This recording is really not great. But i really wanted to capture the frog jam. . . As i was listening i kept thinking about how frogs can teach us about rhythm and wondered if some indigenous or any people ever patterned drumming after frogs. . . These frogs are going to town. . . Hope you can at least hear some of their music on here. It was a full moon night and just by chance we found ourself in a pretty quiet park because of the rains before.

My goal has been to open any jar or bottle without assistance. Some of those are screwed on pretty tight, unlike, uhm, me. So i bought one of those squeezy things where you work against a spring, but, my hands are a bit too small to gain the necessary advantage. The alternative? a crush-able exercise ball. It's really working. I measure my progress, from time to time.

This is a long ride on one of san francisco's trolley cars, recorded on 08/25/2015. Evening, past rush-hour, so the trolley is pretty empty. There's some muffled talking on the driver's radio. Something went wrong on a mechanical device on top of the building that faces my balcony. I don't know what it is exactly (some fan. . . ) but the noise it produces is pretty theatrical. This is only a recording of me playing a djembe, recorded with a pair of nt1-a mics, but after messing around with some of logic's amp and resonator effects i ended up with this. The 6/8 groove reminded me of the doctor-who theme, and the interval displacement of a minor 6th i thought sounded pretty cool. You don't have to credit me, but if you use my sound i'd love to hear what you come up with!.

Just playing with the alesis vortex keytar i got at a garage sale for practically nuttin'. The guitar synth is revitar. And i ran it through amplitude. Timings a off and it sound fake. Okay if the sound you're going for is a drunk robot, i got you covered. Actually, i think a keytar and a good guitar synth would actually be pretty sweet. Best garage sale find ever. Better than that time i got all those pedals.

Audio from the artist paintpots in yellowstone. The hiss in the background is the constant float of steam from the ground along with the regular release of pockets of air from these odd little spitting mud holes. Pretty cool to see and producing a very unique sound. Not sure if it'll be useful for anything, but it was too cool to pass up. Again, sorry for the short duration; there was a lot of traffic and wind there. Recorded on a dslr and edited in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.

Two sennheiser g3 transmitters were set for the same frequency; one of them was transmitting a previous interference recording from my macbook p2 phone output, the other one had no input;the receptor was connected to loudspeakers; the interference would vary as i moved each transmitter around. I recorded the loudpeakers output through the macbook built-in microphone, on audacity. This is a specially noisy part i exported. Not a pretty sound, but may be useful.

I was looking for a sound in which a few high-pitched bells could be heard together with the spinning gears of the striking mechanism. I couldn't find a sound like that, so i made my own. The two bells are from a sample user 'nemodaedalus' uploaded (wuc_bell_high_and_low. Wav). I recorded the spinning gears myself. The sound comes from a 1920's junghans clock i saved out of a dumpster. It's pretty much broken, except for the striking mechanism.

Recorded this while going to the loo in a camping trip. The door was pretty creaky so i decided to record it because it could be a good sound effect. Of course i didn't have any equipment with me so the sound was recorded on my phone, which is why it's a bit echoey and shabby. Feel free to use however you please, you don't even need to credit me! :).

The clip was created using a synsonics "terminator" guitar with a built-in amp by running the output to my sound card and sound card's output going into to a secondary jack intended for headphones on the guitar. It created an interesting metallic noise, almost like a ring mod. . . There is a segment where i was poking the guitar's amp circuit board with my fingers which creates lots of grumbling/squelchy noises. . . The guitar is kind of crappy, but it makes a pretty neat noise synth! :b.

This is a first in a series of noises from machines. I work at a company that prints and packages things like decals and parts on cars. This is the noise of the printer making some sort of thumping noise, as it was broken at the time and hadn’t gotten to be fixed. If you’re wondering what hat terrible whirring is in the background, that is the combined noise of about a dozen large machines operating as well as the ac and it’s pretty commonplace there. Sorry about that, hope you can still use the recording anyway :).

Recording of clothes in the dry cleaner for a bit longer than one hour. I recorded this in order to use for my newborn to be able to fall asleep as white noise sound. Works pretty fine because of the repetition;at the end of the recording, the machine stops and restarts a few times for a few short cycles. Recorded with zoom h4n in mp3 format. Reduced background noise in audition. Exported to ogg because of large file size.

