Shed door opens, then closed. First with a metallic click to unlock and followed by a long opening creaking door. Once opened there is a plastic rustle and the door closes with an even longer spooky creaking noise. Followed by a clunk when shut and a metallic click to lock the shed door. Silence back and front.

Soundscape in the cacique hall, a huge chamber in the spanish karstic system ojo guareña. This was recorded in total darkness. Many drippings can be heard here and there in a nice stereo. Is it an oppressive atmosphere or a relaxing background?. Recorded with sony pcm-d50.

Recording of a pair of oven mitts being hit together. Might be useful in a game as an inventory sound. Recorded using a blue yeti microphone at 16-bit 44100hz in audacity. Used audacity's noise removal filter to to remove background noise. For this file, i isolated the samples i liked and left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. This is the sound of cold winter wind finding its way through the gaps in our living room window. The recording has been edited to remove long stretches of silence, and has had some light noise reduction applied. The noise floor is still quite high though, so maybe best to put this one fairly low in the mix. Recorded using a zoom h2 with its rear mics activated.

I like to put special attention into not only the sounds and rhythms used in my work, but also the shape of the tracks itself when looked at in an audio editor. I enjoy working with dc-offsetted sounds, as i believe that, although there is not much of a difference when listened to, they must be picked up differently somehow by the brain.

File contains a second collection of 4 or 5 creepy, clichéd "hypno-tones" in the theremin's lowest ranges, each separated with 5 seconds of silence. Each hypnotone in the file uses a different waveform/tonal setting to give you various textural choices. As always, these sounds are recorded "dry" so that you can tweak and tweeze, add effects, overdub and mangle them any way you like.

Bordeaux, france03/27/2020 9:30am. In the morning i heard some birds and woke up to record them. But i took too much time to go out of my bed to record. . So when i started the recording, humans arrives in the street with some music and the birds keep singing at the same time. Finally, birds keep quiet and surely flee from humans who goes further. Then it's silence.

A test tone that can be used for final mix for tv and other similar media. It contains 10 seconds of silence and then 30 seconds of a 1khz test tone (sine wave) with the digital level set at -6dbfs. Uploaded as 24/48 wav for post production work. See http://en. Wikipedia. Org/wiki/dbfs for some details on analogue alignment levels.

Who has ever experienced complete inner peace and tranquility knows the feeling of peace that remains for days in your system. Of course there are always those impressions around you that distract you from that. But by regularly absorbing that silence, that tranquility, this peace grows. Eventually the feeling of peace is ruling and there is only just an occasional little storm. That keeps you alert, so that is good as well. So, peace at last.

Ever wandered through a spanish street market? the sound will be familiar to — very possibly all too familiar! this recording was made so close to the offending mechanical toy, that it has even picked up the noises of the mechanism itself. There is a small amount of background noise. Seemingly unnecessary period of silence included is the exact cause before the next outburst of squeaking. Set repeat function on your sound editor recording.

It's a recording of wooden door in an old village house getting closed rapidly. There is some overhead silence in this recording to allow making a smooth transision for this sample (fade-in and fade-out), because there is some background noise and little sound of me moving around. Recorded with a zoom h2 at 48khz/24-bit, edited, nomalized and converted to flac using audacity.

This is a nightingale in a very quiet environment, which is played 4 times slower. The gaps between the verses are removed, otherwise there would be always round about 20 seconds silence. The reverb is natural (no sound effects added), but sounds epic after slow downed with factor 4. The original 96khz/24bit-track was recorded with zoom f8 by using four rode nt1. Recording distance to the nightingale was 5-6 meter. ;-).

Small crocodile chirping. This is audio extracted from https://imgur. Com/gallery/wdhouta and lightly cropped (silence at start). Permission was kindly given to upload to freesound under cc0 license. Noise removal in audacity helps with the background noise, but i didn't apply it to this recording. If you want to say thanks, upload an edited version of this sound (noise removal, alien-mastering, whatever you ended up with). :).

This is a recording made from the balcony of my apartment in italy in the province of rieti, the other evening during the two-hour new year's barrels. From 11 they gradually begin to increase gradually until midnight when they get really strong, then gradually decrease gradually until ten to one, when you hear all silence. This recording was done with my iphone 11 connected to the shure mv88 plus digital stereo microphone.

It's ranging form whisper to shout. Recorded with a zoom h2 on a mic stand. Originally wav 96khz/24-bit. It was silence-truncated with audacity and normalized. Ps:. I don't speak english natively, so i might not pronounce it as expected. If that's a problem - let me know i'll try to correct myself.

A series of 5 short, natural poots, aka. Farts, separated by about a half-second of silence. All natural and relatively good quality, ie. Low noise, no echo, etc. Recorded by the producer on different occasions and post-processed using audacity (equalization, amplification, noise-reduction) to achieve more consistent levels and fidelity. Recorded on a moto g5 plus (smartphone) using easy voice recorder (android). Cute > nasty?.

