This was recorded as part of a tracking shot for a project i did a few years ago. It starts off from the exterior of a fancy london pub around the primrose hill area, walking in to a fairly packed establishment. It tracks movement into different parts of the pub. There's fairly prominent music for the first half but it eases off to barely audible later on in the audio. A few minutes in, you'll hear the bartender announce the price (6. 95) a couple of times. Recorded on zoom h6 with x/y capsule.

Completely made in sony sound forge 10 with the fm tools. Starts off with a sine 6,000 hz to ~12,000 hz in about three seconds to emulate a camera flash warming up. For those who intend to use it as a part of a futuristic weapon in games, flashes, or movies, i also added a double beep as a "weapon ready" cue and final tone at the for an optional "locked on" which could also double as an error beep.

The sound of birds and distant thunder awoke me from a long nap, and so i sprung off the couch and grabbed my recording equipment, dashing outside just in time to record the arrival of a thunderstorm. Over the course of this clip, the storm gets closer and closer, until it starts to rain with increasing intensity. The clip is nicely unmolested by wind, and contains a nice background of birds. A tremendous thunderclap is featured in the middle, three minutes in.

My keurig coffee maker has been sounding a little rough so i decided to record it with my zoom h1n this morning as it made me a cup of coffee. It's the entire cycle with the general noise of a kitchen. Mainly you can hear my 20 year old fridge humming in the background during the quit parts of the keurig cycle. Don't plan on using it for anything, so have fun with it. I recorded the sound of my wooden, squeaky screen door opening and then bouncing shut with a couple bangs. You can hear the squeak of the hinges as the door is opened, then again as it starts to close. The stretching and retraction of the spring is slightly noticeable. The door bounces a couple times as it closes, and you can also hear the latch rattling at this time. Recorded with audacity on my computer using a cheap, hand-held piezo mic. The sound of an electric car being plugged in and recharged. The clip starts with the car's recharging flap being opened from inside the car, then fully opened by hand, then the plastic socket cover being opened, then picking up the charging connector and plugging it into the car. Needed the exceptionally specific sound of putting an old book into an old hiking backpack. This is that sound. The audio starts with the engine at idle and includes a few engine revs at different rpms. You can hear some turbo whistling and also some rattling of god-knows-what parts. It's a little muffled (kind of a muddy sound), but could be used as part of an action sequence or with a music track laid over. I'm at the corner of 5th and kansas not far from kair 93. 7fm studios. This sound starts with the band from part1 departing and a truck passing. Children talk and yell and a man yells something. Another band approaches. A woman seems to tell someone to say cheese in the distance. The file ends when the band gets a bit too loud for my microphone. Recorded with goldwave with an asus laptop in my backpack and a microsoft lifecam3000 poking out of it facing behind me clothes-pinned to one of the handles of the pack. Unfortunately microsoft no longer supports their lifecam apps so it's not possible to turn down the internal mic gain.

This is a very quick and dirty lo-fi recording of a very unsettling noise i am currently hearing outside of my 2nd story bedroom window. I have no clue what it could be. I have lived here for over a decade and never heard this sound. It's like wind, but it keeps fading in and disappearing again. When it starts, it sounding like very rapid, almost whistling, shallow breathing. I can't imagine what is making this sound, but it's pretty unnerving, and i'm too creeped out to open the curtains. I'm hoping someone can recognize this and tell me what this is because i'm starting to get very uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of hearing this on and off again. I am attempting to record it as it happens, so i've got several recorded instances of this if you want to hear more of it.

This is one of those sound effects you kind of go "huh?" about when you hear. Let me explain what this is and how i imagine it being used. To me, it sounded like a good sound effect for when a computer (whether in a game or animation or whatever) screen starts writing down text (in other words, when a message is displayed on a screen and is written down one letter at a time until the complete message is shown). There are two versions here. The first one fades out (to be used a single time), and the second one is loopable (so you can loop it to make it last longer). Stereo ambience of people passing by at the kulturforum in berlin. This is a large open concrete space next to the berlin philharmonic hall. It's a warm summer evening and the berlin philharmonics have just finished an open air concert. The recording starts about 15 minutes after the end of the concert while everyone is leaving the place, maybe about 1000-1500 people. The crowd is generally in a happy and talkative mood. There are lots of international folks and tourists, so you'll not only hear german, but also english and lots of other languages. After six minutes or so there is also a police siren in the background. Recorded with a zoom h6 (xy mics). In the same pack there is also a second recording starting directly at the end of the concert with people applauding. It is can be found here.