This was created with paul's extreme sound stretch program, my voice, and audacity. I whispered a couple of times into the microphone and slowed it down a good bit in paul's stretch program. The past two nights were very stressful and restless due to this crazy hurricane which has come to the balkans and has been terrorizing all the nearby cities. I thought it'd be a cool memory so i took out my zoom h2n and made this recording. Not the most pleasant thing to experience but pretty unforgettable anyway. Mode used: 2 ch (+2) | gain: 10.

A clean raw stereo recording of a about a thousand people chatting with each other. Almost no distinct dialogue, but a discerning ear would hear american english and iberian spanish. Recorded in stereo on an h4n. The microphone was positioned on the side of the crowd, but pretty close. Recorded in a big space with huge ceilings--would be suitable for a theatre, auditorium, rally, sports game, etc. , but an experienced editor might be able to make this into an outdoor scene as well. There might be minimal handling noise.

A tense but pretty still athmosphere created with a number of tools by me. Got some subtle movement in it and consists of several major parts. This record is done near court yard at russia where children plays. Summertime. Cars are passing by, sometimes frogs are croaking in the pond near by, and once helicopter flies past pretty low. You guys are probably wondering why i haven't been posting many sounds for the last month well number one so i can upload a lot of sounds at once and two i have been pretty busy with track and play practice. So now here is a bunch of sounds that were created by me either covering up or bumping my mic which i hope you will enjoy.

Street noises and atmosphere from a walk up first ave and across 14th street, east village, nyc. Including one very loud siren that goes from left to right. Includes a quick pop-in to the quiet lobby of the post office. I'm pretty happy with the recording overall, but the road noise sometimes sounds a bit muddied.

While i was on vacation, this two fellas just loved to bark almost all night long. Yeah, i know, some rest i got. . . :(so, at least i went out and recorded them with my zoom h6, xy mics, 44khz 16bit. They got pretty upset as you can see. There's some low frequency rumble at the beginning probably due to bad handling, sorry. Should be easily solved with a lo-cut, though.

Recorded from my apartment, second floor. This starts with a few bolts of lightning during the end of a typical early summer afternoon and ends up on a pretty huge thunderstorm including hail. I wish i could have recorded more but the storm was getting so important, i had to close my window.

I walked through my neighborhood on july 4th, and many people were setting off fireworks outside their houses, so i recorded it. It was pretty chaotic. I walked through a park, which had a wet ground that you can hear me making my way through in some parts of this audio. Numerous fireworks go off, close and far, with crackles, sharper bangs, and more. You can also hear people yelling in the distance. Use this how you like, i do not need credit.

Line samples from a casio ap-45 on the default grand piano patch. Samples every c and g from c2 through to c9 with a short sustain. Velocity is pretty aggressive and it doesn't sound quite in tune to my ear. Feels like it's a little bit out. You may want to tune these yourself, if you plan to use them for anything significant. Minimal post processing on these. Just enough to get them roughly even in terms of overall volume.

The voices are pretty good in the free version (which i used for this), but i've read that the premium voices are better. Still, some of the free ones are really good. Use this piece as you want, but i would appreciate credit for it if you're going to post the work you do. Please leave comments on anything i've done here.

This is for a video game i was making, but i figured it would be a good idea to share this with everyone. This is supposed to be the sound of a wooden container being violently smashed open, such as a barrel or a box, or even possibly a wooden wall. I borrowed a few sounds from the site, tweaked a little of course, and also added some powerful white noise effects to indicate a hard smash. With some layering with twigs cracking and pieces of wood falling on the floor, i think it sounds pretty authentic. . . Or as authentic as it can get!.

A field recording made as i walked on the north side of bloor st w, near shaw street in toronto on the evening of 29 may 2011. This is a commercial strip with many ethiopian bar-restaurants, outside of which men gather to smoke and have conversation. You can hear some of these as we pass along bloor, as well as the conversations of other passers-by. These sounds are pretty typical of this section of bloor on a fine spring evening. Recorded with a roland r05 and accessory stereo directional microphone.

I made a project in cubase which had 12 tracks each playing a sine wave in a different note of the chromatic scale, each sine wave also had slightly varied lfos on volume and pitch. Then i put this sound through the soundtoys crystallizer plug and recorded it while manipulating various parameters. Ended up with 3 minutes of crazy glitched out sounds, use for anything you like!. It gets pretty out of control at some points so don't have your speakers up too loud :).

