This is a sound that i've made with my mouth and hands :) and gave it some filters to make it look a little bit more sci-fi.

A medieval battle horn.

Basically a spaceship hyperdrive/warp drive engine or whatever. Includes spin-up, engine drone, and spin-down. Feel free to loop/extend the engine drone portion for as long as needed (it's completely loopable). I didn't create originally all of the bits of this, all i can say is that some of them were created by our very own frresound. Com member unfa (http://www. Freesound. Org/people/unfa/). I took these, and combined them with some sounds i made in audacity, and made what you have here.

This is an ambient sound made from brown noise. Used reverb to dampen the noise. Processed using audacity. This is suitable for desert ambient, inside of a ship, empty airport, and other ambients you may hear. Have fun!.

An alien doomsday device sound made with a synthesizer.

It's a alarmingly atmosphere. It's normalized, with fade in, fade out, paulstretch effect.

This is from a recording session trying to create laser weapon sounds. I just used the same technique as ben burtt used in wall-e (with the slinky and the contact mic). This is unprocessed, no eqs, compression, reverb or anything was added. I used a long piece of curled up aluminum wire which i hung from a tall structure at my house and the main object i used to oscillate the wire was a drum stick. For the recording i used the blue icicle and recorded into reaper. The contact mic is my own creation from a diy i found online (roughly €5 to make). Generic sci-fi drone. Created on a keyboard. Could be the sound of an alien vaporizing someone with some kind of ray/mind device. Or the sound of strange chemicals combining. Possibly a sudden super-dramatic character movement/drug freakout.

Science fiction-y droning with beeps and boops. Created on a synth.

A degraded alert signal transmission from a long lost civilization in the depths of space, or are they?.

These sci-fi synth sweeps were created by manipulating white noise with filter sweeps and other effects and then using noise reduction to remove the underlying white noise. You would need to pick through them and cut them up, but they can be useful for sound designing light graphic elements that move around and animate on and off.

Weeaaaooohhhweeeoooaaahhhw.

Simple keyboard pattern.

The spaceship portholes flashed of different coloured lights and let filter an increasing noise of tortured machines. Then it came a sudden explosion, so strong to lacerate the brain: an empty of white and yellow fire. Tones made with nch tone generator.

Long fade-in effect, ambient future style.

A pick-up for a weapon of some sort.

I put work by hermanschmidt and victorcenusa to chat with each other in this ambient piece having the odd chord accent.

Chaotic resonances that soon falls into more and more chaotic behavior. Quite a smooth chaotic noise sound. Made from 2 sine oscillator frequency modulating each other and some variable controls. Programmed in chuck programming language.

I made this with by swinging a toy lightsaber.

Recorded a door closing at my school and then modified it in audacity to create a sort of sproing-ing sound. Use: when you need a boomerang sound that isn't really a boomerang but that's ok because it sounds like one.

A strange and creepy sound effect. Use at will.

Long steady buzz, distorted. Sounds like a motor. Becomes quieter at one point.

This sounds more like a spray of energy than a gunshot to me, but whatever. Made in audacity. This sound is free to use.

I suppose you could say this is a bit science-fictiony. Kinda like background noise if you were alone in an abandoned space station or starship with the sound of machines and whatnot around you. And as an added bonus, it is a perfect loop. Recorded with a yescom pro studio condenser microphone using my own voice. Used audacity for editing.