Zoom h4n 2018 - onboard microphones. This recording is 17 full minutes of ambiance from inside an in-n-out fast food restaurant. This in-n-out is located in downtown burbank, california located at 761 n 1st st, burbank, ca 91502. The great thing about this recording is that it's free of all music that would invalidate the recording due to copyright restrictions. In-n-out, unlike other fast food chains, does not allow music in their dining rooms. This is because most in-n-out locations are so busy and constantly loud, the addition of music would create an unbearable sense of mayhem. So, rest assured you may use this ambiance in your project with no restrictions!. The beginning of the recording starts during a busy lunch hour. The sound is coming from the fans of a server. By pulling out one of the fans, all other fans turn up to 100%. The microphone is located above the air duct exactly in the middle of the case and thus between two fan fronts. The soundfile starts with the fans on standard speed. After a few seconds the fans turn up to 100%. I left them there for a few seconds and then quietly plugged the removed fan back in. This fan now also switches to 100% - this is the single, delayed "speed up" that can be heard from second 35. About 10 seconds later, all fans return to normal speed. Unfortunately, a colleague came in at that time and ended up talking into the recording. A peaceful ambiance of some pine trees in early, early spring. The predominant, lower-pitched background is the strong south wind blowing through the tops of healthy pine trees. . . An unwavering "swooshing" that cuddles and curls around the flexible, thick-resin-filled pine needles. Also, from time to time, you hear the sound of the wind rattling some dead and brown oak leaves; oak leaves which are still stubbornly hanging on to their parent tree. I purposely did only a very bare minimum of post-processing on this sound so as to keep it as realistic as possible. Yes, there are quite a few wind rumbles that i toned down just a little bit. I did not totally get rid of the wind rumbles. I did this on purpose so you the true feeling of " being there " on that mild, but still raw cold day of spring could still be felt. At 4:35 into the soundscape the trilling of a pine warbler is heard---a warble of warm-sounding notes fighting back stubborn winter. I recorded the last part of my travel to work, the first day after my vacation. Inside the train my recording equipment (soundman digital recorder dr2) generates a lot of digital noise – more than usual. Interesting. Therefore i upload from when the commuter train stops at gothenburg central station and the doors open and i walk away from the station. The digital noise is there all the time but just less audible. In the beginning of the sound file you hear the noise clearly. Don’t buy this little recorder… (it has a sigmatel recording chip. ). In the frequency analysis, and spectral view, i notice peaks at about 800 - 950hz, 7850 - 8350hz and 16100-16450hz. I guess this is part of the digital noise. Tried to eq this away with spectral edit. This did not improve the sound. The noise has a wider spectrum. Tried to download the “latest” firmware at www. Soundman. De. Had to open command prompt and use unzip to extract the files. What?! but the firmware downloader does not detect the “device”. I doubt there is a new firmware anyway. This repeats over and over until the crosswalk changes to green, at which point there is a two-second trill tone followed by a repeating bell tone. The bell tone is one bell, followed by two bells, repeated four times, followed by a very brief pause, and then the sequence is repeated again. In front of my desk in my room is a wood paneled wall with a cubbie. It's about a foot wide, 10 inches from top to bottom and maybe 7 inches deep. I'm just guessing. Around this cubbie is a border of wood. In the bottom right corner under the border i have jammed one end of an elastic string that used to have glitter on it. It's from a christmas box of chocolates my uncle sent me last year. I stand in front of this cubbie whose bottom is at chin height, (i'm only 5ft1in) so my arms are above my head as i pull this string across the cubbie to the border on the left which acts as my only fret. The string is a few inches longer than the cubbie is wide, but when i pull it it gets longer so my hand is 3/4 along it's length as i pull back and forth across the border to tighten and loosen the string. No matter how hard i pull it never pops loose from it's mooring. The recording starts with me standing up from my chair. In the last part beginning at 02:34 i am playing about 75° from horizontal across the top border of the cubbie on the left so it sounds buzzy and african again, and i'm just going crazy goofing around with a crazy bluesy rock sort of rhythm. Patch walkthrough. The patch starts with the qu-bit chance providing discrete random values (sample and hold) going into an instruo harmonaig. This takes the stepped random voltages and quantizing them to a given scale. I put in the notes c d eb f g ab bb which is a c natural minor scale, the relative minor of eb major (for anyone that's curious). However like most of my modular work i didn't actually tune the oscillators to anything specific. So treat the scale as a pattern of intervals not a set of specific notes. The quantized notes then form 4 voice chords giving us a root, third, fifth and seventh cv output that will be diatonic following the scale pattern, meaning the third will be major or minor, the seventh major, minor or dominant and the fifth natural or diminshed to suit the scale. With the 4 quantized outputs on the harmonaig these all go into the four oscillators on the synthesis technology e370 quad morphing vco. Each of the e370 oscillators are in the basic morph xy mode using the built in rom b set of wavetables. Wavetables are modulating by various mixes of the befaco rampage, mutable instruments tides, wmd multimode envelopes and music thing modular turing machine. The modulation sources are mixed and split with multiples and mixers. These modulating wavetables then go into a bubblesound vca4p where i'm using 4 mk1 intellijel dixie oscillators all un-synced and free running with sine wave lfos. Each lfo freely fades the voice in and out of the vca4p. As this is unsynced there's no regard to pitch changes linked to changes in amplitude and the swells. I find splitting the gate/rhythm from pitch regarding sequencing to be a freeing and interesting way to work that's not available on traditional instruments. This is just a simple application of that idea with the lfos fading freely unrelated to the other modulation or sequencing of pitch. The sound then goes from the vca4p mix out into a befaco mixer and praxis snake charmer which the output section of the larger case and i'm sending a 'pre' auxiliary out into my fx case. The dry sound first goes into the erica synths fusion delay / flanger vintage ensemble which is giving me short modulated delays giving vibrato like sounds and pushing the input level and overdrive gives us some warmth and grit that thickens up the sound and also fills in the gaps left by the free running lfos pulling quieter sounds and compressing in the on board tube. This then outputs to the feedback 1 bit multitap delay module which has it's delay chip pushed to longer times for some added crackle and noise. I'm using the two delay taps for a shorter and longer delay with little feedback to mix the dry sound for a generally noisier and smeared version of the input. This then goes into the xaoc devices kamieniec with it's on board lfo as slow as possibly for a mildly resonant phase shifting. This goes into mutable instruments clouds set to sew random grains slowly and randomly which are pitch shifted up 2 octaves to fill out some high end flourishes against the closed chord voicings at the core of the patch. Finally this goes into a long lush reverb from the halls of valhalla card in the tiptop audio z-dsp. The stereo fx chain and the mono dry signal are mixed in the befaco hexmix and recorded as a mixed stereo file. I'd consider this to be the main 'reel'. However i split the dry signal and the fx only wet stereo signal and recorded those at the same time so you can choose which reel to use and experiment with dry/wet or blended sounds from this patch.
