This is the end of a heavy thunderstorm, at the beginning of the recording it is hearable the last thunder(unfortunatly). During the recording is possible to hear also some cars. The recording was made using a roland r05 mounted on a tripod facing to a hedge.

Finally, a month after i needed it for my last film, i got really good foley of a spectacular thunderstorm. Here's 10 min of the best part. I can't use it right now, but maybe others can. It contains steady, heavy rain with peals of thunder at various distances.

Pentax k1000 load film and shutter clicks. The first one with 1 second of exposure. The second one with 1/8s. The third and fourth - 1/125s. The last 2 clicks with 1/1000s. Recorded with h4n, 24/48.

All sounds synthesized in propellerheads reason's thor polyphonic synthesizer. Here's how i did it: used two oscillators (one noise oscillator and another multiple-wave oscillator), and then passed them through two different filters. In each filter, i lfo'd the frequency knob at 2. 0hz (120bpm), and the pattern you see above is each oscillator-filter combination muted in different ways. For the last sound, i applied a phaser effect and automated the frequency knob or some other knob to give that pitch-up pitch-down effect.

July 2013, rcording from setup pc in greenhouse. Extreme rain changing to hail (25 mm diamter)for a couple of minutes, then rain again. Last bit of recording is sound from pc fan. Did not cut it off, wanted to let listeners understand that i made a temporary installation in the greenhouse for capturing the immense noise.

I created a click track and got rid out the last two beats of each bar. I shortened the spaces between the first two beats of every bar. I then added a reverb effect and created another layer of brownian noise to even out the silence. I had this piano in the seventies. It was manufactured at italy and had this cheesy sound. The sound is very analog and is created with squarewaves. In the last year i bought it at ebay and repaired it. The sound had a lot of noise,so i resampled it and put it into my roland fantom,to get a better sound. This is the result. Have fun.

Metal thumpy toilet paper holder. I got a last minute laptop gig and had no samples with me- i needed some percussive sounds to tweak in ableton live. I headed to a public bathroom with my edirol r-09 and recorded lots of hits in the bathroom. This one was an -sounding metal toilet paper holder.

In the middle of a village is a waterconstruction going on. Workers open the street to get to a waterpipe. Here on freesound is a short version. The long version is on my yt channel world wide sound effects. I recorded with a zoom h1 last week.

Made a quick drum loops designed to have guitar, vocals, any mid range instrument or sound source sit nicely with it. Shaking a small glass bottle with oregano in it. The first half is shaking it with the lid on, the middle is shaking it into a plastic bowl, and the last part is shaking it into an empty ceramic bowl. Recorded with my lumix g7 camera with rode video micro attached to it.
