traffic noises outside. Recording with mxl 990 condenser, mic near the floor, used x-hum and z-noise plugins to clean it up. As always, free to use for any reason or purpose, with one caveat. It must be used for good, and not evil :d.

An one minute narrated soundwalk describing sounds in west la near century city. I started on the edge of the block right outside the f&s fabrics on pico. I then walked south of the f&s and continued for a minute describing the sounds around me. I recorded this around the afternoon so i was able to hear the wildlife up and about.

A close-up stereo recording (3 meters) of a freight train idling then passing by. You can hear the train slowly accelerating more and more, until it is going by at very fast speeds. After the train has gone by, the train can be head in the distance. (sound was recorded using a mzr-700 md recorder and a sony ecm-ms907 microphone).

At the final section of the recording is heard the sound of an airplane flying across the sky. I used the zoom handy recorder h2 with internal microphones. Recording with a universal audio apollo x and sontronics stc-1 stereo matched pair with ortf config. Recorded on may 8, 2021, at 9:30 am. Time of day when there were more birds in this area. It is a true symphony of birds. Sometimes you hear people talking in the distance and lawnmowers.

This caught my attention as an unfamiliar sound, and i actually had to investigate to learn what it was. It was the raindrops hitting some styrofoam bodyboards near a swimming pool, which at times sounded almost more like a hollow "pop" than a "drip. ". Here we hear a german public bus approaching a snow-covered stop from the right, stop, and continue shortly thereafter. The engine is a prominent part of the recording. Towards the end, a second public bus passes in front of the mic in the opposite direction before the first one continues to the left towards the next stop.

Tennis ball bouncing on a tennis racket: in this sound you hear a tennis ball bounce on a tennis racket. At times the racket makes a metallic sound when the ball bounces off it. Recorded using the zoomh4n and the rode ntg1 condenser shotgun microphone. I added a low shelf and and 2 bands to try and make it sound less metallic at times. The ball used is a wilson ball and a wilson tennis racket.

A socket wrench ratcheted at an average speed. 2 more variations of this sound can be found in the same pack "tools". Those are at a slower and faster speed. Cc0, so no need to give credit. Here's some more of that young couple next door. They did a quick one, about 10 minutes or less. Sounds like they enjoyed it. Got some good loud sounds of the woman. There's a bit of the man too but hard to hear. The sex parts are from 1:45-4:40, 2:30 is when the woman starts to make loud moans. This was edit and shorten with audacity.

A boeing airplane taking off on november 12 from fort myers airport to columbus ohio. I thought this would be a good recording for freesound, so i thought i'd upload it. The recording was made in the town of kirkcaldy, scotland, next to a street on a seaside promenade. Street noises can be heard on the recording. Incoming motorcycle steadfast in the traffic light and departing. Hear passing cars and street sounds. I recorded it on the zoom h5 handy recorder. It was quite windy and the rain hit the windows really hard. The wind tinkled the lamp. I recorded this sound by positioning a rode nt1 a few decimeters away from the lamp. You can hear some talking in the background. Recommended audio edit: low cut at 30 hz and soft high cut (6db/oct)starting at 1. 5khz.