I recorded a pretty gnarly storm on 8/25 around 1:30 am. The cars are off the road but you still get that city reflection. I placed two rode nt5s in my living room windows and set them to record for about nine minutes. It wouldn't be great for an outdoor situation but it's a good "thunderstorm from an apartment in the city" recording. It's in 16 44. 1, stereo. Use it for whatever you want, no credit needed. -jp.

Recorded from the window of my attic flat in walkley bank, sheffield. This is the moment of new year's day 2021. You can hear a small amount of children in the background and one child suddenly shouting "happy new year" and scaring the bejesus out of me at about 3 minutes. I change position at 1 minute 30 (pretty much climbing entirely out of the window) and you get a much more impressive surround sound feel after that. There's also a huge explosion right at the end that is definitely worth waiting for.

Jemaa el-fnaa is one of the biggest squares in africa, and is one of the most vibrant places i have ever visited. Each time of day brings a very different energy, and one will find snake charmers, musicians, dancers and stands selling pretty anything you could think of. Although busy during the day, jemaa el-fna is swarmed with people at night and can quickly become overwhelming. This recording is from february, 2020, using a tascam dr-05x.

A recording of a shower door, i used this sound through izotope iris 2 to produce a low, slow bassy kick sound, for a pretty ambient piece i did. I don't know why i became fascinated with the shower door. Bathroom time can be surprisingly pensive, so perhaps the sound of the door shunting shut became associated with that introspective space for me. Yes, i am aware that this the second bathroom sound i have shared. This may take on a certain significance given the fact that i have only shared a handful of recordings, but i encourage you not to read too deeply in to this fact.

I recorded some rain outside my front door. This is a tuned (a440) sample which you can use to achieve a sort of soft-yet-textured synth string sound in a virtual instrument like ableton's sampler. I think adding a little fake vibrato to it with multiple conflicting volume lfos sounds pretty nice. You're free to use this sound without attribution. Pretty cool vocal i made for my dubstep track. Maybe someone else might find it useful as well. :)it's loopable, but i left a bit of space at the end for the reverb, so you might want to chop it first, if you're going to loop it. 140 bpm, e minor (probably). Btw i'd be really happy, if you show me what you made with this, but that's fully optional. :d.

This sound is created with two sounds that i recorded at the university. First, the sound of the zip of the pocket and then the falling keys sound. First of all, i cut the two fragment,from two different track, that i wanted for my mix. After, i first worked on the zip sound, which was pretty bad recorded but, after reduced noises, all seemed better ! i made the same thing for the other sound, the falling keys one. Then i ad the last one at the end of the first one, mix a little bit to make the two sounds seemed natural together. After, i normalized the track. At the end, i saved and export my track !.

My keurig coffee maker has been sounding a little rough so i decided to record it with my zoom h1n this morning as it made me a cup of coffee. It's the entire cycle with the general noise of a kitchen. Mainly you can hear my 20 year old fridge humming in the background during the quit parts of the keurig cycle. Don't plan on using it for anything, so have fun with it. The audio from when the coffee starts to pour into my cup is on the left side, so that was pretty cool to listen too on the headphones when i played it back.

Results from running randomly-generated neural networks (all weights in neuron connections start random and then slowly drift when generating). Although sample rates used are 44. 1 and 48 khz, sounds pretty lo-fi. The reason could be input compression needed for network to actually work. Each sound channel is an output from two separate neurons in the network. Each sample in this pack is generated by a separate network, as they wasn’t saved anywhere after they produce a thing. Global parameters (output compression, neuron count, drift rate etc. ) aren’t the same from sample to sample, too.

I had a little job which involved a cat drinking. . But first i had to record the bowl being put down. . . I placed the bowl down a few times - captured with correct room sound required. . To my amazement my cat decided to do somethign useful and actually came up to the bowl and started drinking the water. . . . . . Unfortunately i wasnt close mic'd - but my little booth is pretty quiet. . . . So thankyou oscar! you finally got a job to help pay for all those biscuits! technically he was no where near the large diaphragm cap mic , focusrite pre or motu 2408 :p.
