We can consider this sound as constant or not constant because although a noise is heard all the time, there are moments when it becomes softer or even gets lost. Had to be triggered by someone trying to draw the curtain.

I was walking through a local church venue during a large refurbishment project and realised the noise my footsteps were making was rather neat. Recorded on an iphone. . . It's all i had at the time!.

A straightforward pattern made in the lmms daw, i used the analog bell preset with a delayed, pitched-down arpeggio of sorts. Over time, the tempo increases, from about 50 bpm in the beginning, to 150 bpm in the end.

One sample run through lots of effects, but a large part of the sound is made by running the sample at really fast repetitions, so fast it just becomes a tone. That and making the sound repeat in fractions (?) or something like that. Like one trigger is 5 times and then the next is 3 times in the same space of time. Etc. Created by mangling a sample in reaper's js scripting language.

I set up my recorder outside on christmas eve in 2016 and unwittingly captured the sound of this anonymous and apparently oblivious neighbor walking his dog and singing "it's the most wonderful time of the year" down my street. Pretty charming!. I've noticed recently how my zoom h4 has this nasty looping hum buried beneath the already disappointingly stubborn background noise whenever i do field recordings. This sound is recorded directly from one of my original 1938 98cc light motorbikes. This time is a express (manufaturer) sl 102 (type). The noise you hear is all specific. It is the fuel cock on selection, the flooding of the carburettor, suction of the engine, two tries to bring the engine to live with clutch action inbetween. Running on idle and two short openings of the throttle. Engine is shut off by using the decompression lever which is typical for this period of time and two stroke engines. .

Really simple patch. Cv from nlc sloth to quantizer (doepfer a-156), via attenuverter. Triggers from doepfer a-160(161). But a tone is only generated if there is a change in cv from sloth. Its not 100% generative :-) first there is no cv connected to the oscillators. I connect them one at a time. The noise is also controlled by the same sloth. The analog delay is connected to barton musical circuits (bmc) 4 quadrant multiplier and panner acting as a panner, controlled by nlc jerk off (still a sick name on a great module). The ehh drum sound is generated by bmc decaying analog noise.

There's a staircase where my college radio station is and this door slam gets me every time - metallic slam with big, booming reverb. I posted another version that is just the last booming part of the slam, it's called "door slam 1".

I burped while recording, and part of it sounded just like a pig. You might expect this to effect my self esteem, but pigs are actually brutally effective fighters and can hold their breath for several months at a time. True story.
