This sound effect was captured by me on video on my canon digital powershot a460 camera, i stood just above the motorway at charing cross glasgow scotland and captured this sound from the jam packed motorway, both sides were busy, i even caught the sound of a police car coming along the hard shoulder. It's hard to believe, but the dog began singing just after it had heard the sound and stopped when the sound stopped. The voice pitch also accompanied the melody.

If you're under 25 then you might hear a rather nasty high pitched siren sound. . . Terrible quality (mp3) recording but interesting to know just how much sound isn't heard. Fire alarm as used in sunderland royal hospital. This damn thing was tested over a dozen times, whilst i was sitting in the urology department waiting to have the p***taken out of me. I happened to be testing the voice recording capabilities of my sansa clip zip mp3 player, at the time. The recorder (edirol r-09rh) was set in a very high building, therefore the sound consists mainly of ambient noise, eventually with subtle concrete sounds (birds, childs, dogs, sirens,. . . ). The audio is unfiltered, so it's dominated by low-frequency energy. Filter as you wish :). (the web preview seems to have some high frequency artifacts.
