I created another file to play when you don't recognise a telephone number that calls you, this time the people in the hoax have scottish accents and the music is deliberately degraded to make it scratchy, tinny and annoying. I was inspired by those nasty auto-switchboards you encounter now whenever you call anywhere, my thoughts were that if a spam caller conected to an auto-switchboard hopefully they would remove your number from their listings thinking it a business (most scammers and spammers only want to call residential numbers). Please enjoy using this to annoy the hell out of those bothersome spam callers. The music is royalty free for personal use.

Minimalism-ism by Marco Kalnenek. Marco Kalnenek [*1969] is a musician from Heerlen, the Netherlands. Kalnenek started playing the piano at age 9. His first band Foolish Behaviour was formed around 1982, when he started jamming and recording tapes with assorted friends. Hundreds of hours of music and other noises were recorded in the 12 years that followed. A few cassettes and cd-r’s were privately released and various tracks turned up on compilations, most notably on Comfort Stand Recordings and blocSonic. In the meantime Kalnenek started his own label, WM Recordings, in 2004. After years of relative inactivity Marco Kalnenek’s first official EP “If Not For” finally appeared in May 2013.

This is a plasma pulse engine for spaceships, hover bikes/ boards, etc. The engine starts up at 00. 000 ms. Then stage one starts at 02. 400 ms. Stage two at 04. 800 ms. Stage three at 07. 200 ms. Stage four 09. 600 ms. Then the engine shuts down starting at 12. 000 ms. To change "gears" set position to the stage start then play. To "run" in each stage loop from start time +. 144 to stage end time(next stage start time) -. 083. You may have to figit the numbers. I haven't actually tested any of this. I don't really program any more. But, in theory it should work.

This jump scare sound was created by playing 2 dissonant chords on a single coil telecaster mic'd up w/ a vox ac 10 amp. The two guitar tracks are panned left and right- reverb and delay are added. The delay tail you can hear oscillates between left and right speaker as it fades. Additionally, frequency enhancers were added between 4khz - 6khz which adds a higher tonal energy in the upper range of the guitar. Gain is added which can be heard as signal noise mostly at the end of the clip. Enjoy. Bainmack.

Using an or/gate-combiner to create a trigger-ish for quadra to react on. Analog delay and spring reverb. Why did i do this patch from the very beginning? when the voltage on x from sloth reaches a specific value a trigger is generated and i sample the value on y and uses to select pitch on an oscillator. Okay, i actually did make a rather horrorific sound, despite my slight dislike for the horror genre. I know. I contradict myself. Anyhow, this is actually the sound of me going up an escalator while i was at a conference. I came home later and didn't know what to do with the sound, so, out of boredom, i made this. By the way, that weird shriek at 1'46" was actually a young child who was running around somewhere in the building. This sound could be used for *contradiction!!* an atmosphere for a horror game or something like that. But don't try to make me play it, because i won't! okay, well maybe. Mangled with ableton live.

A 286 computer booting and running a self-test before reaching the os, then getting shut down through the button at the middle of the right corner of the case, including part of the monitor shutting down. Streets visited include rue des saules, rue norvins, rue du mont cenis, rue du chevalier de la barre, rue du cardinal guibert, rue azais, rue saint eleuthere, in that order. Drum: pearl sensitone steel 14" x 5. 5". Head: genera dry. Mic configuration: mono room, two overheads [spaced pair], batter head, reso head. I did basic eq cuts and boosts with some compression. No limiting used. Each articulation was carefully played and gain adjusted to seem as natural as possible. Here's some more of that young couple next door. For this one, they probably went 15+ minutes. Their libido must be really high for this day/night. From my listening, it seems like they were not doing it in bed the entire time. They must have used other furniture and played around in different positions. From 3:30 or even before that is when they start. Passed 5:00 is when the woman starts to moan loud. 14:55 is when they finish. 16:07 guy says i'm tired. Note that the original audio had more bed and furniture creak noises, almost 30 mins long, and some of their chats cut out. Also note that some of the noises left in on the good parts may not be sex noises. This was edit and shorten with audacity.

This is a recording of an escalator at the main bus station in helsinki, finland. I heard it making this sound one day. It was quite loud in the space and i heard if from far away. It sounded like a street performer playing an odd instrument. I imagined that a drummer would have had fun jamming along with this. I missed the opportunity to record it that week, but luckily the thing wasn't fixed the next week when i was again at the same place. This was recorded with iphone xr, so it's not super quality (i actually took a video really close to the escalator, hoping the video recording gives the best sound), but maybe somebody finds some use for this (the sound can likely be well isolated). This is as unprocessed as it can be, straight from the original video.
