I recorded this sound at the nagarhole tiger reserve in karnataka, india. The sound is recorded on my iphone 12 pro using the dolby on app. There are unfortunately some minor unwanted sounds in the recording caused by things like someone moving in their seat. But it’s a nice ambient recording to use if you are able to edit around it. The recording was done at 7:30am.

I recorded my voice while playing freelance horror games; scp-087-b and slender sanatorium. This was so i could get genuine reactions to use as stock voice clips for future use. Some pretty interesting stuff came out. This is when the first "thing" that happens when you start, like hearing the first creepy sound or grabbing your first note.

Whilst sitting outside a starbucks in hollywood, ca, i took notice of a man talking/arguing to a half-empty bottle of coca-cola. What ensued was about 26 minutes of stream-of-consciousness homeless speak. Some of the more coherent passages were about gambling debts in reno, nv. I'm still wrestling with the morality of recording these kinds of things.

This is me playing around with my various string instruments. I decided to try to create a creepy string texture-ish sound, but it came out sounding like a haunted string orchestra. I hope you like it. I used a foot-long violin, a full-sized violin, a ukulele, and my father's home-made frettless banjo-thing.

A mid-sized waterfall flowing into a gentle stream. This is near the road by the grand prismatic spring in yellowstone. The timbre of this smaller fall is higher than the roar of the large waterfall. And you can just make out the gurgling of the stream. But, in general, this kind of thing sounds a bit like static. Sorry it's so short, there was a lot of wind and people talking. Things may be closed but tennis courts still work, and she was dressed for it. The hallway we walked through after, was empty. A lot of them are lately, we used this one. "after" was that once she finished, the visible front door gave her pause. I wasn't done, so we continued with her chest on a desk in the first open room we came to. More daylight in there, too. From the hallway we wouldn't have been seen. I decided not to tell her about the mixed-gender group of five that gathered at the window for a while, nearly two meters away to intently watch us making more of these sweet penis-in-vagina sounds, gathered by my phone, edited in audacity. This is a recording of the doppler heart monitor that doctors use to check out baby's heart during pregnancy checkups. This was was made on february 28, 2007 at sutter in berkeley, ca by plugging my marantz recorder into the doppler instrument. There is a bunch more that is my wife's and the baby's intermingled (with the recorder plugged in we had no way to monitor), but this is the section that has the fetus isolated. If anyone is interested in the whole thing, let me know and i'll put it up.

Fire alarm as used in sunderland royal hospital. This damn thing was tested over a dozen times, whilst i was sitting in the urology department waiting to have the p***taken out of me. I happened to be testing the voice recording capabilities of my sansa clip zip mp3 player, at the time. I'll think you'll agree this is exceptional quality for such a tiny microphone and only minimal background noise removal.

This is a clip which contains the background audio which i need enhanced. I can't quite make out all the words, but i do know that the words "rapin him" are said, and the name "carter", and "positive thing". When i recorded this clip, i put the conversation on a loop, trying to make it easier to edit it while i listened, but i still can't make it all out. Good luck.

One morning i woke up and found i had a mouse/rat trapped, but still alive. It was making squeaking sounds, so i recorded them, edited out the noise as much as i knew how to, and amplified the whole thing. The mouse was disposed of shortly afterward. Poking around in my grandmother's barn - building is approx 140 years old and filled with old tools, furniture and other random things. Recording consists of a lot of rusty metal scrapes and thumps, footsteps on old wood, doors etc. Recorded on a hand-held sony pcm-d50. I've edited out the worst of the wind and other artifacts of my sloppy recording technique, but there may be some still in there.

This is a sound i created by using three different things. I recorded my bathroom fan and altered the pitch, added a few cents and overlayed them at 50%, and added a band-pass filter. I also recorded batteries rolling across the bottom of a drawer, lowered the pitch a bit, and added a high pass filter. And then lastly i added some wind that i created by blowing into my hands. That i did not adjust at all. It sounds just like a thunderstorm.

This is a seamless loop of a semi-rare instrument called the ukelin, out of tune and played incorrectly on purpose. It was given to me as a gift today and i had to sample this thing. This is before i tuned it, bowed across the strings you're expected to pluck and strumprocessed with dmg channel comp, voxengo elephant, internal daw eq, and valhalla room. Multiple loop sections overlayed/crossfaded relooped, then overlayed, crossfaded and relooped again.

