123 Royalty-Free Audio Tracks for "Turntable"

From a sample set made in 2003 using vinyl records on a motor-less (i. E. Hand driven) turntable. All sounds in this set are less than 1 sec long, so can be good for percussion hits, sfx, etc.

A repetitive beat created by scratching into the lock groove of a vinyl record and recorded. Sounds further filtered and modified in ableton. Made for a demonstration at loyola high school for a music appreciation course.

Noise that sounds similar to vinyl crackle, made with serum. The preview on this sound really doesn't do it justice.

In an attempt to add warmth to my productions, i sampled some of the more distinctive sounds mostly from the lead-ins and lead-outs from dirty/scratched records. If shortened, they make for interesting _analog_ glitch noises.

Recording 10" shellac discs released by polydor with "double-horn" logo, playing on the turntable called phonia on regular 78 rpm speed. Recorded with zoom h4 recorder with a stereo pair of microphones in an xy set. Recording is not cleaned, edited software audicity - normalization and gentle equalization.

A few years ago, while experimenting with the newly release "gross beat" effect plugin, i stumbled over a possible way the "transform" up and "transform" down sounds were designed/made in the mid 80's --the chief mechanic is i believe a "spin" down with a turntable for starters. . . Here is "up".

This sample was created by taping a razor blade to a contact microphone and allowing the blade to scrape against the edge of a record spinning on a turntable. The reverb was added in real time, so there's not a dry signal recording. Very reminiscent of tg's "hamburger lady" in some ways. Sounds like a human voice almost.

This is an old gramophone with a 78rpm vinyl-record. The sounds include the winding-up, the placement of the needle, crackle-noise and other surface sounds of the vinyl, lifted-up needle and the sound of the vinyl record-player stopping. Recorded in stereo on a zoom h4 handheld recorder.

I started recording a vinyl lp into my computer before realising that i hadn’t set the anti-skate properly and the needle was stuck in the lead-in groove. I trimmed this bit of snap crackle n’ pop and kept it in the hope that it might be useful for me or anyone else. Have fun.

This is a classic hip-hop sound made by playing a snare forwards then backwards, with a hi-hat from the same sample played the same way for added effect. Drum sounds are from an old-school soul sounding drum break i found on soulseek. I created this in ableton.

Stopped in a tiny museum in kansas and the curator turned on the 1900s edison photograph for me and let me record the classic sound of music with all the hums and associated scratches. The music sounds like an old turn of the century carnival to me. Recorded on my cellphone and cleaned up in audacity. Production-now. Com - shout-outs welcome.

A continuous blank record groove running almost 22 minutes in length. This is from the unused backside of a 1961 test pressing made for a commercial release on the mgm record label. Nothing is looped or enhanced in any way. The final 28 seconds of the file is the stylus riding in the lock groove near the label. I'm currently working on some musical ideas for a good friend's cartoon series and thought i'd upload this little experiment with an old vinyl of some mozart. I recorded the output of my deck and messed with the speed and pitch, as well reversing the audio and adding some distortion and other effects once it was in my daw.
