290 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Nothing"

July 24, 2011 was a historic day in japan. After almost 60 years, tv analog signals were terminated. I just can't believe it. My tube now shows nothing but sand storm. All tv signals were switched to digital. The last vital sign was sent from nhk, and stopped. Recorded with marantz pmd661 and at835st.

I was out recording some sounds late one evening, and i randomly heard this, which i can assume is a gunshot. Not much processing was done to this sound, except some noise removal and pitch shift. Feel free to use this whenever, wherever, and however you want. This ain't called freesound for nothing. :).

Recorded under a long, dark, low bridge on my local canal. Me laughing. Slowed by 5% in audacity. The result? -a chilling, maniacal, evil laugh. Recorded late at night in fog - so it felt scary even to us. Recorded using a sennheiser mke300 'shotgun' mic. Cropped in audacity; and saved as aif file. It was saved. . . But nothing can save you! "muh, muh, muh ha ha haaaaa!".

Audio track from a video i made. The title is just an anagram of part of the original title and nothing to do with the video. The whole track was made by processing the original audio, (which was a female's voice) in a variety of ways.

This was made in serato studio, (although out of my usual comfort zone) it is edm, (i usually do house (or try to), dubstep, and dnb) and was made with nothing but drum kits, no automation, just drum kits. Simple, sad chords with an ambient drum pattern accompanying. I created this with logic pro x and a basic soft synth that come with the software. The drums have some effects from fabfilter's "timeless" plugin, and also some distortion, but nothing too fancy. This is my first sound contributed to the community so they'll hopefuly get more interesting as i improve, but feel free to use it as you wish.

There is nothing that sounds as refreshing as a soda can being opened and hearing the energetic bubbles. Open happiness and taste the feeling of coca-cola in this recording! the sound file includes the opening of a coke can, pouring into a glass, placing the can down, and drinking the soda.

Murmuration in ireland, on the electricity lines behind my house. Must have been at least one thousand starlings. In this you'll hear them tweeting etc and a whole bunch of them flying. Recorded in stereo on zoom h4n. Some low cut filtering used but nothing else. I have 13 continuous minutes of this so if you need more, just ask lol.

Several spitting noises recorded with the aim of getting a realistic sound and nothing besides spitting. I actually spit (not dry spitting) into a plastic bag. The impact on the plastic bag can be heard, but it isn't too bad. The first half is p-spitting and the second half is t-spitting (shape mouth is held in). A little bit of horking and squishing as well. Recorded with a shure sm58 in a treated room.

Alternate take of ye 'ole washing machine. It's just a washing machine, but could be a printing press or space ship or what ever else you can come up with !recorded from the bottom. Lowpass filter nothing above 500k. Ran a limiter on it -1 db so your speakers are safe!audio technica pro 37 24bit 44. 1 mono.

Mic set up near the pan while scrambled eggs were cooking. Loopable, this file is 2x. That quarantine mood when you're locked in your house and then ask your housemate, "hey this might sound weird, but can i record you cooking? the sound makes me happy". I dont have a nice mic bc i had to pack up so fast but i have my at2020 which is better than nothing.

I made this using two oscillators in native instrument's fm8 synth. There is nothing too fancy, just two sine waves played out the same output, but one has an offset of 440hz, and the second oscillator has an offset of 330hz. I then just played two notes that didn't sound too dissonant, and then ran it through some low-fi processing.

Searched everywhere for this sound and was astonished not to find it. Very basic slap of the bare palm over the opening of an empty glass bottle, while holding the bottle in the other hand. I don't have good equipment or environment, but i figured you all could use it anyway if there's nothing else out there. If i overlooked one feel free to link me in the comments. The high desert (6-thousand feet) of northern arizona, near flagstaff. Walking at midday with the sandy gravel and dry, stunted vegetation crunching. You will also hear the many locusts which seem to be present by the thousands in place. Big blue sky all around, and nothing but the steps, and the crunching of the ancient land. Recorded on october 17th, 2017 near flagstaff arizona. Equipment used: sony pcm-m10 using built-in stereo microphones. The gain on my recorder was at 6.

Go out and record some sounds wihtout labeling them, then bring them back and try to identify every sound you hear on playback. It's tough, but it's a good way to train your ears. Not really useful for anything, but just thinking of the people's faces when searching for something and running into this. . . Roller coaster- nothing really noteworthy about this recording. It’s just a nice wide stereo capture of an old style wood-frame roller coaster. I think there were only 2 or 3 people riding it as i did this recording, as it was a not-at-all busy weekday afternoon in the off season. We get a passing motorcycle at the very beginning, and then a distant plane just prior to the roller coaster. These owls were recorded around 8:30 at night in the shawnee national forest using my trusty rode ntg-2 on a mic stand. Even though it was a mild night and the insects and frogs should have been vocalizing, they weren't. It was kind of neat -- a dead-quiet night with nothing but these owls. If you thought that owls only do "hoot-hoot" you'll be surprised. After about a minute into it they really get going.

A hillside above the croatian coastal town of brela, in the afternoon, featuring crickets, some quiet background traffic, and nothing much more. File i recorded while at work on a telephone pole. I found a span of the steel cable they string between the poles that hold phone lines or cable lines. But this was just the bare span and nothing touching it. If you hit them with a wrench they make weird laser gun sounds. Recorded with my phone and cleaned up a bit in audacity. Use as you please. This wa maybe my first attempt at doing something that i would describe as steve reich-y (not knowing very much about steve reich) which is a method i got slightly obsessed with. Basically (for me) it was creating a short measure for a few instruments (apso uploaded here) but then layering them, slightly and increasingly out of time, so that they go out of phase and create a huge trippy musical canvas that you couldn't have predicted from the opening measure (well i couldn't, but i know nothing about music).

I turned on my recorder just after watching a movie on valentines day. The theatre wasn't packed but people were relaxed. I stood in the lobby for a while watching people getting ready for the next movie, then walked outside through the squeaky doors of the theatre and stood around people having a smoke and waiting for their ride home.