Acoustic snare sample ripped from the stock fruity loops loop "pendulus" mixed in with a click transient from a free goldbaby sample pack. Resampled and compressed multiple times. Tape saturated. My goal has been to open any jar or bottle without assistance. Some of those are screwed on pretty tight, unlike, uhm, me. So i bought one of those squeezy things where you work against a spring, but, my hands are a bit too small to gain the necessary advantage. The alternative? a crush-able exercise ball. It's really working. I measure my progress, from time to time.

I steve reiched a 'tune' i made with the celeste sample from my edirol orchestral plug-in and i think it makes good atmospheric music for a variety of things, depending on where you are in the track. It only really gets going from about 1:35 but after that i think it makes good fairy tale, horror, meditation, relaxation and mystical/cosmic soundtracks.

Recorded at tea, a museum in santa cruz de tenerife. I was invited by dancer masu fajardo to create some sound ambients for a dance piece she was doing there, we decided to use only the sounds being created by her body and her interactions with the space. Here we can hear her stepping on a floor that's been previously filled up with salt. It's very subtle but works great as sime sort of glitch or crackle, if that's your thing. Recorded with a zoom h4 n.

I was wondering how to make a glitch soynd since i was downloading a lot of that. Ended up making this beat type thing. ( needs compression). I recorded my self saying "how the f%%k do i make a glitch sound!?" i reversed the f word for censorship. Then it use the mix modulation function in caustic's modular synth to modulate it with a 909 beat & a 8bit synth sound.

Found a half-broken wind-up rotating christmas tree music box. . . Thing. . . Raw 24/96 ms recording; be sure to decode before use. Left channel is mid, right is side. To do this manually you should separate the channels to two mono tracks, duplicate the side track and invert the duplicate. Pan the side tracks hard left and right, and mix with the mono mid channel. Or use a plugin to do it for you :d.

A game style sound effect for when a player receives a power up - or at least that's what it was intended for, but it could also be used for other things, too. Have fun using it!. Generated 10 minutes of white noise, applied some eq and what i may call stereo expansion, and got this thing that should be good enough to be used as an ambient sound for cold weather or polar wind. Many of the sounds i have found here and elsewhere, have other noises and/or were created through other methods like blowing.

This is a first in a series of noises from machines. I work at a company that prints and packages things like decals and parts on cars. This is the noise of the printer making some sort of thumping noise, as it was broken at the time and hadn’t gotten to be fixed. If you’re wondering what hat terrible whirring is in the background, that is the combined noise of about a dozen large machines operating as well as the ac and it’s pretty commonplace there. Sorry about that, hope you can still use the recording anyway :).

The past two nights were very stressful and restless due to this crazy hurricane which has come to the balkans and has been terrorizing all the nearby cities. I thought it'd be a cool memory so i took out my zoom h2n and made this recording. Not the most pleasant thing to experience but pretty unforgettable anyway. Mode used: 2 ch (+2) | gain: 10.

The office chair is a usual one with wheels and black, but been fixed and soldered and painted a lot for over 2 years (don't khow how long this chair was being used by the previous owner. To get the sound i just sit on it, put my phone on a tripod using the apk easy voice recorder pro by digipom, and then started moving with my feet trying for 30 minutes to get interesting sounds out of it, sometimes falling to get one continuous sound, but i never did that so my experience and technique is lacking also i dind't edit in audacity i just recorded send to email and uploaded here. The thing is that i got as a gift from a family friend and me and my dad soldered that thing probably 6 times to fix the sounds,pieces falling off, me geting in the ground after the entire base broked!( i wished i could show the picture in the center down of it) so before i went ahead to fix it again, i decided after talking to friends if i should record and upload, so here it is!. I hope is useful somehow to someone, now i can feel more at ease in repairing this chair again.

Here are the sounds i recorded:- the "loose parts" sounds were a slightly unscrewed valve on a trumpet. - the hydraulic leg-lifting noise was a hatch door opening on a van. - the metal foot hitting the ground was me banging on a metal garage door. - the humming engine noise (it's quiet) was a roll of duct tape spun on a wooden board. - the various other clanks and pops were the same trumpet noises, just edited a bunch. One day while playing the mobile game crossy road, i my sound being used for one of the characters. If you end up using my sound, let me know! i'd love to know what kind of things it's being used in. This is called "three-legged robot walker with loose parts" because it was a foley assignment for my sound design course years ago. This was one of the obscure things the professor gave the class that we had to interoperate and create using only our own recorded/edited foley effects. The class voted on the best one, and mine turned out to be the winner.

50 claps made in blok modular from scratch. Supposed to sound very unrealistic/dry/drum machine-like as possible so you don't have to sample the real thing. Some of these use asymmetric waveshaping which adds dc offset (0 hz noise) so you may want to highpass the crustier ones.