Plucking the rim of an empty wine glass with my finger. Recorded a bunch of samples then isolated the ones i liked into this file. Left a small gap of silence between them for separation later. Foley footsteps on gravel/small pebbles for a beach. Walking, running, and sitting gently and hard - originally being used for an audio drama podcast. This is a completely raw recording, so have kept in 'silence' for you to clean how you prefer, depending if you're doing anything to the pitch. Recorded on a se electronics x1 large condenser mic. Feel free to use in anything. I've benefitted hugely from people's files here, so if this is helpful for anyone, that's brilliant.

Wild parrots started flying in and landing on the trees along mission bay in san diego on a cool, cloudy day. I walk around and catch some individuals and groups. Sometimes they fly overhead. I live on a lake and this is what my back patio sounds like every night. They live in the branches of the weeping willow trees that dip down to the water. The sound starts with one frog, then a few join in, and soon there as a chorus of them on all ends of the lake in all tempos going at once. Then when a crescendo is reached, they all start to stop one by one until it's silent again. But the silence only lasts for minute, and then the cycle repeats. I don't know if it's some huge frog mating ritual, or family reunion.

A high quality recording with a solid collection of various snow footstep sounds. There's sounds of slow walking, fast walking, running, jumping and kicking the snow. You should be able to get pretty much all you need for a game or a film in this recording regarding feet and snow. Recorded with a zoom h2 at 96 khz / 24-bit, truncated and saved to flac using audacity. I left some silence n the start if you want to denoise it yourself, but i think it shouldn't be necessary. It's me saying some words. I've recorded my speech and then used ardour's (http://ardour. Org) looping funtionality (which have proven to be rock-solid) to perform theese glitches. I used my mouse to select random ranges in the session, then used the "]" key to set tre selected region as a loop range. And also used "l" key to start looping if i accidentaly clicked on the playhead (which makes it stop playing). I also used space bar to break the loop into normal playback. There was a limiter in ardour. Recorded the performace using jack_capture cli program. I cut out some silence using audacity and converted the recording to flac.

The beautiful sounds of office life. This is audible interference from a cheap ballast in a florescent light fixture--or several in close proximity. (it's probably violating fcc regulations with rf output too. ) this was recorded with an iphone builtin mic, then processed to isolate the sound. It's a beeping / humming at around 3,800 hz. Each beep lasts about 1 second, followed by a half-second of silence before the next beep. Toward the end of this recording, it shifts slightly upward in pitch, to around 4,000 hz. Some typing on a keyboard can be heard in the foreground. (it's an office, after all. ).

In cabin. Train wheels grinding the rails, odd wind howling makes a melody. Water bottles stored under the cabin seats make soft sounds. Recorded with tascam dr-40. I've only used the internet to facilitate human contacts. Being with actual people in actual places has always been the goal. I like it when, in the presence of real people, we don't speak for a while. We just do something that we've agreed to do together in silence. There is an agreement and we don't have to think about who we are, how we can be who we are or what it all means. Doing becomes meaning.

This is a recording of all in-flight announcements from a flight attendant, the first officer and captain during a flight from atlanta to new york on august 17, 2018, recorded directly from the headphone jack at my seat with a zoom h1n. Each clip is separated by a few seconds of silence. For authenticity, i left all the dc voltage spikes and electronic noise in place. This may be useful if you want an authentic announcement without the acoustics, i. E. Use your own speaker sims or impulse responses to fit into an existing sound design environment. I never did figure out why the first officer said "hello. . . Are you back there? hello? hello?" but it has been captured anyway.

Me squeezing a crumpled bag of doritos, recorded with an sm57 going into an m-audio mobilepre usb audio interface. I recorded this because i needed a good rubber stretching sound, but couldn't find one that looped well. When i crumpled the bag up to throw it away, i realized it kind of sounds like what i wanted, and with some eqing and clever layering i could get a sound that's pretty close to what i wanted. I've uploaded the final result under my "processed sounds" pack, but here are the raw sounds for you to use, completely unprocessed. I've left some silence/noise at the beginning/end of these so that you can easily remove the noise if you so choose.

As already stated, he term, "pyew!" does not refer to a funky smell. Think of it as the sound bernadette (from big bang theory) makes when she's playing video games and trying to phonetically approximate the single shot of a ray gun or laser weapon. This file contains a whopping 17 different individual sounds each separated by 3 seconds of silence, and each with a different lengths and sonic qualities. Everything you need to go totally pyew-wild!. *all sounds by realtheremin are genuine theremin recordings; they are provided dry, without effects of any kind, allowing you to add reverb, echo, pitch shifts, phlanging, etc. , and edit them in any way you choose. Every effort has been made to eliminate/reduce hum and distortion (unless intentionally noted).

