Grass cutting/trimming: city hall worker cutting grass with a noisy grass cutter/trimmer on a sunny day in a house zone, with a dog barking and birds chirping in the background. A haymaking course was done for the 25th time at ryghsetra near the town of drammen in norway. On saturday everyone could stay for a few hours, listening to two female performers singing and playing fiddle and banjo, watching a group of people mowing a meadow at the same time and socializing. I was showing my 1 year old my recording studio. He was laughing and talking so i recorded him to play it back. His reaction was as wonderful as i could have hoped. This was recorded in my home studio, on a cad e100s microphone. Recorded in audacity, i copied the clip, lowered the pitch, stretched, added reverb, and reversed the audio. I also normalized to -3db.

Used audition's noise removal tools to minimize audible background noise. While no others effects have been added, i would recommend using a hard limiter of around 10-20db for a fuller sounding bell. Gem pathescope 9. 5mm projector, unit #1191, made in england. Recorded on a marantz pmd661 with a rode nt4 stereo mike. The gem is a variable speed projector, controlled by a rheostat. Speed for this recording was unknown, but probably 5-10 fps. Microphone was facing the operational side of the projector, 50 cm away. Audio begins with power being turned on, ends with power being turned off. The speed variation during recording occurred naturally.
