This is a collection of whooshes that i created using melted sounds' whoosh reaktor patch, loaded with a collection of samples i recorded of a piece of sheet metal being rubbed with my hand. There are 35 different whooshes of fairly similar length in 01, and 29 varied whooshes in 02 which were hand-performed within the patch. Ps. If you like these, there is a second file with a wider variety of whooshes in a similar style here:. Http://www. Freesound. Org/people/framing_noise/sounds/256910/.

Alienxxx and i had a little private dare. This is how it sounds when i have mixed the two resulting files. I made a schematic sketch on a simple modular patch. All info was this sketch. The resulting sounds was meant to be 30seconds long and in mono. We both posted our sounds. Alienxxx sound http://freesound. Org/people/alienxxx/sounds/343864/my (gis_sweden) sound https://www. Freesound. Org/people/gis_sweden/sounds/344087/i wanted to mix the sounds as a stage two in this dare. This sound is the result of my mix.

Cptnal's comment on muffwiggler was an big aha moment. He wrote "you could patch the output of one s&h into the input of the next and get yourself a 12-step shift register. " well i don't have 12 s/h. I have 10. . . I would need a lot of sequenced gates to build that shift register. . . In this patch i use 4 s/h. (s/h or s&h is sample and hold. ).

A simple multi-sampled synthetic spacebass pack, containing 25 samples, derived from 2 octaves of a home made soft-synth patch. The original quality was 24 bits with a sample rate of 88. 2khz, which i converted with a very good src to 16 bits and 44. 1khz. Not that is was that important after all considering the fact that the patch itself has a grainy character in the higher frequencies. . . No compressing, equalizing whatsoever involved, the panning is pretty wide tho, with left and right sounding rather different, but in stereo it still feels pretty balanced i think.

Patch on a large modular analog synth, mainly doepfer but with some sputnik and intellijel modules. Sounds very arp 2600-ish, a soundcape reminiscent of birdsong and tweets. Mainly tuned filters seeded with pink noise.

The sound is going through zoom ms-70cdr. I use the "particer" reverb program. It acts like a compressor and limiter too. . . Kills the dynamics of the modular. Nice anyway - or not. . . And i use the ladik r-330 reverb too.

This sound was made with 3 lfos, 1 vco and 1 vca. It was decided that the sound should be 30s. It took some tries for me to set the lfo that controlled the vca. The vca controls the output amplitude of the sound.

In this patch i’m using doepfer a-160 clock divider as a sub bas generator. Square wave out from doepfer a-110 to trig in on a-160. I guess a square wave makes it easier for a-160? /4, in this patch, out to uvcf. The sawtooth from a-110 to another nice filter - the wasp filter. The transient modules 8s sequencer gives us an 8 note sequence. A copy of the sawtooth melody is going to an analog delay stomp box from joyo and back to the synth. Some reverb from a-199 sprv, spring reverb. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch?v=ssrlq42phvi.

The deep, low octave sound effect popularised by eric serra for the goldeneye film score. It is available on the e-mu proteus 2 fx synth module under the patch "infinite". Alternatively, you can make a similar sound by sampling a woodblock/tambourine/cowbell and then pitching it down heavily (with added reverb).

No it didn't. Well cool patch anyway? it's what i like. Small variations on a simple theme. Sloth lfos and a jerk off (both from nlc) are the engine. Yes and a comparator. Using an or/gate-combiner to create a trigger-ish for quadra to react on. Analog delay and spring reverb. Why did i do this patch from the very beginning? when the voltage on x from sloth reaches a specific value a trigger is generated and i sample the value on y and uses to select pitch on an oscillator. The one playing the long tones. Chaos creates my variations. Sh1t, now when i've stopped recording cool thing are happening. Promise. . .

Electronic minute no 27 - combined forces. A patch with 2 unrelated patchesthey share an lfo. . . A) 2 lfos playing with a-101-1 vactrol vcfthe filter is feed with a square wave. B) a more advanced patchtriggers from env. Follow. Feed with cv from jerkoff (chaos)noise to a slew controlled by a sloth lfos/h to oscosc to vcathe vca is controlled by the same lfo as the slew but inverted!. Evaluation of patch/soundone cycle is - cycles? about 1min - goodonly short sounds - no, and thats goodamplitude variation - fairly goodpitch variation - yes, goodtimbre variation - not bad at allmusical value - i should consider this musicalentertaining - think so, yes.