This sound is a representation of a researcher getting out from a soundproofed room which is used for the brain cognition experiments. You can notice the difference in the ambient noise between inside and outside of it. As researchers of the center for brain and cognition, we work to advance our understanding of how experience influences the emergence of structure and function through computational and experimental investigation. We are also interested in understanding how mechanisms regulating brain development interact with the effects of experience to produce the structural and functional characteristics of the brain. These lines of research clarify how specific biological mechanisms routinely support the emergence of cognitive functions, leading to insights into why experience is so important for normal brain development. It's a recording of a calcium-sandoz® forte/fuerte 500 mg effervescent tabled falling into a glass of water and dissolving. You can hear the tablet dropping into the water and water droplet hitting water surface back. After w while - co2 buubles start to appear creating noisy sound. The recording has a long natural fadeout and unfortunately some background noise. I leaved "silence" before the sound starts so you can de-noise the recording to your needs (i prefer audacity for denoisig). Recorded inside of my wardrobe for acoustic isolation using zoom h2 on a mic-stand. Recoded as 96khz/24-bit wav. Normalized, truncated and convertet do 16-bit flac using audacity. I've converted this to 16-bit as it still has plenty of noise and 24-bits would not be any better after normalization.

The beautiful, simple call of the field cricket is one of my favorite insect sounds. In late summer though the huge choruses of katydids and cicadas often drown out the simple beauty of this love song. Later, as the season progresses into fall and the temps dip to where the cicadas and katydids no longer sing, these simple, beautiful field cricket calls still last up to the time that the days just can't stay warm any longer. I like to see how late into the season i can hear these guys---something just hauntingly mesmerizing hearing this sound and no other on a mild autumn day, after a cold night. . I was fortunate enough to capture this recording on september 4th 2013 in my backyard. Recording made around 4:30 in the morning with my h4n recorder using its internal built-in microphones.

It's me jamming a bit using my epiphone's explorer (tuned to drop-d). Recorded with a zoom h2 via mic-in and a jack cable. Unprocessed an undedited recording. I tried out some licks and chords. I'm not a good guitarist. Nevetheless, this might be a nice recording if you're making an animation about learning musician, or a game with a band member rehearsing alone in a room, or if you want to just chill to my little jam session. This should be mono, but i calculated the difference between left and right channel and it is not zero. So i uploaded it as a stereo file. Could use some denoising. There is some silence at the beginning so you can do that if you need.

Circle of 5ths loop compiled on a 2015 macbook pro using field recordings. Tempo / time sig:24 bars of 3/4 timing with each bar lasting 2. 5s. Or 12 sets of 6/8 at 5s per bar with a total length of 60s. Filters:hipass pumped at 60hz, -5db. Lopass pumped at 1200hz at -6db. Delay set to 0. 05s at 600hz with a 60% wet mix. Arranged with the tonic 5th as a constant with the last (fifth) 5th in the circle, starting and ending with the tonic. Second 5th enters in 5s, third in 15s and the fourth in 25s as the fifth stops. The fifth 5th begins to fade back in after 10s of silence, which begins the process of the second, third and fourth fading out in that order. The fifth 5th is at full volume as the loop turns, as is the tonic. The mood changes noticeably as each consecutive 5th begins, and changes again as the following 5th joins the loop.

A hostage, a lightbulb, a camera. A hard conversation and a lot of uncomforable silences. This sound is part of the weird roomtones and silences soundpack - a compilation of synthetic ambiences and silences meant to enhance a neutral atmosphere in the desired direction. The filenames usually describe an imaginary situation that i imagine would need the particular roomtone, often influenced by movies i've watched. >>>> you can use the soundpack as you wish, but i'd be happy to hear your feedback. In particular - how did you use the sound (for example, what kind of scene) and what can be improved. <<<<thank you in advance!.

Shortwave wide-band digital emission recorded on july 15, 2014 at 15:17 utc in am mode using 2 instances of the online remote controllable short-wave receiver located at the amateur radio club etgd at the university of twente the netherlands. Left channel was recorded below the central frequency, at a frequency of 10187khz, right channel was recorded above the central frequency, at 10191khz. This was an experiment to see if selective fading would create stereo effects, as the lower frequency part of the transmission would be heard better in the left channel, and the higher frequency component would be heard better on the right. I used goldwave to put the separate recordings into 2 channels of the same file, after i synched the recordings by ear at 1/16 playback speed using a set of 2 particularly strong lightning static crashes as a guide, trimming off everything that came before the first strike in both original recordings, then inserting silence in the range of a few milliseconds until the stereo separation was as close to zero as i could get it. I wasn't as successful at that as i've been with experiments with voice recordings from simultaneous broadcasts on 2 wavelengths that i haven't posted here.

Quite simply a recording of me screaming in a humorous way (if you're looking for a scream sound effect for a project with a serious tone, i doubt this one will be suitable). Even though i'm a woman, i have a feeling this sound could be used for a male character too, probably one with a voice that's not too deep. I recorded this by mistake when i was just 14! me and my sister had just been recording something on my mp3 player, then when we'd finished, i accidentally pressed record again. I don't know why, but i responded by doing a silly scream before pressing the button to stop recording! weird reaction, i know. I was probably just trying to make her laugh. I kept the very short recording ever since and in more recent years, i showed it to a friend who found it absolutely hilarious! i realised this was a such a gem of a scream that i simply had to upload it as my first ever contribution to this wonderful site i've been using for years!. I've edited out one second of silence that preceded the scream in the original version of the file. Although it's not essential because i'm releasing this into the public domain, i'd love to hear in the comments about what you use this sound for :).
