I heard music of justin bieber in a house nearby. I do not know what song title it was. I heard birds cawing from time to time in the skies above me. It's a part of my pack "sickness". Sounds i recorded while being sick. I got a virus infection resulting in elevated body temperature, lack of strength, cough, running nose and sneezing. Check the title for what is in this particular recording. Recorded with zoom h2 on a mic-stand @ 96khz/24-bit. All the sounds in this pack are raw (unprocessed) they were truncated and converted to flac (both using audacity) but not normalized, with original 24-bit precision - turn them up as you need, denoise if you have to, cut out what you want. This is a processed soundscape originating from two seperate soundscapes; one during a winter night near a hill and one at a basketball practice. The title of the piece originates from the fact that in this piece i try to create this feeling of coming in and out of “reality”, that illusion that sometimes we are watching distantly or from another reality with yet some other moments that we are being really in the moment. The whole feel of the piece sounds to me the most part dystopian, however anyone can have different interpretations of sounds just as we all have different perception and associate various sounds to different things.

Made from taking two large atx (the form factor, the chassis) computer panels (that i havent used in quite some time), rubbing the entirety of them together quite brashly (one is on the ground), keeping the recorder on xy setup in my other hand in unison then dropping them onto each other. Inside of reaper, i begin changing the rate and pitching them down and applied saturation, distortion and reverberation gave them a very clean effect of a decrepit gate shutting down. Good for trapping your enemies in a battle to the death for which the title is inspired from; one of those tension moments a person in a film/game finds themselves in.

Xy stereo recording from gärdet subway station in stockholm. This focuses on an older trains doors, various steams and similar "heavy" sound elements. In post: edited in pro tools with som bass cutting (eq) and automation to make some sounds stand out but still sound realistic. Put on a light compressor and pich-shifted down some elements to give more depth. This was in someway inspired by "dead space" tram and door sounds but slightly less "massive" and haunting. Ps. There's 2 versions of this recording. The one with "nr" in the title is noise reduced so sounds like the doors and steam are somewhat separated from the background. Hope you like it.
